Great stay at the Hampton Inn on Mapleton! Many thanks to the wonderful front-desk staff (Jackie & Amy) for exceptional service and remedying the issue with our room (smoke alarm, displaced shower faucet). The hotel itself is very clean and the breakfast had good variety and good coffee! The King suite at this location is a treat. Spacious and well designed, with a nice kitchenette. We all slept soundly on both nights. The pool and slides were a hit with my kids, and the gym was well equipped. Jackie really took the time to provide a good overview of Moncton and its main attractions as well as suggest possible dining options. She also gave us a nice top level highlight of the hotel and all- in-all a wonderful individual. Hampton Inn is lucky to have her at front-desk - welcoming, friendly, and most helpful.

The location of this hotel is very convenient for anyone travelling through Moncton! They have the friendliest front desk staff (Kim, Danielle & Kayla) and it was a really nice touch to see the general manager out interacting with guests. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and we were happy to see they replaced the small disposable plastic bottles with large wall-mounted bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer. Great environmental move! They also offer one of the best stocked breakfast buffet's we've ever encountered in this chain of hotels. The water bottle fill station was an added bonus. We'll definitely make this our Moncton go-to hotel in the future!

Haven't been travelling since COVID and I see that rooms have been refurnished. Carpets are gone which is a plus for me as carpets tend to cause allergic reactions. My room was a little too sparse for my taste. The office workdesk has been replaced with a small round dining table in the corner of the room with mismatched seats. Very uncomfortabe and unfriendly for a work environment. The small comfly lounge chair and accompnaying ottoman were also gone. Two things. Without this peice of furniture, the room felt barren and uninviting plus I personally like to relax in this chair before hitting the bed. I nice way to wind down. Everything else at this location was A1.

We were very disappointed that our stay did not go as well as planned. Usually, when we have booked this particular location our room(s) are perfect.
On this occasion, we found that things have changed: rooms that have relocated furniture not appropriate to their setting, slavenly service, air conditioning inadequate, etc.
During our stay, the staff took a full day to make our room on more than one occasion.; requested towels were forgotten and reminders applied but forgotten;
garbage not emptied all week, and the list goes on.
I strongly recommend that someone take on a review of this location on your behalf.
We will not be returning to this location until I am assured that these steps have been taken.

I stayed as part of a Hockey Team. I realize that a group young boys can be a distraction to other guests. At other Hilton Hotels the staff was always accommodating and understanding; they worked with the parent group so we wouldn’t be a distraction. As stated, this is not my (nor the teams) first time staying at a busy Hotel; so we understand the rules and abide by them . My child had a mini stick in his possession while in the lobby, a particular staff member told him that the stick had to stay in the room and was not permitted out of said room. I would like to note that no child of our group was playing with their mini sticks in the hallway or lobby. My son returned his mini stick to his mothers room. A short time later I was exiting my room, only to find the same employee briskly walking down the hall and speaking harshly to my child - and I quote “I was watching you through the security cameras downstairs - this is your final warning, no if’s and’s or but’s”. This was communicated to a 9 yr old child… again, I only happened upon it as I was exiting my room. To clarify, the stick the employee saw via this ‘security camera’ was NOT a mini stick, it was a full size brand new stick that my son was showing his friend… and the stick was back in the room at the time the employee spoke to my son. We (my child’s mother and I) visited the front desk to discuss the matter, we specifically asked what rules were broken; if our child was being loud; if our child was playing with his stick in the hall; if our child was running in the hallway, to which the employee in question answered no. I’m so very disappointed as a Hilton Honors Member and as a customer. I’ve never had a poor experience with Hilton before which makes this so upsetting. When staying in Moncton again… I will probably be looking for other accommodations.

The staff at the front desk were professional and accommodating, and the hotel seemed very popular with families travelling in August. The beds and bedding were not comfortable, but the most disappointment came at breakfast, which ends at 9:30, so at 9 a.m. there is a huge bottleneck only to find that many things have run out and will not be replenished. I would have been better off going to Tim Hortins for breakfast. 9:30 is not a very accommodating breakfast cut off as travellers often don't sleep well in hotels and need extra time in the morning. In addition, just as your sister hotel, the Holiday Inn, I am at a loss as to why you would serve breakfast on paper plates with plastic forks and knifes. This is not a barbecue party. The cutlery is so flimsy that it doesn't even cut the waffles. The Hampton Hotel chain should be ashamed of themselves, so much garage and single use plastics piling up every day at breakfast. We were to stay 2 nights and left early.

Avoid the continental breakfast. One cranky old lady there refused to open up the extra section "for 2 people" when a steady line of people before and after us had to go eat in their rooms because there was no seating. Was rude with my boyfriend about a tray being left on top of the waffle batter case when it wasn't even his. Also, a make your own waffle station with no canned whip cream, not sure why that always seems to be the one ingredient under lock and key like it's $100 a can and not just sitting in a fridge with the coffee creamer like you would expect.

All of the other staff was great, great restaurant recommendations from the woman working the afternoon shift and the evening staff hooked me up with a couple of tampons free of charge.

However, if you stay at hotels for the breakfast, skip this one!

what a Desaster...after 12 hours of driving we arrived at this hotel and immediately went to bed as we were facing another long drive in the morning. At day light, jumped into the shower but guess what....there was no shower. The plumbing device that changes the flow of water from the tub to the shower had been removed and not replaced, so ended up on my hands and knees putting my head under the faucet. Moved on to shave at the sink and the handle that operates the water was broken and only allowed cold water to flow. These were important aspects of a hotel stay that must have been ignored by the staff and should have been fixed before allowing anyone to occupy that room. This room was described at check in as a "newly renovated" section of the hotel....guess they forgot the bathroom. Additionally, the refrigerator didn't work as well.
This hotel is way overpriced given the negative condition of the rooms and uncaring staff. When checking out, we communicated our challenges to the front desk and their response was to offer us a "free" bottle of water for our inconvenience.
Lots of better options in that town.

I stayed with family and friends during the weekend of YQM Country Fest. Despite how busy the hotel was, they allowed us to check in early, provided a cot as requested, were prompt to respond to requests such as replacement towels, extra blankets, etc. The staff was friendly, free parking was available, and there were many good options for the continental breakfast including gluten-free options. We were accidently charged twice for the room but they reversed the charge immediately when we informed them of the mistake.

We have stayed here on vacations regularly over the years, never disappointed. This stay maintained the high standards in every respect. Staff are always pleasant, engaging and helpful. Breakfast is great. Rooms and elsewhere clean and well maintained. We continue to return because they earn it each time. As patrons of the nearby casino we are always fully comped free stays at their casino hotel but prefer the Hampton Inn.
