Hotel's Favourite
Staff was exceedingly helpful and courteous. The hotel is well kept and clean, feels new! they have a 24 hour shuttle to the airport which was wonderful as my flight was at 5am and it is about a 5 minute drive. The restaurant staff was very accommodating with menu items as my sister is a vegetarian. The restaurant food for dinner was actually quite good. Reasonably priced.

3 night stay. As most hotel staff no longer enter rooms during stay I had to order fresh towelsand face cloths. Also coffee. Had to order twice in 5 hours. Delivered decaf and no sugar etc. Should be a way for staff to leave coffee etc when multiple nights are booked . Perhaps a small container outside or a handle note similar to the do not disturb signs. Other than that everything wasgood. Beds comfy. AC quiet and a good breakfast service at breakfast bar was excellent. All staff friendly

I'm a very seasoned traveller. I've stayed at 5 star hotels in 8 different countries and my wife has a degree in hotel management. We have both travelled extensively in SE Asia and have visited hundreds of hotels.
Myself, I've stayed in hotels in almost every province in Canada and at least 20 states in the US.
This hotel is on the pricey side, but I've stayed at many other hotels that cost as much or more that aren't near on par with the quality of this hotel.
Its a new hotel. Spotless.
The rooms are fitted with modern amenities and a large rain shower. The linen was spotless. The beds are comfortable.
The bar area is well appointed.
The in house restaurant is excellent. As a foodie I was surprised at the quality.
On top of this is the staff. Excellent. After a stay of a few days and spending a few hours at the bar speaking with the staff, several of them came to the checkout desk when I was leaving to wish me a safe trip.
That's the best level of service I've received in North America and I have stayed in well over 100 hotels.
The level of service is comparable to some of the 5 star resorts we stayed at in Thailand and Vietnam.

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport and very quiet- we could not hear any air traffic. The service is excellent, our room was comfortable and had all necessary amenities. Close to downtown St. John’s, we had a very short drive to all of the locations we wished to visit. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting St. John’s for any reason.

The hotel is what you expect for this price point. It is clean. Rooms are of average size. We had a king with kitchen. Kitchen is equipped with fridge & micro, some dishes. A very small cutlery assortment and I didn't see glassware. Best to bring your own (others might know this ... I didn't, expected a stocked kitchen). Found the front staff really varied from "doing my job" to friendly and responsive (evening staff, shuttle driver). We had some delays at check-in and it wasn't handled in the best way. As well, you have to request cleaning and re-stocking with 24 hour notice which wasn't indicated anywhere. We stayed 7 days and it surprised me that I had to ask. It also wasn't completed properly after request.
They seem to be a little overwhelmed with the booking vs staffing ratio, which is understandable but in my experience it's not IF you have issues (no one can be perfect), but how you handle them that stands out.
Finally, this may be obvious to others but airport location in St. John's is absolutely not convenient unless you have a car. We were car-less for the first 3 days. Cabs are hard to come by (there is a shortage of drivers right now) and very expensive. A 15 minute drive to downtown is $35 so it can really add up. We chose the hotel based on price + location but didn't realize that "convenient location" = having a car. Our mistake but just putting it out there.

Beautiful hotel, room are clean and very comfortable. Staff efficient and friendly. Set up is very good for current COVID situation, hand sanitizer readily available. Breakfast was good, and the convenience of the shuttle is great.

This is an awesome hotel. Parking is cheap when you stay one night and the shuttle gets you to and from the airport in no time. The rooms are big, clean and very well appointed. Staff is friendly and super helpful! A huge free breakfast comes with the room, and the food in the restaurant is excellent as well. I stay here every time I travel.

This hotel clearly states in its description of their accessible rooms that they showers have roll in access. I was also told this on booking. However on arrival we were met with a shower that had about a 6 inch step to enter the shower. This hotel is not wheel chair friendly.

Everything about this experience has been frustrating and we’ve only been here a couple hours.
First, check in was unnecessarily hard, had called to book and specifically requested that my partner be put on the room authorization and be allowed to check in as she was arriving with the children earlier than I. Assured that won’t be a problem. Except she arrived and was denied access, and had to make several phone calls and get a manager involved and with two little kids having to wait in the lobby, while their booked swim time came and went, they were upset. This took nearly 40 mins to resolve before they were allowed to check into the rooms. The front desk staff were not very kind or understanding at all about the whole thing until a manager got involved.
Then after a changed swim time, everyone is in the room and the tv remote does not work for the tv. We brought Nintendo switch for the kids and had planned to watch movies on Netflix as the tvs in the room are advertised as “smart tv”s. Well, they are not really.
Although a lovely gentleman came and helped us get a new remote and access the HDMI source (the new blue remote in the room did not allow for source change) so we were able to connect the switch, there are no smart apps on the tv at all. Instead you can use screen mirroring. Okay, fine, all good except that doesn’t work either. I have a new iPhone that could not screen mirror and connect, we tried an iPad as well and that could not connect. Talked to the gentleman and he apologized and said we would have to purchase an app to be able to screen mirror and access Netflix. He couldn’t even guarantee that, that would. agreed that it was very frustrating.
I have to say we’re super disappointed, this used to be our favourite hotel to have a family treat night out but this hasn’t been a good experience so far at all.
In 2022, at nearly $200 a night, you would imagine and expect it would be easy to at least watch Netflix in a hotel without having to purchase an app to do so.

I have a great time staying. For 1 month and 5 days in the hotel and it's pandemic situation. They manage to facilitate the protocol of social distancing to avoid contamination. Staff are will accommodating and friendly. If you have some questions regarding to the city and events of the town. They gave you a good advice to enjoy your stay.
