My husband and were absolutely blown away by our recent stay at the Postmaster's House B&B. We booked Princess Mary room, and as soon as we made the reservation, we knew this experience would be amazing.

It started with a lovely email response from the hosts, saying that they were delighted to welcome us and providing a list of all little extras you can prepare yourself for when staying at Postmaster's, including access to a kitchenette with gourmet coffee, teas, fruit and the best thing in life....fresh pastries from their bakery. We were encouraged to make ourselves at home in the living room and on the terrace.

The outside of the B&B is just beautiful and we were really excited to get inside....we were not disappointed.

The owners have tastefully decorated the entire space to make it an an absolute oasis. The living room boasts gorgeous plants, lovely artwork, comfy couches and just made for a calm and serene place to enjoy a glass of wine before supper.

Our room was positively perfect with the commfiest of beds, luxury stylish bed linens and towels, a clawfoot tub, a lovely tray of glassware and accessories to use during our stay and we were so happy with the locally crafted shower wash and soaps. We literally did not want for anything!

To be able to select a homemade pastry, make a gourmet coffee for ourselves and enjoy both in the rocking patio chairs made our morning.

As did the delicious breakfast, prepared for us by Eileen, starting with the most amazing bowl of yogurt and berries, finished off with a hot breakfast made to order (poached eggs were the BOMB).

We cannot wait to return. Thank you for your second to none hospitality. :)

Lovingly restored Postmasters B&B gave us pleasent 14 Days with comfortable bed, Tv, bath with shower, towels and bath robe. The breakfast is a perfect start of each day. Downtown and Harbour are only minutes away. The fridge in the guest kitchen where perfect for cool drinks to sit on the terrace. All guest rooms are designed differently, i love ‚my‘ Nr. 4. With the good ‚ghost‘ Eileen the Owner Mark and Eldon have done a good grip. Extraordinary!

A comfortable home away from home. We could not be happier. The location was ideal - we walked downtown every evening for supper enjoying the atmosphere and ambiance. The host was personable and helpful providing us with a hot breakfast of choice daily and doing a quick turnover of our rooms. I personally enjoyed the small kitchen upstairs and deck overlooking the backyard.

Loved everything! Mark and Eldon have created a very special house of hospitality, a welcome blend of old Newfoundland friendliness and new Newfoundland trendiness. This is a place of aesthetic beauty, individuality, We were in two different rooms on two occasions and they were both gorgeous. We appreciated the sheets, the towels and the sparkling contemporary bathrooms The clean well stocked guest kitchen is supplied with high quality fresh baked goods from the sister business Postmaster's Bakery, the customized breakfasts are served with finesse and flair by Eileen. Mark bends over backwards to respond to requests such as a blanket for this duvet averse guest:) .

Lovely, restored historic home welcoming visitors with a meticulous attention to detail right down to the postage stamps for room numbers (we were in Room 2, the King George 2 cent stamp - how clever!). The location was perfect, close to everything. The baked goods and breakfast were scrumptious. Loved that all the guests sat around the table for breakfast to meet and swap stories - what a wonderful idea! We had a marvelous experience!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Post Master's House B&B this weekend. Mike met us to show us around and we were comfortable immediately. Check-in was a breeze. The house is beautiful, and there was so much thought and careful detail put into every aspect of our stay. Our bed was super comfortable and room was stunningly appointed with everything you could need. Make sure you grab the pastries in the kitchenette before they're gone! Each morning Eileen cooks breakfasts that are to die for and carefully keeps all dietary requirements in mind! Location is perfect for exploring downtown St. John's on foot. We even went to find the local shop (tval) to buy our own hand bottle of the soap. 10/10 would recommend! Thank - you!

We loved our stay at the Postmaster’s House. Mark & Eldon have done a beautiful job renovating and decorating this amazing Jelly Bean Home. Our room (#5) was tastefully decorated with a super comfortable bed, large modern ensuite with a claw tub. Eileen prepared and served delicious breakfasts and was delightful to visit with. The guest kitchen area was stocked with various coffees, teas, fruits and pastries throughout the day. We highly recommend the Postmaster’s House.

The Postmaster's House is a beautifully restored home with easy access to much of St. John's. Everything about our weeklong stay was wonderful. Eileen, Eldon and Mark did everything to make our stay special. Our room was very clean and well appointed (Queen Elizabeth). The soaps, shampoo, and moisturizer are currently on order because we liked them so much. The breakfasts were delicious along with the yummy treats that appear each afternoon. We so enjoyed the breakfast conversations with people we met from around Canada. We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else!

The Postmaster's House is in a great location with many parts of the city reachable by a pleasant walk. The room was very comfortable, the staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. Since the owners also run a bakery, they supply a small guest kitchen with scones , muffins and other treats that can be enjoyed with coffee or tea. After a hearty breakfast, that suffices for lunch. The keyless room and house entry works beautifully and means you don't have to carry a large key or risk losing a small one. At the their bakery, just a few blocks from the Bed and Breakfast, you can get wonderful picnic material and St. John's and area are rich in PPPs (possible picnic places). I will not look elsewhere on my next trip to St. John's.

Excellent accommodations. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to St Johns.

The house has been beautifully restored and is in an area with lots of character. Those guests who are in good shape can walk downtown and back.

Breakfast was a time when guests would socialize with people around the world. Eileen would cook an excellent breakfast with something for everyone’s taste. Special thanks to Eileen for her hospitality.

St Johns has something for everyone. Beautiful museums like the Geo Centre and The Rooms, George St. Pubs, entertainment, and lovely towns close by, such as Petty Harbour and quaint Quidi Vidi.

We have learned that pleasant accommodations have a big impact on our travelling experiences and the Postmaster’s House really fit the bill.
