Host could clue in to french name of reservation ( and regular client). table of 5 placed in small room where live entertainer using PA system was way too loud for venue space ( he could have done well acoustic only). Food and service was decent. They did change our table between courses. Had more of a live tavern feel rather than a quiet place to have conversation with friends.

Rose and I booked Maison Tait House for a one night getaway dinner and they informed her that they had a dinner and stay package. The room was very nice, comfortable bed and lots of room. Dinner was fantastic and we also had a great waiter " Matt ". To top it off they had live music which was a real treat. We will definitely go back.

As I don’t get to the East coast of Canada very often, I decided to extend my business trip for a couple days. My client suggested Shediac and Tait Maison boutique hotel. I was not disappointed!! Despite being a couple weeks early, meaning before most tourism things open, everything was great. My room had a fabulous soaker tub and very comfortable bed where I slept well. The restaurant food was good for dinner, but note that in May no breakfast was served. They did recommend a great locals place that was good. I really wanted a lobster for dinner and even though it was not on their menu at this time, they brought one in fresh for me and the cook came out and showed me how to crack it open to eat it!! Such great service!! Also the live music on Thursday nigh was a nice touch.

My wife and I went to the restaurant January 12 and were pleasantly surprise with the service we receive, the atmosphere and needless to say how good everything tasted. Complements to the chefs for absolutely delicious dishes. Also need to mention that prices were very reasonable.

We stayed June 27-July 4. We loved it there. The owner,Julie was fantastic and Billy attended to our every need. Food was excellent. July 1 they had a concert in the beer garden featuring a Tragically Hip cover band called Bobcaygeon which we thoroughly enjoyed. My wife and I highly recommend the Tait house.

The food at the restaurant is very good. The service at the restaurant is excellent. The mixologist at the bar was impressive. The cocktails were the best.
We had a wonderful experience. On the accommodation side, front desk was only there from 9 to 9. Live music would of been an added value. A few chairs in the rooms would also be an added comfort.
I was informed that management is changing and we hope that the essence of this beautiful place will stay the same. The price of accommodation is reasonable. I looked to book for 2025 and the prices seemed to have tripled. I hope it’s not the cost of the new management company.
This is a gem in Shediac!
Ce fut une très belle expérience!

Old family home turned into a B&B and restaurant. The rooms are lovely! The food was very nice with a good variety in the menu. Excellent service. They have stay and dine package deals as well. Downtown Shediac, within walking distance to the main part of town or to the Bay park with the famous giant lobster statue.

The price was not the same has my reservation in july, but they change it, no problem.Very disapoiting on the cleaness of the room. The bed did not look clean , especialy the pillows. They had a bad smell.People were very loud until pass midnight on the first floor. The stairway going on the second floor was dirty. They should take off the carpet in the stair, not too clean. It really needs a lot of TLC, because it was years ago very beautiful and clean. We want be going there in the future. Also the outside does' not gave you a good impression .Beer cans on the ground and paper, the stairs could have been cleaner. It does not take very long to pick up and clean more. It's a shame to let a beautiful house like that go to wasted. There is a lack of management.

Think twice about booking at the Tait!! In January, I had booked ALL rooms of the B&B for my in-laws flying in from the UK for my August wedding. Despite the deposit being paid, the staff - unapologetically - cancelled the booking as a fait accompli upon news that they could make more money with another wedding. Now, with only a few months to go, I am left scrambling through the area to find suitable accommodation. The Tait, as a business, has proven to be morally questionable at best! I advise you to go somewhere where your reservation will be honoured.

This is a beautiful building with a mansger/owner doing her worst to make it an exceptional B&B. The room was average (smallish and therefore sparsely furnished), shower packed up working during morning shower (ran out of water) but otherwise passable. The manager/owner though had to be seen to be believed. She was definitely not enjoying her job. She didn't smile once during our stay. She didn't make us feel welcome at all - everything and everyone seemed to be a massive inconvenience to her. Breakfast was again ok - nothing special but passable. Glad we were there only for one night.
