Loved the location being so close to downtown. The room and bed were very comfortable. We enjoyed the view from balcony. Breakfast was delicious. The house has so much character and the pictures on the wall added charm and warmth. We will be back!!!

If the exterior impresses you, the interior is sure to amaze. This is an historic townhouse that has been beautifully restored. The room was enormous and the bed very comfortable. There was some street noise, but considering it is on a busy street, you have to expect some noise through the antique bay windows. After dark, the street became much... More

The Roses is a great spot to stay when in St. John's. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast girls are awesome! The only negative thing I have to say is the room we were in was on the second floor and faced Military Rd. The bus stopped right under our window which was noisy and disrupted our... More

Hello, Thank you for your kind words. We really appreciate the feedback. Over the years most people do not mind the front on the second or upper floors as with the elevation it's about 18 feet up. Whenever we stay in downtown locations across Canada we find it less noisy overall than other downtown locations even many floors up, but... More

Beautiful, immaculate, comfortable, homey, quiet, spacious, well kept, well appointed, friendly staff, gorgeous views, delicious breakfast, centrally located, historic, economical....is there anything that I missed? Don't think so. This lovely B&B has it all! Truly enjoyed our quick trip to the Rock and our 2 night stay at the Roses. Couldn't have been better! The Roses accommodated every need including... This Bed and Breakfast is within walking distance of the old downtown harbour district. It has beautiful rooms and the breakfasts are so delicious. Karen and the other staff are very welcoming. It is an old building so you have to love and appreciate this vs modern and new.

We stayed here for a few nights in mid September and found the room very comfortable. The location is walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. The house and rooms have a lot of character, which is what we expected. Unlike a typical B&B where the home owners are there to greet you and provide suggestions and recommendations, you... More

This is a great place to stay and in a good location. Close to all the historic sights. The house is old and quirky so if you like modern and sleek don't come here. We had a suite in the basement. Big window in the sitting room. Could have used more lighting but other than that it was great. Good... More

This is an excellent B&B in St. John's just a couple of blocks from the major streets and historical areas. The hostesses are welcoming and friendly and the rooms include antiques and interesting items. The property is centrally located although on street parking can be hard to find so take advantage of the church parking directly across- $5 is a... More

We arrived in the wee hours and check-in was a breeze. We were emailed the door code and found our keys waiting for us in the lobby. Breakfast on the top floor was tasty and we enjoyed the nice views from the balcony. We were traveling with our baby and the pack n play was set up and waiting for... More

We spent three nights here while travelling with friends and found this B&B suited our needs quite well. The property consists of two adjoined houses. Both couples stayed in #11, with one couple having the Admirals Cove room on the main floor, which features an adjoining private sitting room. This was great for getting together for a glass of wine... More
