The house itself is lovely and appears to be clean and tidy. We were disappointed with the attitude and hospitality of the owners. Both owners were in a hurry to get us out of the bar area where we were having dinner. We were the only guests in the dining area and we felt we were keeping the owners from closing. It was only 7:30pm. They rushed us through dinner. We had to ask for salt and pepper, glass of water and butter. I asked for dessert and was told the kitchen was closed. Owners appear to be overworked and tired. No one is there in the morning. Breakfast is left in the fridge if you request it, with an additional charge.. The food was good but quantity small and expensive.

Charming Inn. Great woodworking throughout the place. Comfortable room and bed. We booked dinner at the Inn and were happy with our choice. Had escargot for appetizer and prime rib for dinner. I would recommend it. My wife has a salad for appetizer and fish for dinner.

Was really excited to go and was really disappointed. Started with a bad glass at wine that had turned. They were apologetic and replaced it. Then we had mussels. Everyone knows that every once and a while you get a bad one (although never happened in any of the other Canadian restaurants on our trip). There were way more than a handful of bad mussels. After sending back the wine, was nervous to also send back the mussels. Also the mussels didn’t come with bread. If you wanted any bread you had to pay $5 extra for 1/2 baguette. Then they did an wedge salad that was supposed to have a Boursin ranch dressing. It came with 3 chunks of cheese, no dressing. I asked for dressing and they told me that’s how they do it. I explained it was dry and not properly dressed and they brought me Caesar dressing. Not great. My husband liked the surf and turf, and the vegetables were really good. Very inconsistent meal and a bit pricey for the quality.

We visited Tait House twice during our honeymoon and they did not disappoint. From Lisa, the phenomenal Chef Gilles, to Manager Jessie and Natasha, the service was top notch!!! I strongly recommend you to go. The rooms were top quality and the food was sumptuous.

If you're staying in Shediac this is a decent choice. Breakfast wasn't included, it was about $5 per person for a continental breakfast. It's close to Jack's pizza among other things which is convenient.
