The children, and I mean children, that come and “clean” the bathrooms, spend more time filling out this form that they do cleaning. I’ve witnessed it. So disgusting

This is the most Central Park in St. John’s to see everything here. The park is very well kept park but not very satellite friendly. Luckily we had star link to fall back on. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this park. Friendly staff helps a lot too. Well worth the stay.

Nice campground with mostly level sites. Gravel and grass. Several pull through to accommodate big rigs. Full hook ups. 50/30 amp, sewer and water. There were restrooms but we did not use them. Also general store at campground entrance. Staff prompt to address any concerns/needs. Great location to Saint John’s and surrounding communities. Lots to see and do in the area. Would recommend this campground and we would use again when in the area. We were traveling with a camping club caravan.

We had a really nice site on loop 1 site 8. It was trees and felt quite private. It is as very close to the bathrooms/showers. I did not use the showers much, they certainly could do with an upgrade as they are quite old as is the laundromat. I liked that every site had their own garbage and it was picked up regularly.

Nothing has improved in regards to the washroom and shower facilities from 3 years ago. I used the same shower for the time I was there, and the same dead bugs were still on the walls! The shower walls had mold and mildew on them, the water was tepid, not warm, as the hot water tank was rusted and leaking. Staff were more interested in making sure the counter, sinks and mirros were clean, just not the rest. There was a water bottle in the wheelchair washroom stall for almost 2 days before it was removed, so it tells you how often this stall was cleaned!
Some campsites are better than others and had more trees between it and the next site. The sites provided hydro, water and sewer, which was great.
The facilities need to be rebuilt, not renovated! The facilities were poor, but Pippy is convenient for getting around St. John's.

This campground is very conveniently located to the only big city in NF, St John’s. As a result, it is very very loud. I repeat, very loud. Airplanes taking off, mostly in the evening, sirens from the hospital that’s 0.3K away, the main park nearby has concerts till 11pm and the giant murder of crows that caw at 4am everyday! So lovely. And if that isn’t enough to entice you, you have the dirtiest bathrooms this side of a 3day music festival. Poop in toilets for days, mold in ALL the showers, broken glass and bottles on the campsite, just swept into the woods. This is one of the worst campgrounds I’ve ever stayed in. Just be aware of these things as you WILL encounter them. Happy camping

First off I am not a complainer...always trying to see the positive in a situation but seriously this place could do a lot more to make their guests feel more properly cared for. First disappointment was they charge $10 for a fire pit??? Seriously? I have never been to a campsite that doesn’t have a fire pit included on the site. Charging $13 for wood? Ok we can deal with that even tho kinda pricey. The next disappointment was trying to find the woman’s washroom in loop 1 (where we were staying) the women’s sign had apparently fallen off and no one thought to put it back?? Or at least get a sharpy and draw on a W??? Walked around the building a couple times before figuring it out. Next frustration was one of the showers isn’t working so after getting undressed and hoping to hop in, nothing...arg! Get dressed again and then move to the next shower over :( How hard would it be to put an out of order sign on that stall??? Plus the showers were not clean. Next disappointment, our power kept cutting out...I mean 5 times!! We only had a fridge and heater plugged in the double outlet so it shouldn’t have kept tripping the breaker. So here we are freezing cold in the rain and our heater stops working, call down and we only wait 2 hours before someone comes to flip the breaker!! Seriously?? So they offer us a complimentary fire pit...kinda nice except when it’s delivered there’s no wood...come on...thanks for nothing! Not impressed with this place at all. The only up side is it’s location. Easy to access everything you want to see in St. John’s.

Sites were relatively level and the private ones were nice. Food and burnt timber scraps on the site. The bathrooms were grubby..hair, soap...not just a couple of days worth either. Wi-Fi none existent .
Overall NL campgrounds really need to be under TOURISM and clean up their game. Pretty disappointed in parks. However, the people, food and countryside...amazing!!!

Incredible park located in the heart of St Johns but you feel like you are in the middle of a forest. Clean and friendly people. Every city in Canada should offer a park like this. Well done St Johns!

A quiet place close to downtown St John's. There is beautiful river trail leading to the town from the campground. The campground itself is huge. Each circle has a bathhouse with 3 showers and two toilets. That seems not a lot considering how many sites there are and that our loop was also next to the field for tents. During off season no problem, but during the summer season.... The bathrooms could use some TLC...lots of mold in the showers and not very clean. The laundry was great, though. Not cheap, but very good machines.
Very friendly staff.

Spent the May 2-4 weekend here with family and friends. The park was full, but we were able to camp in the fully serviced overflow area. Wh re the wooded area has a natural wind break, the overflow is open to the wind and cold. One benefit however is that the camper spots are drive through, which is super easy for setting up the camper. It would have been better if there was a convenience centre close by, with showers, as trying to shower in a camper is challenging! But the water pressure was awesome (better than the other spots in the park). This park and campground is truly a hidden gem in the middle of the city, geared for families. There were kids everywhere, and the park is clean, quiet and safe. Not my first time staying here, and definitely not my last!

Room Tip: Wooded areas more private and sheltered, overflow easier to get into and better amenities.
