Stayed one night in the spacious and comfortable king room which was tastefully decorated to reflect the houses heritage. The large king bed was extremely comfortable. Loved the luxurious bamboo sheets and fluffy towels and robe.

Good wifi

There is onsite parking, a guest laundry, sitting area you can use after check out and they will cloak your luggage.

Breakfast was a set menu, consisting of perculated coffee, bran home made muffins, scrambled egg, fruit and juice.

You are sharing the house with the owners which means the guest room and lounge area are also used by them
Early in the morning we were woken by the seagullls on the roof next door, noisy breakfast guests and light streaming into our room ( no block out curtains )
This property only accepts cash

We loved our stay with Carl and Jim, who welcomed us to their home, centrally located walking distance to the market and waterfront. Our room was beautifully appointed with antiques in keeping with the sympathetic renovations which have been carried out throughout this home. The ensuite bathroom was small but perfectly adequate. Breakfast in the dining room was cooked to order by Carl, and included eggs and ham, homemade muffins and jams, juices and coffee. But the highlight was the morning's conversation over breakfast with Carl, Jim and the other guests. Offstreet parking was a bonus.

Over the years my wife and I have traveled extensively. We’ve stayed in many hotels and resorts but honestly, few compare with the experience we had at Mahogany Manor. Firstly, it’s a lovely property that is central to everything. The rooms are comfortably appointed and the breakfast was beyond excellent! What makes Mahogany Manor such a special experience are the two hosts. Jim and Carl could not have been more attentive, welcoming, and kind. We were celebrating an anniversary and a birthday and our hosts went out of their way to make recommendations on where to walk and what restaurants to consider. The building and the gardens were beautiful, but what truly makes this B & B a destination not to be missed, are the owners. If you’re in Saint John don’t make the mistake of checking in to a regular hotel, instead, check out Mahogany Manor … it’s an experience not to be missed. We’ll be back!

Loved this Bed & Breakfast!! Jim & Carl are wonderful hosts and we felt very welcome in their lovely Inn. They gave us lots of information on what to see and where to eat. Our room was very nice, clean, & comfortable. We even had a view of the water! The location is perfect to walk everywhere. They even fixed a wonderful breakfast for us early in the morning so we could catch the ferry. We really appreciated that gesture!

This B&B is one of the best kept secrets in Saintjohn. It has parking, a ramp and a shower stool for those of us with mobility issues. Shower stools are rare even in the most expensive hotels but yes Mahogany Manor has one!!! Kudos to Karl and Jim.

Our first time in Saint John, and we picked the right place! Hosts are wonderful and welcoming. We only stayed one night, but we'd happily return anytime. Location is really central and Carl and Jim are super knowledgeable about the city and the local hot spots. Room was large and comfortable. We had baby seagulls on the roof of the house (?) next door that we could watch from our window (fun but noisy sometimes).

Carl and Jim are excellent hosts! We stayed 2 nights with friends for an annual get together. We enjoyed a relaxed visit in a beautiful Inn close to everything in Saint John NB. The breakfasts were delicious and our room was so quiet! It was a truly beautiful experience. We met couples from Germany and Victoria, BC. The conversations were so lively! Loved everything about our experience.

This was by far the worst place I've ever stayed at. From the very beginning the owner Carl was rude and not helpful. Our room was dirty and after we pointed it out, nothing was done. The whole place is old and rundown. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy stay here. This place is trash. Look elsewhere.

We stayed one night in Saint John at Mahogany Manor. The hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and a lot of fun to talk to. Breakfast was fresh and very good. Well situated in the historic part of the city. Just be warned about the seagulls in the morning. They can be noisy.
