Our stay here was made less stressful due to the kindness of the staff including breakfast server, front desk and cleaning staff. If you are looking for something close to the hospital and downtown that is comfortable and clean, this is one to try. The breakfast was great and plentiful and was nice to have such a good start to long days.

Excellent room . Very classy furniture, spacious and clean. We were able use the laundry room without great machines. The front desk had laundry detergent available for purchase. Front desk was very helpful suggesting we drive to the restaurant area which has free parking after 6pm.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean. The addition of an in-room Nespresso machine as well as the Nespresso commercial grade machine with breakfast is a very nice touch. We did not want the room serviced on day 2 and left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. There was a note left to indicate that the maid did not service because of the sign but we should feel free to call if we required any service. The lady serving breakfast is such a delight! We had a lovely stay!

The staff were very friendly and eager to help. The morning breakfast was good, and that’s where it ends. The hotel is very rundown, the rooms smell like feet and old cigarettes, the shower didn’t work and there was no hot water. I could go on but that’s probably enough to get the idea. They have a great staff but if they are goi g to be charging 440$ a night they need to up the condition of their facilities.

I booked this Sept stay in July. I liked the email reminders for my upcoming stay and the ease of online checkout. I did not know what to expect from this hotel when I booked. I was happy to be welcome by friendly, efficient staff. I liked the clean, spacious room. In newer hotels, you are usually cramped with very little room to move around. The water pressure for the showers was sufficient. Have you been to hotels where the water pressure is so low that hardly any water flows? Yes, Chateau Saint John, I can tell you have water conservation in your plumbing.
Breakfast included was welcomed. The offering was eggs, sausages, bacon, cheese, potatoes, bagels, toast, cereal, fresh whole fruits, juices and hot drinks. The staff are very friendly and want to ensure you enjoy the offerings. Thanks for the specialty coffees. I enjoyed my cappuccino. I am not big on breakfast, but enjoy good coffee.
The Chateau is central to getting around Saint John. It is a 20-min walk to downtown and the waterfront. Just be careful. I came on a Monday. Went downtown at approximately 2:30pm. The shops were closing at 3:00pm or, even just closed. I think on Monday’s most do not bother to open, since Sunday is off/closed anyways.
I recommend this Chateau Saint John. You will not be disappointed. I would stay here again.

Convenient location to explore the area. We also took a day trip to Campobello Island. Our room was very comfortable w/ fridge and microwave. This location also offers a buffet breakfast that allowed for more leisurely mornings. We look forward to returning!

We loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return and pass on our experience to others. the desk manager accommodated us by changing our room to a lower floor as my wife has a problem with elevators. The only problem was the business office computers and printers didn't work.

This is an easy on and off when traveling to St John, New Brunswick and beyond. The staff is professional and friendly (something we find in ALL of the Chateaus). There is well presented breakfast... including "take it with you boxes". AND For those with gluten and dairy intolerances... you can eat here for breakfast (not true in Chateau Moncton where ONLY packaged oatmeal was available as of our visit earlier this week- and hopefully THAT will change.)

The hotel is easy access from the hwy as well as close proximity to the Hospital. Breakfast had hot and cold options and room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful. This location is also quite close to Places to eat such as The Zesty Lemon further up somerset or Britts at the golf course. Parking on-site was easy and safe

Wonderful staff and amazing service at there hot breakfast. We had booked 2 rooms and had to bring our father to get tests done at the Regional Hospital. It was a stressful time, however the service, cleanliness and hot breakfast brought some much needed positivity to this trip.

No his hotel does not allow pets
Sorry no idea if they offer discounts regarding patients families. Did feel they were flexible, can't hurt to ask them.
We actually did this when we were there. There is a great coin operated laundry almost directly across the street from the Moosehead Brewery. It's called D M laundromat. They have a drop off service. They washed, dried and folded two large loads of laundry for us and it was like $11. It was a very good deal and only took a few hours. It's about a six minute drive from the hotel and was very easy to get to. 36 Main Street West.
This hotel is a 20 minute walk to the harbour and 15 minutes to the City Market and restaurants.
I'm not sure either. Call the hotel they are very helpful.
