On our way to visit family we stopped in Antigonish for the night. We found the Inn on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. We felt welcomed from the first phone call. The rooms were spacious and immaculate. They are very tastefully decorated and provide everything a person needs. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the fresh blueberry scones are amazing. So much so that we left with one so we could have it on the road. We would highly recommend this inn for both an overnight stay and a destination, if spending time in the Antigonish area. You will not be disappointed.
A warm welcome even during Covid precautions. Entered the charming lobby to find a gorgeous setup for evening homemade soup (delicious) and great breakfast. Picked up the package with room key and info. Upon entering the room, the heat was on, the desk light was on and TV featured soothing countryside views. Nowhere else we have stayed over the years has a handwritten note to welcome us. Everything is immaculately clean. There are so many little touches in the room that make it more comfortable - a lint roller, charming artwork, sunflowers, fireplace, - we could go on and on but we highly recommend you find out for yourself. People say it's a home away from home, but it's better! At home, we don't have Linda to spoil us with her homemade goodies. Thanks for a great stay.…
A touch of home with personalized service. We were in Antigonish to pick up our new puppy and booked two rooms, a double and a queen. Both rooms were warm and cozy, with welcoming note, even a gift for puppy on the bed. The Inn had every comfort: a spacious bathroom, terry robes, slippers, a basket of food for breakfast, even an umbrella and a windshield scraper hanging by the door. The bath products were first class. Morning brought snow, but no problems for us as the road and doorway was shoveled and even our car was cleared. We left well rested with a bag of homemade scones to sustain us on the drive home.
I flew down east to give my daughter some TLC so she could recover from a vicious bout of strep throat. I moved her out of her dorm and stayed at the inn for 5 nights with her. Linda and Christie were fabulous - I didn't have a car, so Christie offered to pick up a grocery order for me and even unpacked it all while we were at the hospital! The room was super clean and comfortable, the kitchen adequate enough to be able to make homemade chicken noodle soup and shepherd's pie. The bonus was the cooked breakfast including wonderful scones. We really appreciated everything Linda and Christie did and how helpful and caring they were. We plan on returning!
Spent the night when traveling to Cape Breton. Contactless key pick up. Lights, TV, and heat already on for us. Very clean. Great communication in paperwork. Lovely breakfast basket with homemade baked goods. Even an electric tea kettle (which is sadly missing most places as folks assume everyone likes coffee 😝). My daughter loved snuggling in a fuzzy robe for the evening. If she says yes to CBU, Evergreen Inn will surely see me again.
I stayed here for the night last week. The check in was super simple and the fastest I've ever had. As you walk into your room you feel like you just arrived in your home. They have taken every step to assure your stay is perfect. the rooms are very clean and have lost of extras including a fireplace. The next morning I enjoyed their hot breakfast they offer, the home cooking was beautiful, but the conversation was what made this stay one to remember. The host are amazing people. I would recomend this place toanyone that wants a pleasant experience.
One night stay at this well-appointed inn. Warm, cozy, with personal touches and including all you could need for a stay of any length. Engaging owners. Tasty breakfast. Parking close by. Well worth returning to.
This is a very special place to stay because of the care and attention to detail the owners give to ensuring guests feel welcome and as comfortable as it is possible to be. There are some very thoughtful touches that took us by surprise and made us wish we were staying longer, for example putting our keys out for us in envelopes with our names on so we knew we were expected, even though someone was there to welcome us, umbrellas in our rooms - it was raining - bath robes and slippers even for a one night stay and the fresh baked items for breakfast. It really is a hidden gem in Antigonish!
Very nice quiet location , extremely friendly people , very clean room, and the home made treats for breakfast were number 1 , definitely recommended and will return next time we need a place in Antigonish
Pleasantly surprised by the personal touches in our room. This is a privately own Inn and the owner knew we were going to arrive a little later at night, they had the tv turned on, the heat at a very nice temperature, a welcome "breakfast basket" which included homemade scones & with a personal note. The room had a full functioning kitchenette, for anyone not wanting to eat out this is such a great option. We could not have asked for more and we will definitely recommend and return. Thank you to the owners for a wonderful experience. :)
