My stay at Quartermain House was absolutely wonderful. My room was comfortable, well furnished, and the bed and pillows were perfect for a good night's sleep. The sitting area outside of my room was a lovely place for an afternoon cup of tea, as I had that floor to myself during my autumn visit. A big shout out to Debra for her charm and hospitality, and for the amazing breakfasts she prepared. I will definitely be back. Quartermain House is the perfect place to be for a fall visit to Fredericton.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Quartermain House in Fredericton, which was the last stop on our two week tour of the Canadian Maritimes. Deborah, our hostess, was so welcoming, and our room was really gorgeous. (The bathroom was twice the size of our bathroom at home, and with all new, updated fixtures.) The owners keep the place spotless, and really do their best to care for everything you need or request. The breakfasts that Deborah prepares are amazing! I'd love to know how she makes those blueberry crumble bakes, and the rest of the meal is sumptuous as well. They even keep a jar of freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies in the hallway as well, in case you get the "tummy rumbles" between meals. The price on our stay was very reasonable as well...truly an incredible value for the dollar. (Oh, and they have the most GORGEOUS car as well, although he only made appearances when he could sneak out of the back room!) I highly recommend this B&B, although make sure to get a reservation a long ways in advance, as they only use two guest rooms. Everything about it was absolutely top notch!…

Debra shares her home with warmth and graciousness. This b&b is filled with all the beauty of an old house, alongside all the love of a contemporary family living and thriving in the space today. Guests have everything they need, to rest, use the house as a home, and Debra gives you space and privacy to do so. Breakfast met the high standards set by the home, and was served in the dining room where we were able to quietly plan the next stage of our journey. Bed new and comfy, bathroom spectacular! Stay here if ever you are inFredericton, it will be a lovely experience and add to your memories. Thanks Debra! we’ll come again, and refer friends. Bonita and Dan

Wow - this B&B is outstanding. The period house is beautiful and decor sublime. We had a beautiful room with incredibly comfortable bed with Ferraro Rocher chocolates in the room. Lovely period furniture and modern Nespresso machine. The en suite was large with modern walk in shower, roll top bath and two sinks. There were large fluffy towels and dressing gowns and slippers. The air con was efficient and quiet. Our host Debra was welcoming and made us cup of tea on arrival accompanied by cookies. There was a library to sit in and the breakfast was divine. Lots of small touchs made this an outstanding stay - we were sorry it was only for one night. It is easy to walk into town.

It takes a lot of work to run a successful B&B. We had no idea where to stay in Fredericton but knew we wanted to stay in a B&B. Doing some homework, Quartermain House caught our interest. Maybe it was the name or mention of the cookies. Having stayed there two nights, Aug 10 and 11, I can tell you now you will not find a better place to stay in Fredericton. Read the reviews if you want but Debra has put her heart and soul in this property. I suggest you stay in the room with the huge en suite. Details are taken care of, all the little things are there....and then there is that breakfast. She manages, she designs, she organizes, she cleans and oh, can she cook. No wonder we will stay there again when we return.

This is a wonderful B & B! Debra has thought of everything you may need for a pleasant, personal experience at the Quartermain House. Our room had a very comfortable bed. The ensuite was glorious including a double headed shower, double sinks and a separate soaker tub. All the COVID precautions were being taken care of including contactless check-in/check-out, cleanliness was excellent and we felt like we had the House to ourselves! Breakfast was fabulous and filling! We only needed to eat two meals those days after our enormous breakfast. The house is located within easy walking distance to downtown and to the Thorpe walking bridge that takes you to the northside and other walking/biking trails. We will stay here next time and recommend it to anyone visiting Fredericton.

Of the many Bed and Breakfasts in which we've stayed, this is one of the most memorable. The house itself was charming, the room was lovely, the cookies were delicious; the breakfast was amazing; and the host was welcoming and helpful. There are only three rooms, so we felt fortunate to have got a booking.

Spent one night in this beautiful B & B and sorry we weren’t staying longer. Our accommodation was very comfortable and the room was well equipped with so many thoughtful extras. We didn’t have an en-suite but our private bathroom was close by and lovely. .Breakfast was generous and well prepared. The location is central and an easy walk to local restaurants. Debra the owner-host was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!

This ranks alongside the very best B&B’s that we stayed in while vacationing in New Zealand a few years ago. Anyone reading this who has experienced New Zealand B&B’s will know that this is a huge compliment. It is a magnificently preserved old house of immaculate proportions. There are two beautifully furnished lounges downstairs for the use of residents, and an absolutely lovely breakfast room. As far as we could tell, there are only three rooms. The one we had was superb, with real quality antique furniture in a period decoration room. The bathroom was enormous with a stand-alone bath and the best shower that I have ever experienced. Although the house has been maintained/restored to the highest standard preserving the period feel of the place, all modern conveniences necessary have been incorporated. So the bedroom and bathroom have underfloor heating, the bedroom has a/c, there is a coffee machine etc, etc. Add to that high quality linen and towels. Breakfast, which is included, was superb. In addition to the usual options, we had a beautiful omelette and an upside-down peach pancake to share between us. They were magnificent. This is an absolutely first class B&B, and far ahead of most hotels never mind B&B’s. If you are in the Fredericton area, you absolutely must stay here!…
