The Annapolis Royal Inn is a "Boutique Motel" offering 30 air conditioned rooms, all with triple sheet bedding. We are situated on over 15 acres of landscaped grounds fronting 400 year old Acadian dyke lands. We are 1.4 km from both the National Historic Fort Anne and the Historic Gardens both of which are in the Beautiful Town of Annapolis Royal a mere 2 minutes drive or 20 minutes walking according to Google Map. But if you choose to walk keep in mind this is along a country road without sidewalks and due care has to be taken. From 7 to 11 am we offer a self serve breakfast that includes depending the time of year a wide selection of items including fresh waffles and hot local made sausages. Our heated in ground salt water pool is open from late June to Mid September.

This hotel was wonderful! The care takers live on site and clearly take thoughtful care of the facility. The receptionist was friendly as was the gentleman who oversaw breakfast. The rooms were nicely kept. The floors were LVP and looked new. The bathroom was recently remodeled, had a lower drawer under the sink that was stocked with extra supplies. The bedding was nice. So many little things! All the lights in the room looked new and interesting. Would stay here again if I could.

The grounds were very pretty and if I had time I would sit awhile.

Very Pleasant 2-Night Stay!
Check in was smooth and quick. Superior room with 2 beds (#27) was very clean. 4 pillows each bed and beds were comfortable. Heating system worked very well, (Oct stay). Lots of hot water and lots of pressure for shower. Liked the hardwood floors, instead of carpet. Continental breakfast was fabulous, perhaps the best I ever had. Well supplied with fresh baked scones, English muffins, waffles, eggs, cheese, yogurt, good fresh coffee. Pat, out Irish host was excellent.

Friendly, helpful staff! The room was tastefully decorated, modern, immaculate and well supplied. The grounds are nicely landscaped with places to relax and the huge lawn backs onto a natural area which was delightful for my dogs. The staff made a stressful time in my life actually enjoyable! If you are visiting the area, the inn is near enough to the beautiful historic Annapolis Royal that you can walk. I will definitely stay there again!

Room was dusty and pillows and bed should have been changed 20 years ago. Pillows and bed had dust right into them and the pillows were scrunched into a half size as they are so worn out. Threw out the baggie they gave us for breakfast as not even worth trying to eat a small piece of chees a boiled egg age unknown and a juice and breakfast bar. We will never stay there again as it is so poorly maintained and the breakfast not fit to fed a dog.

Although I was only there for a short time, I enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean and well furnished. The bed and pillows were soft and very comfortable.
Staff were very nice and handled things very quickly. Breakfast included a large selection of items and lots of coffee.
I was impressed and would recommend a stay here.

Lots of issues. The bed hard to get in and out of. Felt like you were going to fall out. The TV did not work. The heat did not work until morning when it was not needed. Did not allow heat adjustment at night and freezing. The bath tub is dangerous especially for elderly. One of my party did not attempt getting in and out of it as a result. After use of tub water was left on floor from previous tenant. No table or place to conveniently play cards. Host not very friendly with check-in. There were other issues but forget them now.

from the outside it didn't look like much. we almost turned around- but i'm glad we didn't. the common rooms inside were great. rooms were big, comfortable and clean. bathroom and kitchenette were well appointed. the location was perfect. snack machines and laundry machines. we were surprised at how nice this place actually was.

We have been on the road for 16 weeks and these are the worst beds EVER! Seriously, we had to take meds for days from these hard, board hard, beds. We had to move heavy furniture to get to electrical outlets to charge the phones. Oh yeah, the coffee wasn't good either. Skip this one.

Response from Annapolis R, Owner at Annapolis Royal Inn
Responded Aug 22, 2013
Brenda As owners we are absolutely devastated that you had such a horrible experience. I spoke with our staff and we are trying to figure why this happened – we have just upgraded new mattress in some rooms and sorry we could not found more comfortable beds for you. I would hope that anyone staying would let our front desk staff know that the mattresses are not to their satisfaction (we know our guests have different preference) to permit us to change the room if possible. Not sure why you moved the furniture to charge your phone, certainly you should not have to - each room has numerous outlets – some are activated by the wall switch at the entrance and perhaps that may have caused you an issue – and also all our en suite bathrooms have outlets. We have spent 15 years trying the go the extra mile for all our guests and our deepest apology for your need to take med’s on account of our beds

We spent one night here in September, 2005. It was a good, clean, standard motel--a long, one-story building, spread out along a well-groomed property. The staff was very nice and helpful, and recommended a great Croatian restaurant, the Sweet Secret. (The restaurant's service was slow, but the food was fabulous!) The Inn also has laundry facilities. A fairly extensive, cold breakfast was included.

Stayed here for two nights .. July 8th and 9th. Outside of Inn is very nice, however rooms need some serious updating which I think they were working on. We had to turn our mattresses over to flatten them out. Inn is not within walking distance of anything ... It is actually quite a ways down Highway 1. At first we thought we had the wrong directions. Continental breakfast was the usual though there was fresh fruit each day. There are not much of a choice of places to stay in Annapolis Royal so if a motel is what you are looking for ... then this going to be it.
