Staff are absolutely terrible. If you can even find them. Housecleaning comes once a week, you are on your own to get towels if you run out. Room was very dirty, dust everywhere. My biggest complaint is the noise though. The doors have about a 2 inch gap underneath that lets in noise from the hallway, they are also very... More

Poor service all the way around! go elsewhere! The office closed at 6pm everyday so if something goes wrong you are on your own. I would recommend spending a few extra bucks for any other hotel. On the upside, there was free wi-fi and location is alright walking distance to downtown and old town.

Terrible experience...Showed up and was told there were no rooms available and we had booked online and had an email from the woman of confirmation 3 months before arrival. She said you can have a smoking room. I said no way. She said then I have nothing for you. I said can I see the room and she handed me... More

Was just here for an overnight. The front desk hours are limited (a minor quibble), but I was able to pick up my key from the manager at her suite in the motel. She had my receipt all ready for check-out as I was due to leave early the next morning. Yes the rooms are dated as far as decor,... More

We stayed at the Arnica Inn for a week this summer. They say you get what you pay for, but not too sure about that. The price was very reasonable for Yellowknife. We picked The Arnica as you can walk to both downtown and Old Town. We got a Kitchenette with a three burner stove. None of the burners worked,... More

I travel to Yellowknife on business a few times a year and always stay at the Arnica Inn. The rooms are spacious, free Wi-Fi, digital cable with lots of channels. My rooms have always been clean, though maybe a little rundown in a few rooms. Shower had amazing water pressure, and great AC in the summer. The front desk is... More

The Arnica Inn has not been kept up. My non smoking room smelled like smoke. There was no heat and no hot water. The air vent in the bathroom rattled all night from the wind and the smoke detector right above the bed has flashing lights on it which makes it hard to fall asleep. They were kind enough to... The Arnica Inn features nice and spacious rooms. The visitors gets quite a lot for his money. Hotel management and employees are very friendly. I can warmly recommend the place and will surely book again, if I happen to be in YK again.

Stayed here for work. When I arrived at 11:00pm the hotel was closed and I had to visit a room to obtain my key. No ID required. Room did not have any heat, but I was able to remove the blankets from one bed and put them on the other to keep warm throughout the night. I informed hotel staff... More

I stayed at a recently renovated room and found it well appointed and comfortable. The bed was nice and firm, the sheets were high quality and the pillows were soft. The wireless worked well and was able to connect without trouble. I enjoyed the fact it was no smoking. I like the fact that my room was on the first... More

“It's a motel set up, with a number of rooms having doors that open to the outside. In the winter, this may be a bad idea. The "indoor" rooms (rooms behind the lobby) may be a little quieter, but I didn't get a chance to compare.”
