We recently spent two nights in the Harbour Suite (3 adults), which has a wonderful view, a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting area and very comfortable beds. We found the suite to be meticulously clean when we arrived. The host, Amanda, is very gracious, and welcomes guests in the lovely garden every day at 5 pm with a glass of wine. She serves a home cooked breakfast every morning, and it was delicious! We will definitely return!

We enjoyed a four night stay at the Cooper's Inn. The location and inn exceeded our expectations. First of all, we were delighted by numerous stellar sunsets with Shelburne Harbour as its stage. We did not anticipate the Inn's close proximity to the harbor. The rooms were comfortable, immaculately clean, and quiet. The outdoor patio and garden were especially charming. The town itself has a rich history and we enjoyed strolls along the waterfront. We applaud the innkeeper who is gracious and warm. She is the perfect person to run a property like this. And the breakfast she prepared for us was absolutely delicious. We were so glad to have stayed during our first visit to Nova Scotia!

This is a beautiful old building, lovingly maintained and with considerable warmth. The room was excellent with nice touches, including cooper the stuffed bear. Our hosts were welcoming and very informative. If you have time, explore the area using the historical map provided. David chatted with us at breakfast and provided us with the history of the town. Very informative. Breakfast was excellent as well. Don’t miss this B&B.

We had booked on the wrong date but upon arrival they were able to accommodate us albeit in another room. The room was very comfortable and clean. We had great suggestions for lunch and dinner and the included breakfast was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely an incredible experience, Pat and David went above and beyond to ensure our weekend was memorable. From the history chats in the garden, with a wine glass of course, to the tasty lobster dinner all prepared by them. Couldn't find a good way to express our appreciation for the hospitality that would describe our experience. Thank you both. Randy, Wendy, Warren and Nerissa.

We enjoyed everything about our visit to the Cooper’s Inn in Shelburne, from the comfortable room with large, bright windows to the lovely garden. Our hosts, Pat and Dave, made us feel at home right away, offering a relaxing happy hour in the garden each day and spectacular breakfasts. Don’t miss the French toast or fish cakes. So good. We hope to return to this welcoming inn before too long - a delightful break in these covid times.

We stayed for 1-night in the 2nd floor Morrison Room at the Cooper's Inn for 1-night in late-Sep ($189). The inn is a classic heritage building, both inside and out, a perfect representation of the style and substance of a century or more ago. Our room, although a bit small as you would expect from the era, was comfortable and beautifully furnished with period cabinets, chairs, etc., without giving up modern essentials like the internet, TV, or coffee maker. The only negative (that might be a positive for some) was the claw-footed bath tub – for a shower, you had to close an encircling curtain that tended to billow in, creating a claustrophobic feel. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly, hosting an afternoon social with wine for the guests (for us, a great opportunity to

Thank you for your time and your thoughtful comments. Travelers should be aware that our rooms are all different and a look at our website shows rooms and their characteristics quite clearly. We do welcome telephone and email inquiries. Direct booking allows the advantage of reduced rates for longer stays. There are 2 Buildings on the property that are very closely situated with only a 8'-9' deck area separating them. The Main Inn is a registered historic property with essentially period correct rooms. The Deluxe Rooms are larger. Rooms in the Cooperage are smaller but embrace most sleeping needs and requirements. The Morrison is one of our most popular rooms and is often chosen because it is our only room with the old fashioned claw foot tub. We're so pleased you enjoyed your visit to our Home and our Community. Safe travels!

After a years wait because of Covid, my wife and I were able to travel to Coopers Inn for a staycation and celebrate my birthday. We are two women who have been travelling together for many years. David greeted us warmly at check in and Pat took us up to our Room. We were showed the Morrison room. Loved it. Superior Queen on the second floor. Our view was of the beautiful English Gardens and Shelburne Harbour. Though there is no air conditioning, we found the fan and open window gave us an amazing sleep. Breakfast was delicious, but I thought the social in the gardens at 5pm a classic touch. Also the little surprise named Cooper who will silently greet you. He held a birthday greeting.

Comfortable, low key, relaxed...just a few words that begin to describe our stay at Cooper's Inn. You'll find the breakfasts substantial, delicious and cooked to order -- cod cakes, baked beans, blueberry pancakes, for example! Owners David and Pat are welcoming and even offer a 5-6pm outdoor social hour with your choice of a nice glass of red or white wine. The garden is colourful, whimsical, and like the entire property , is across the street from the Shelburne Harbour. Cooper's Inn is in the heart of Shelburne's historic district and is thoughtfully and comfortable restored to the last detail. Would we return? Yes, the first chance we get.
