Few words other than perfect can describe our stay At Wits Inn, in St John’s NL. When you walk in to this beautiful Queen Anne home, it is as though you have been swept back in time. The house has been restored immaculately. A feeling of warmth and coziness envelopes you as soon as you walk in. Our host, communicated wonderfully prior to our stay and greeted us upon arrival. We were handed a parking permit for our vehicle and shown the common areas of the house. We were then brought up to our room, which was beautiful and had everything we needed. Our host made sure we were settled in and gave us his cell number in case we needed anything. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep! The highlight for us was breakfast! Hard boiled eggs, cooked to perfection,

The room was absolutely lovely, with that classic Victorian feel mixed with modern comforts. The inn's location is excellent, just a stones throw from the downtown shopping district. James the proprietor made me feel like I was staying with family and was happy to look after all of my needs. 10/10 will definitely stay again!

Lovely and comfortable bed and breakfast in downtown St. John's. Easy walk to restaurants, The Rooms, even Signal Hill. Host James makes you feel entirely at home. Breakfast is hearty and plentiful. I stayed for a week on business, but would gladly return for a vacation.

Andrew & Paula Butler We stayed At Wit’s Inn for a relaxing weekend getaway in our own hometown city of St. John’s. We had a wonderful experience. The home is so beautiful and very well kept, a very peaceful place to stay. The room was very comfortable and we didn’t want for anything. The breakfasts were lovely and very satisfying, everything was layed out perfectly. James, our host was awesome, very friendly and he couldn’t do enough for us. We can’t wait to book our next visit!!

This was a first visit to Newfoundland for the three of us and we could not have had a better starting point than At Wit's Inn. We stayed for three nights and would have happily stayed longer. James' breakfasts were delicious and so satisfying that we needed little for lunch! (I still want the recipe for his peanut butter bars.) James' mother Janet serves and gave us great advice to make sure that we made best use of our days. Coming back to the house after a long day of hiking we took advantage of the beautiful living area -- made ourselves pots of tea and curled up in the comfortable furniture to relax a bit before heading out for dinner. We were glad to be given a parking pass and to find a spot right outside the door, because except for Cape Spear, we walked everywhere we
