Great views on the waterfront, above the Sea Dog family restaurant & pub, in the historic part of the town. Our room was cozy with a murphy bed - but probably one of the most unique, charming, well appointed rooms with character & nautical flair we have ever experienced. ( including many boats )

We were very disappointed that there was no television & this was a problem as we had a show we wanted to see and keep up with the news & weather. The room was spacious with nice views, but very basic. There is no access to breakfast in the morning so you need to take something with as limited places in Shelburne. The restaurant has limited hours, limited choices of food wine and beer. I wouldn’t need to rush back.

So I recently stayed here for work, Its a historic site that was renovated removing the Upstairs saloon and converting the space into hotel rooms, the site has a room with a single bed and the remaining rooms can sleep multiple people. Its a hotel that's got an on site Restaurant on the historic waterfront of the town, when I looked online the room I got was $99 per night when other Motels in the area were charging $150+ per night in winter/off season. And I gotta say... HOLY WOW, THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES I'VE STAYED AT!!! No, seriously, all my watchers, you need to check this place out, Its a quiet spot despite being located above a bar and Lounge. The community is a quiet community, and you are close to other areas along the south shore. To everyone I have to point out. It's better you call this place directly to make a booking as some booking sites don't tell you some important things. Check in is 4:00pm, and even though the site has a restaurant they are not open for breakfast. you get a great view of the harbor and the historical area, you are within walking distance of many of the historic sites and museums as well as other amenities and other places to eat and enjoy yourself. If I may suggest something to the owner. I LOVE that you offer Netflix and your rooms have smart TV's to watch Netflix on and forgoing Basic Cable, but I would suggest to Hard wire the Internet connection to the TV's rather than using the WIFI. Smart TV's can often lose their wifi connections if they are turned off for long periods of time, plus it saves on having to wait for Netflix to connect to the wifi or having to go into the TV settings to reconnect the TV to the WIFI. Other than that, the room was comfortable, and was great to stay in. Also Room 5 has a Murphy Bed, and its really comfortable. Seriously guys go check this place out, I cannot do this place justice.

We stayed here for two nights in September 2018. One of the days it was torrential rains and we were sort of stuck inside, which is one of the problems when the TV only has Netflix and the link gets broken! Might want to spring for cable TV if possible. We loved the view in the Hemingway room, and the hotel itself is in a beautiful place to go for a walk around this wonderful little town. The food at the Sea Dog is amazing. The staff and chef really wonderful and accommodating. I noticed someone else said something about the breakfast and I think that would be good to offer a breakfast. Took a bit to get hot water in the bathroom sink.

Four of us booked into this hotel and everyone just loved it. The views from every room were spectacular. And the rooms were HUGE, with charming nautical names and appointments. The location was perfect to explore the historic area of Shelburne on foot. And as a bonus, there was a great restaurant, The Sea Dog, right downstairs. A great spot for a casual dinner. Highly recommended!
