I recently spent the month of January at Blue Shutters while travel nursing in the Valley. I shared the space with a friend of mine and fellow travel nurse. We had our own entrance, plenty of parking space and convenient key pad lock. The apartment was very clean and the owners would work around our schedules to come do a weekly refresh of bedding/ towels/ floors. Large whirlpool tub to relax in after work and a combo washer/ dryer in unit. The kitchen had everything you’d need to cook a meal, Keurig machine with kcups and a coffee pot. In unit heat pump as well as heated mattress pads (we loved these sooo much). Plenty of closet space for longer stays. Owners were friendly and readily available if needed - I was able to text Darryl for anything. Additionally, during my stay it snowed and on multiple occasions Darryl had cleaned the snow off my vehicle while shovelling the driveway! I would recommend Blue Shutters to anyone planning a trip to the Valley long or short (it’s also just up the street from where the wine bus tours depart!)

We spent a wonderful night at Blue Shutters at the end of September. Darryl was a most welcoming and informative host. Our room was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean with a lovely view of the surrounding gardens and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The ensuite bath was large, clean and modern with a fabulous shower. The location is perfect - right in the heart of Wolfville, yet just off the main street enough to feel like you're out in the woods. We can't recommend Blue Shutters enough. We hope we will have another opportunity to stay there. We also enjoyed our dinner at Paddy's Pub as recommended by Darryl. Thanks Darryl and Diane!

Comfortable room within easy walking distance of downtown restaurants and pubs and Acadia University where we watched a football game. Minutes by car from Grand Pre, local wineries. Bay of Fundy views about 1/2 hour by car. Our hosts were helpful in recommendations for exploring the area. Breakfast was delicious!

Spent two nights in Wolfville at the Deep Roots Festival and touring the area, Darryl was a wealth of information and gave us a map with a great loop of views. The house was fantastic, clean, and up to date. Breakfast menu was varied and each item we have was delicious.

We recently stayed at Blue Shutters I Wolfville, NS on a bucket trip around Cape Breton. What a wonderful place ! Darryl and Diane were exceptional hosts, particularly in light on Huricane Dorian on it's way to the Maritime coast. Despite no hydro, fierce winds and rain, and limited communication, our hosts were well prepared and took wonderful care of their guests ... a full house! It was comforting to know we had a generator and felt very safe and secure in the conductor of their beautiful home. We highly recommend Blue Shutters, and hope to enjoy a stay again, perhaps when a huricane is not in sight!

Darryl and Diane are outstanding hosts - warm and knowledgeable without being intrusive. I am fascinated by the Bay of Fundy tides and Darryl sketched out a carefully planned itinerary for nearby tidal spots complete with times. The breakfast was Outstandingly outstanding with a menu of choices for each guest including 3 kinds of pancakes. I ordered the ginger pancakes with lemon sauce and maple bacon. Yummers!!!

Myself and my husband came to the valley with no plans to stay anywhere we were just winging it. My husband called the visitor information centre to see where in town had rooms available and they told us this place ! We were not disappointed at all! We were greeted by Darryl who showed us around the house and our room. Our room had a private balcony and the two person jet tub. He explained that breakfast was served between 8-9am. We asked him for recommendations on places to eat and vineyards to see, he pulled out a map and showed us about 10 places right away! We checked out two of his recommendations and were not disappointed ! Daryll is very knowledgeable of the area! The bed was super comfy, the room had lots of room, there’s a tv with fibre op and a mini fridge. Breakfast the next morning was great ! He remembered that I’m a coffee drinker and my husband is just good with plain OJ and had it ready for us! We were served fresh berries and cream while waiting for our pancakes and bacon ! After reading previous reviews we knew we had to get the pancakes and they were just as good as home! Fluffy and served piping hot! This place is located on a quiet street off the main area of town, walking distance to everything you need ! 110% recommend this place and if we’re ever in the valley again we will be staying here ! Thank you Daryll and your wife for welcoming us into your lovely home !

We have stayed with Darryl and Diane on a number of occasions while our daughter attended Acadia University and we were visiting Wolfville. They rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. They make you feel so welcome it truly feels like home, and that you are visiting good friends. It's located close to the main part of town, but still very quiet. While it will be a while before we have the opportunity to visit the Annapolis valley again, we will miss having the opportunity to see the beautiful scenery and to enjoy the hospitality from Darryl and Diane. There is no hesitation from me to highly recommend that anyone should stay with them in their beautiful bed and breakfast.
