I doubt you can have a better B&B experience in North America. The home is a very well maintained antique (ca. 1880) on a main residential street in downtown St. John's. Our hosts could not have been more gracious or accommodating. Our room was large, and comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent (and there was a lot to them). The sitting and dining areas are spacious and very attractively decorated. A parking pass was provided to enable free street parking; we never had a problem finding a space nearby. We had a very very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful old row house that has been refurbished with all the amenities. We arrived early and were very tired. Even though our rooms were not ready we were welcome to stay in the beautiful living area and offered beverages. We were treated to gourmet type breakfasts by friendly, knowledgeable hosts. Snacks and coffee and tea were always available. We had to leave very early to catch our plane, so told James we would not be there for breakfast. He prepared a bag breakfast for us to take with us. Something we did not expect, but greatly appreciated.

We stayed three nights at the At Wit's Inn, St John's, Newfoundland and will remember our stay for many years to come. The BandB is a beautifully kept historic building and the area for guests is very comfortable. Guests have a large sitting room (with books on the bookshelves to browse, or read if you wish), a dining room and the pantry where tea and coffee and snacks are always available. Our room on the first floor was beautiful and really comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom was huge with everything spotless. Breakfast was different each morning with a variety of cereals, fruits, juice, and additional home baked goodies such as muffins, and also a main course hot dish. Everything was delicious. The BandB was handy for walking and exploring St Johns.

At the end of a two week driving tour of Newfoundland, we spent our final two days in St. John's At Wit's Inn. It was wonderful closure to a fantastic trip. The home is beautifully appointed. Each bedroom has an ensuite. Guests are welcome to lounge in the living room, or make a tea in the stocked pantry. Breakfasts were a treat. Janet's pancakes are fantastic! A lovely setting. Close to the water, Bannerman Park, The Rooms & downtown shopping.

My husband and I spent two nights at this B & B. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. There is a little pantry where you can use the fridge, coffee pot, kettle and microwave. There is coffee, tea, cookies, and popcorn available for guests. The living area has lots of books to peruse and a comfortable seating area. Our bedroom was spacious and quiet. The location is very handy to hiking up to Signal Hill and not too far from downtown. A parking pass is included with the room and we never had trouble finding a nearby space. James was very friendly, nice to talk to, and made fabulous breakfasts. All around, a great stay!
