Detailed Reviews
Our room at the Habitant Motel was attractively decorated. We were given a "suite", which was a large room containing two queen-size beds. It was clean, except for some black mold on the shower ceiling. It was quiet except for the fact that it was located next to a staircase where people seemed to like to gather to talk. We were wakened at 11 PM by some noisy visitors talking outside our room.
The razor socket in the bathroom did not work. Neither did the hair dryer. There was a fuse box located in the room, with a blown fuse for these plugs. We notified the front desk the first night. The next day the blown fuse was replaced, but it blew again as soon as my husband tried to shave. He managed to shave by plugging in the razor under the desk in the room. The top socket was usable. The bottom one was broken. We consider these electrical problems to be a safety issue.
The motel restaurant food was good. Our only complaint there was that there were several mosquitoes in the dining room each time we were there.
I didn't check before we left the hotel, but we were charged fifty cents for a phone call we didn't make.
The staff was friendly. We are not likely to be going to that area again, so I'm not sure whether we would stay there again. There isn't much choice in that area, so we probably would.
