We stopped for one night in our road trip to Newfoundland. The room was clean, the shower has good pressure, the bathtub is lower encoge to give small kids a good bath after been in the car for long hours. The pool it’s in the back of the building doesn’t have a shallow area for small kids or lifeguard on duty. The breakfast was good and hot, beans, hash browns, sausage and eggs. They have cereal, breads and some pastries. Coffee, tea and juices. It’s at a walking distance of the magnetic hills main and across the street from KFC and Burger King. I don’t give them a 5 points because the a/c drains in the hallway and you have to slam the door of the room for it to close.

Needed an overnight stay in Moncton, close to the Casino. Decided to take a chance and stay at Hotel Moncton.

We were a little worried it might be a dive, but we were pleasantly surprised. The desk clerk was pleasant and checked us in quickly. Lobby area is clean and quite nice. Our stay included a free breakfast in the restaurant off the lobby.

Our room was a drive up, #104. The bathroom in this unit was completely remodeled... new bathtub/shower, toilet, new floor and a vanity with granite countertop and new faucet. Spotless clean.

There were two queen beds with fresh, white linens. The bedspreads were dated and mattress though comfortable was noisy. We all slept well.

Other amenities were a very large wall mounted flatscreen TV, great wi-fi, microwave, mini fridge, Kuerig coffee maker with two pods and a small table with two chairs.

The owners are very present, working on the landscaping and setting up the breakfast area. We were greeted and were very surprised by the quality of the food offered (scrambled eggs, sausages, baked beans, cereals, toast, croissants, coffee, tea and juices).

We would definitely stay here again.

On their website they show you receive $10 off the room rate if you book online. I did book online and never got any discount. When I arrived I told the desk clerk and he just said that he has no idea about that. So I showed him online and he just said that he can’t control the website.

Rooms old, clean lacking amenities. Only 1 cup in the room. It is a loud building
Would search elsewhere or at least don’t book online through their website.

Stayed 2 days, upon leaving I pulled back the bedsheets all the way down to bottom of bed, then I noticed about 3/4 down there is 2 dried feces stains! Clearly the beds where not changed from the previous guest and my bed had 2 feces stains! Literally brought the sheet to the front desk and long story short, manager couldn't care less, just said they would speak to housekeeping. Implied I only mention the feces on the last day in order to get a free room. Receptionist referred to it as a stain, no it was dried feces, there is a difference between a stain and feces. Also wouldn't acknowledge that there was a situation. Just said I should have inspected the bed within 15 minutes upon arrival in order to lodge a complaint. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

This hotel is quite amazing for the price! Our room was exceptionally clean and as it was around the back, was very quiet. The bed was comfortable. The room was small, but my husband & I are too, so it was fine for an overnight stay.
The included Buffet Breakfast was incredible! First it is in a beautiful room with lots of natural light. Then there is the array of food - scrambled eggs, sausages, hash brown thing (strange looking but tasty!), toast, real juice, good coffee, cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit, and some little sweets as well. Wonderful!
The front desk staff were welcoming and so pleasant as were the staff in the dining room for breakfast.
Location just off a highway exit is convenient. Moncton Zoo and Magnetic Hill are next door.
Highly recommend staying here!

Generally, I go by the motto, "If ya can't say anything good, then don't say anything at all!" Been home 2 weeks since our one night stay at Hotel Moncton in New Brunswick. When I think of the room that they put us in, I still cringe ~ so think it is only fair to give a review of warning. We asked for a change and was told there was nothing left. The room was dirty and smelt like dog, with an even stronger canine smell when we got into bed. The box spring had a 12" wide blood stain running down the side of it that was exposed when we pulled the bedding back. The wall air conditioner is right next to the head of the bed, not even a night stand on that side of the bed to break the air from blowing directly on my head. The floor needs replacing as does the couch. The one occasional chair was so wobbly, one would not want to sit on it. I used it to break the air conditioner from blowing on me. I did speak to the front desk upon check-out, received no apology except with the response, "Yes, that was the last king bed room. Did they offer you a two queen bed room?" No, they did not ~ not even when we returned to the front desk right right after check-in & had smelled the room. The attendant just said she would let the manager know. Do I need to continue??? That room should not be used by anyone!

Definitely the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We were on the ground floor and the floor above sounded like someone was moving furniture around for a couple of hours between 10-pm 12 am

When we spoke with the girl when we checked out she couldn't care less what we had to say..her stupid reply was well I'll give you $200 deposit back!!! Oh really how nice of you
Pretty sure I was getting that back...... Very unprofessional

All in all a very dissatisfied customer needless to say we will not be returning and neither will anyone we know will be booking a stay here in the future..

If only we had been treated better at check out...

We were just driving trough New Brunswick knew we would arrive late. We wanted an economical but clean hotel. The hotel’s pictures offer this, but reality does not meet it. Room smelly, windows cannot be opened and towels dirty with makeup, making the cleanliness of the sheets questionable. When the situation was brought to the front desk staff, they said it was unfortunate but nothing was done.

First off you get what you pay for If your looking for a 5 star luxury place to stay this is not for you... This hotel is a 12 min walk to the Magic Mountain activities . Our room was very clean, and it seems the bathroom has just been done over. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hot FREE breakfast is great as well. The kitchen staff and overly happy to get you whatever you need that has run out. All and all I would most definitely stay here again.
