Had the pleasure of staying at the Murray Premises last night. The location is perfect, close walking distance to a number of restaurants, convenience store, entertainment. Rates were reasonable, hotel itself is very clean, staff were friendly, room was amazing. Old St John's lives strong here, would definitely recommend staying here.

Hotel's Favourite
The room was exceptional. We had an eclectic fireplace, jacuzzi, mini-fridge etc. Check-in and out were really smooth. There is a lounge off the lobby with fruit, cookies, coffee & tea, newspapers etc, Also there is a business centre nearby. The next-morning continental buffet is a real treat. And the added bonus is free parking. A historic property which offers a real feel of old St. John's.

We stayed in the Executive King room at the Murray Premises Hotel on Dec 18th & 19th for our wedding at the Gypsy Tea Room on the 19th. Allie, the Sales Manager, was a great help answering our questions and giving us information ahead of the big day. The Gypsy Tea Room restaurant is actually connected to the Murray Premises Hotel, which is a bonus in the winter and was extremely convenient for us and our wedding guests. The rooms are beautiful, we loved the air massage tub and the shower as well (and the towel warmers!). When booking, be sure to mention any accessibility issues, which they can accommodate but should be mentioned in advance as the elevator does not go to the 4th floor. Some rooms have additional accessibility features as well. We forgot to do this, but they fortunately were able to accommodate the changes for us. They also have meeting and event rooms and allowed us to use one for our family photos. Overall, a beautiful hotel and wonderful experience! Thank you to Allie and the whole team!

I hate leaving a poor review because this hotel has a great Location, very clean with good friendly staff and ok rooms. We stayed here for 1 night and did not sleep a wink. We could hear music, people talking, tvs, in other rooms, sound from foot steps from above etc I guess where the building is so old the sound travels easily or something. I wont be staying here again.

Hello, thank you for letting us know about your experience at our property! I am sorry to hear that your sleep was impacted the night of your stay. That is not the experience we want our guests to have when staying with us, I can understand you being disappointed with your stay. Sound can vary depending on who we have in house that night, or events going on in the area. Our front desk is staffed 24 hours, so if there is excessive sound/noise coming from other guests we are happy to assist the impacted room by reminding noisy guests of our noise policy (quiet after 11pm) or, if needed, moving a guest to a more comfortable room during their stay. If you do decide to stay again, please let the front desk staff know about your previous experience and we will ensure you are placed in a comfortable and quiet area of the hotel. Thank you again for letting us know about your experience, I hope you are staying safe and healthy!

We enjoyed a comfortable stay at this hotel. We were pleased with the location, the bed was comfortable and the property was very clean. It’s a tad outdated in its decor and could use an inexpensive face lift by just changing up the shower curtain and coverlet on the end of the bed with something neutral. It would also brighten up the room . We loved that it had Alexa in the room to help access the news, weather and local information. Loved the towel heater!
