We were assigned room 214, overlooks a parking garage roof top. Fairly bright room and bathroom, spacious. The bathroom could use a second light in the tub area. Toiletries are via wall dispensers. In room contains mini fridge, 2 complimentary bottles of water, coffee/tea equipment.
There are cookies placed in the lobby by about 2pm daily, when it runs out, it runs out. These don't taste freshly baked.
The hotel is part of the Inside Connection Pedway System. It means you can go from one building to another down to Market Square/New Brunswick Museum without stepping out into the street. The hotel is directly attached with Brunswick Square (mall, closed Sundays).
If you take a taxi between the airport and hotel, specify with the driver to go local, avoid the highway. Take the Loch Lomand way was what, Dallas, front desk lady told us. She was extremely helpful and nice answering all our questions. The highway takes a bit longer and costs more as it's a different fare rate for the taxi fare calculation. There is generally one or 2 cars from Diamond Taxi waiting out front or you can ask front desk to reserve a taxi for you at a specific time. The ride to the airport on a Sunday evening was about 15 minutes via local roads.
The restaurant Mix Resto Bar serves decent food.

I stayed here recently to use as a base for exploring nearby areas like St. Martins, Fundy Trail and St. Andrew's. We chose this hotel for its location, because we wanted to be able to walk to restaurants for dinners and be close to everything. We had a comfortable stay here and everything was very clean and well taken care of.
ROOM They were at capacity so they told us they only have wheelchair accessible rooms available (no bath, large shower only). It actually was perfect for us because the room was so large and spacious. We were in room 201 and there is some noise from the hallways (you are close to the elevator so can hear people walking past) and there is no view of the harbour. But the king bed was so comfy and the linens were high quality. The room is super function with tons of storage, which would be great if you are here for business or a longer stay. They still do those tiny toiletries and mini soaps - I would suggest they move to the larger dispenses as many hotels now do, to reduce plastic waste.
BREAKFAST Breakfast was included. You could do the buffet or a la carte. I like that you have the choice. The buffet includes fruit, cereal, french toast, hash browns, bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. I found the eggs were a weird, artificial texture but everything else was good. One time I did the a la carte breakfast burrito which was filling and delicious (also the hash browns were crispier than the buffet ones because they are made to order). Service in the MIX restaurant was great!
ETC. I used the pool which was not busy at all and great for swimming a few laps. There is a jacuzzi and gym area as well. But you need to shower in your room because the change room did not have soap/shampoo/conditioner. They provide towels in the gym/pool area and the pool is really shallow so good for kids too. There are some lounge chairs but not much of a view - it overlooks the parking garage lol...
Self parking is available for $16/day in a covered lot with ample parking. Or you can do valet parking for slightly more.
We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again next time visiting the area.

While this hotel was in a pretty great location and parking was free, it was an absolute MAZE trying to figure out how to actually get into the hotel and out to the parking garage.
The room itself had an INCREDIBLY strong perfume smell when we entered and we were only able to open our window a teeny bit.
They do offer ear plugs because the seagulls near by are very loud. It absolutely didn't bother me, but I suppose for some folks, it could be a bit loud!

We stayed in a room with the roll in shower. My husband uses a power wheelchair and is independent. Great design , the room is large, the bed was the right height, there is lots of counter space, lights are easily operated. The seat in the shower was next to the controls, there was lots of hooks to hang things. It was the first time I had not heard him complain about something. We have stayed in enough hotels that advertise accessibility, but seem to have added a few grab bars and done. I see a difference with Marriott hotels, they seem to have designed their rooms to be very functional for people with disabilities and took the space to make it right, rather than retrofitting an existing inadequate space. The Delta is not a new hotel, so they have gone the extra mile to renovate to do it right. ( in another hotel, we have had to to ask to put the mattress on the floor as the new high bed fashion is far too high for anyone in a chair to access). That’s the thing about properly done accessibility; we are equal to everyone else to enjoy our space and complain about noise like everyone else! We loved the location, the staff were extremely helpful and polite, and were able to take advantage of the reduced rate as we were there to attend appointments at the hospital. Would definitely stay here and other Marriott hotels when we need the consistency and peace of mind that we can manage safely.

We stayed one night and that was enough. It provided us a bed and shower. The rooms are as pictured but dated. You could feel the age of the rooms and they need upgrading. It was clean and the bed was fine it was just not a nice space. Biggest issue for us was location, there are no signs and we circled the hotel 3 times trying to figure out how to check in and then you have to leave go up a parking garage and walk forever to get to an elevator walk a lot more to room, very inconvenient with your luggage. (When you are sent your confirmation, information could be shared on how to locate the entry, etc). We wouldn’t stay again as there was no breakfast, parking is not included and there is nothing to draw you in, rooms were not luxury by any means just a room. We were disappointed as we always stay with a Marriott brand hotel and this did not meet the standards we are use to.

After a long tour bus ride, the driver somehow squeezed an oversized bus into a covered car park. The reception area is enormous, plenty of space for conference attendees and tour groups to congregate for orientation meetings. The location is perfect: a brief walk to the waterfront and the indoor City Market is accessible through a rabbit warren of corridors. Kudos to the tour guide for getting us there. Otherwise, I’d still be walking around, lost.
The mezzanine level has an indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, and essential to tour groups, laundry facilities. Unfortunately, there is only one washer and dryer. I found the room to be spacious, modern, clean and comfy. Sleep quality is excellent. Registration staff are wonderful and helpful.
Although the Delta was constructed in 1962 [when my age was 10], it was acquired by the Marriott conglomerate in 2015 and a massive expansion and upgrade was implemented. This is one of the better hotels I’ve enjoyed, and in late September, I chose the Delta Marriott in Richmond, Virginia, because of the pleasant experience I had with Delta/Saint John in June. Why look for better than the best☺

This was our first time staying at this Hotel in St John. The room was nothing special for the rate we paid. There were 3 of us booked into a room with 2 queen beds. There was only 1 regular coffee pad, 2 paper cups, 2 plastic cups and 2 water glasses. The bathroom appeared ‘tired’ and the grouting could use replacement. The pool area was littered with towels and debris from other users. The towels were impossible, they were slightly larger than a hand towel and as thin as paper. There was no attendant. Most of this was tolerable, we understand staff shortages, Covid recovery, etc. and we tried to be understanding. However, what we cannot accept was the disgusting bird droppings everywhere. The windows were streaked with excrement and there were no signs of any efforts to deter/prevent the birds from approaching the glass/building. In our room, we could close the curtains but at the pool, there was nothing to block the gross view. Our room looked into the centre of the quad, nothing to see but bird activity, that was disappointing. The hotel was not busy nor full, even a room with a view of the water would have been appreciated. Hopefully, when tourism activity picks up in June some of the issues will be addressed, especially the filthy windows. I should add that we also had to pay $17 to park overnight and there was no continental breakfast included. I don’t mind paying that price for quality, cleanliness, attention to detail and a few reasonable amenities, but at $234 for one overnight stay on this particular occasion, I was not impressed.

Thank you for staying at the Delta Saint John and for your honest feedback. We sincerely apologize for not only failing to meet your exceptions, but ours as well. We have shared your feedback with our hotel management team in an effort to improve our overall services. We are aware of the windows and have brought in a third party company to clean the windows. As we are a large property, cleaning the windows requires individuals with the special training to be able to rappel down the building. We do have our hotel team cleaning the lower windows weekly but it is a task of trying to stay ahead of the birds. The hotel has also installed a grid system that is suppose to deter seagulls from nesting on the roof, however some of seagulls that have nested here for many years are still breaking through the grid system and making their nest. This is causing issues with our hotel windows. We continue to work with our local pest control company, to try to move the birds, but as seagull are a protected seabird, we are limited to what the hotel can do. Once a seagull has nested and eggs or babies are hatched, we are not allow to enter the birds environment, which can cause delays in getting the windows cleaned. The hotel does charge a parking fee for Sunday to Thursday overnight parking and offer complimentary self parking for Friday and Saturday night. The hotel does not own or operate the parking garage. The offers a hotel pass at a discount allowing our guest to enter and exit the garage during their stay so that our guest are not required to pay each time when exiting the garage. Thank you again for your honest feedback and we hope you will stay with us again, whenever you travels bring you to Saint John.

On the tail end of a dream road trip around the Canadian maritime I was headed into Hurricane Lee and asked to add an additional night on to ride out the storm at the hotel. The staff on the phone was very helpful and reassuring. My room was very spacious and well appointed. The housekeeper very thoughtfully gave me extra supplies for the storm and checked the next day to see if I was ok and needed anything else. There were restaurants close by but I ended up eating all my meals at the hotel restaurant it was that good, They have a Scottish chef who put his touches from his homeland on the menu. I had the most delicious smoked haddock chowder. They also had local wines and beers on the beverage menu. My waitress Beverly was so efficient and friendly. Always made sure I had a table with window view where I could see the city, harbor, and the weather.

My wife and I traveled to Eastern Canada as an anniversary gift to each other. Part of our trip included a stay in St John New Brunswick. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted with the most enthusiastic and friendly reception staff explaining all the hotel amenities.
After telling them this was our first trip into New Brunswick, they immediately brought out maps to explain what places they recommended for good seafood , and what places are "we must see" for our short stay.
When finding out it was our anniversary holiday, they pointed out more places, including how to get the the Harbour Passage Trail, which we took and it turned out to be a lovely night time couple's stroll. All of them went out of their way to make sure our stay would be pleasant. They really succeeded!
The hotel itself felt outdated compared to other Marriot Hotels we've stayed in. It was disappointing to see stained "white sealant" along our bathtub edge, making it feel somewhat old and unsanitary. One stairwell was very dirty.
The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable and both nights we had great sleeps.
I was going to call the front desk for some information, but noticed our phone did not have a cord attached between the ear/mouthpiece and the phone box. We are not sure if this is something that was taken and not noticed by the hotel staff, or if the phones in the rooms have become obsolete.
The hotel had a great pool and workout area, which we took advantage of. The pool area has large windows which gave a nice view to the outside, but my eyes kept looking at a broken bottle, with jagged edges sitting on the rooftop outside the window, again adding to the feeling more care could be taken to make the place look tidier.
The location of the Delta Hotel is perfect for sightseeing downtown, and walking to the lookout point for the "Reversing Falls"
Breakfast at the MIXResto Bar was great! The buffet is a good breakfast choice , but the prepared breakfast menu was even much tastier.
We would return to this hotel on our next visit and do recommend it for travelers who want to enjoy the downtown vibes of St John.
Thank you Delta Hotel St John. You have a wonderful staff!

I had low expectations of this hotel and was very pleasantly surprised. Firstly the staff are really lovely especially Nancy in the MIX restaurant where she served breakfast with a smile on both days we were there. The room we had on the third floor was extremely spacious, with a huge king size bed, a desk, arm chair, large fridge and coffee machine. The bathroom was an average size, with an over the bath shower which is not my favourite, but it was clean and did the job. Toiletries were provided, we did have to request shower gel, which was brought up to the room promptly after requesting on the Bonvoy app. All in all a nice hotel with great friendly and personable staff.

Brad: I live near Orlando, Florida and don't work for Delta/Marriott and have no idea what are the costs of rooms with special amenities. Someone for the hotel can be reached by phone or email/website. You should enjoy your visit, but I've never been in Canada during December... Can't take the cold☺
Hi Sandy,
Sorry for the delay. Room 300 is an outside room overlooking over valet entrance and neighbouring office tower. You can see the harbour on an angle as well. I hope this answered your question. Please do not hesitate to contact myself or the hotel directly for further assistance.
