Detailed Reviews
My family had a flood in our home and we had to find a place to accommodate 2 adults, 2 kids and a small dog !! needless to say this was a stressful time for us. When I called the hotel I spoke with the manager May lee that automatically took charge of dealing with communicating with our assurance company. She booked us a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchen. When we came in to check in the front desk was very helpful and kind. The staff working in the breakfast room, we're so efficient making sure every station was filled and tables were promptly cleaned. For me what really stood out was how friendly and joyful they all were. We were always greeted with a big smile and a warm hello. This was consistent from the cleaning ladies, to front desk clerks and kitchen staff. The pool was kept clean and towels full. All and all It was amazing to have all these friendly faces , it made our stay feel like home.

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights to cap off our March Break. We were not disappointed!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in process didn’t take very long.
Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Love how the kitchenette is roomy and stocked well with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, etc. My only complaint about the room is how they have designed it so that the bathroom sink is not actually in the bathroom. Also, the in-room coffee needs improvement. Would love to see a keurig.
The pool was fantastic and clean. Aside from the oblivious parents who stare at their phones while their pre-teen boys splash infants and other guests in the pool without being considerate. That happens at any hotel. We visited the pool 3 times and only once were the towels unavailable but just bring your own beach towels and problem solved!
Breakfast staff were very friendly and attentive and were quick to replace food as buffet items ran low. They were also very quick to clean tables as guests left the restaurant. The food was good and had all the typical breakfast items you’d expect to see. Coffee, again, left much to be desired. I’d recommend bringing in Starbucks or another similar brand or at least selling it in the market for those who might want to brew it in room.
Parking lot is small and cramped and fills up quickly early evening, too bad the hotel couldn’t make use of the adjacent business parking lot for overflow.
Overall, we had a 5 star experience and will definitely visit again!

Despite the pandemic, the Residence Inn was very busy over the Labour Day weekend. Amanda at the front desk checked us in quickly and let us know all the safety measures in place due to COVID-19 and other helpful info (staff and guests must wear masks in all public areas, physical distancing, limited people in pool area so you need to reserve a spot, parking, smoking area outside, complimentary breakfast procedures, etc.) She was very welcoming and just a pleasant person to deal with.
Our king studio was on the third floor, facing the back of the hotel. It had a fully equipped kitchenette with table and two chairs. The living room area had a very comfortable sofa bed/couch with extended lounge area so you could put up your feet and the TV was on a bureau and could swivel so that it served both the living room and bedroom area. The king bed was very comfortable. There is a closet and sink area outside the bathroom, which had a toilet and large shower.
Everything was very clean and well maintained. Room was very quiet and air conditioning worked well.
The only negative during our stay was regarding the pool/hot tub and the reason I deducted one star from my review. I suspect the hot tub isn't functioning well, as you could barely feel the jets and the filtration system wasn't getting rid of the fine debris of the previous users. Also, it smelled very strongly of chlorine which in retrospect was probably a good thing. The pool was on the cold side, so as much as we were looking forward to using both the hot tub and pool, we only stayed a couple of minutes there. As mentioned previously, access to the pool area is limited and you must reserve your spot if you want to use the facilities there.
Before checking out, we had the complimentary breakfast which was quite good. Scrambled eggs, sausages, toast, bagels, yogurts, cereals, juices and tea and coffee were all available. Everything was served out by staff, behind a plexiglas shield. No guests were handling any food - staff would bring your choices to your table for you. Much better system than some of the other hotels that are just handing out a bagged meal.
Would we return to Residence Inn? Definitely! The price we paid was reasonable and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others who are looking for a downtown Moncton location.

We had a comfortable king suite overlooking a side street, so it was pretty quiet. We had to pin the drapes shut to keep out morning light. Breakfast was standard, although they were out of one of the cereals one day. We were informed about housekeeping every 3rd day, but after our 3rd night no one came to clean. Mid-afternoon we requested fresh towels, which were delivered after about an hour. There was a fire alarm at midnight the first night of our stay. I was surprised how many people actually left the hotel. But there was no one from the hotel to let us know what happened and to ensure safety (we saw 2 people fall from the steep step when exiting the building). Next day, no explanation, no apologies. Charge for parking. Two of four dryers in the laundry room were out of order, as was one of 6 washing machines.

Room was nice and comfy. Bed was decent, kitchen and living area excellent. Place was very clean. Unfortunately the breakfast was not great. Eggs were mush one day and rubber the next, fruit was old bananas or an orange, oatmeal was watery. We booked this stay to relax and use the pool and hot tub (my husband had business in Moncton too), and we found the pool very cold, and the hot tub out of order. I called a few days ahead to be sure the facilities were working, since the hot tub was the primary reason we chose this hotel and they assured me they were. Once there, we noticed the water in the hot tub was very chilly and none of the jets or intakes were functional, so we contacted guest services and someone came. He said he would try and turn it on, but nothing happened. The next day the hot tub was marked out of service. The following morning, when we had to check out, it appeared to be working. We paid more to visit this hotel so that we could enjoy those amenities, so we were pretty disappointed. During our stay, one elevator was down, and one afternoon, the second elevator was also down as well, forcing us to take the stairs. Staff was kind and friendly. Overall, I’m not sure I would stay again.

Convenient location, spacious room, very helpful staff, good breakfast.
We brought along several bicycles for our trip and the staff was very helpful to ensure security for the bicycles.
Although the breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast, everything was very clean. The pastry was freshly baked on premise. The breakfast room staff was very helpful. So overall, the breakfast experience is much better than those from similar hotels.
Overall, this hotel is a better value than hotels in a similar price range.

We had to leave a day earlier for our trip to Saint John and stayed in Moncton for the night. We all had a great time and stayed in the 2 bedroom suite that gave us all the space we needed traveling as a family (grandparents and small family of 3).
The pool and hot tub was fun, breakfast was great and the staff were fabulous at check in and check out.
We had a bit of time in the morning to head down the main road and found the greatest shop - STILE.
Highly recommend!

Convenient location, with pleasant front desk staff. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped; convenient (paid) parking available. When busy, the breakfast room can feel quite crowded—but the food is good, with lots of variety.

Stayed in Moncton as our central point to visit NB, PEI and NS. Location was pretty good. Not far from highway and right next to the Tidal Bore park. Overall the rooms were clean, roomy and comfortable. Love having a full kitchen for extended stay.
Minor issues I do want to make note of is a broken shower dispenser and towel bar that falls apart when we touched it. Minor issues, and I forgot to tell front desk about these. The breakfast are just seems like it's not large enough for the number of guests they have. So every day it's a struggle to find a table if you have a family. Individuals and couples should have no problems with the bar stool type setup on the sides. They also have a have time keep the hot food supplied but the staff did their best.
The gym has treadmill, elliptical, free weights, towels and filtered water dispenser. The pool is not big but serviceable. Minor issue is that the pool was filled to one foot lower than the depth markings during our stay; so that was a bit disappointing.
The on premise parking can be challenging during the evenings as there is a Keg at the hotel but I didn't have a situation where I couldn't find parking, just a bit further into the underground section, which isn't so obvious despite the signs. For those with Marriot Platinum Elite or higher, parking was free.

This is a large hotel at the edge of downtown, walking distance to shops, restaurants and the waterfront. The room was large and bright and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good too. The only mild complaint is that $16/day parking seemed excessive.

The asking lot has plenty of spots. It is a tight lot but lots of spots. I think it was $20/night.
There is a Keg attached to the hotel, great food and a lot of options close by.
Hi
