Lovely place - the hosts go out of their way to ensure that you have a great stay. It is obvious that this mother/daughter duo take great pride in their establishment. The room was nicely decorated, very clean with two comfortable beds. Breakfast was also very nice - homemade blueberry scones - delicious!

Lovely room. Quiet. Nice bathroom. Robes a very nice touch. Very clean room. Nice breakfast options. Friendly , helpful and available staff. Could have used an extra pillow but I didn’t bother asking for one. I’m sure they would have accommodated.

We loved our stay at this little inn! While we only stayed overnight, it would be perfect for a longer stay to explore the area. Our room was comfortable and clean, with lots of attention to the small details that made it feel like home (bathrobes and slippers, an umbrella, a real plant on the table, etc.) The kitchenette was handy to have, as was the coin operated laundry room. This is a family run business and service was super friendly and personal. We booked later in the day, and received a call from the owner with instructions for self check-in because she was away for the afternoon. Everything went smoothly! Breakfast is provided in the morning, with a few different options. Make sure to try the homemade blueberry scones...they were delicious! The owner was available during breakfast for chatting with guests and providing local recommendations. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

My daughter attends the local university (StFx) and I have travelled numerous times over the past 3 years (over 10 times so far) from our home in Vancouver BC to Antigonish NS to visit. The Evergreen Inn instantly became my home away from home, it is a hidden jewel, whose hosts (Linda, Christy and Rick) live on site and treat you as family. Their hospitality is remarkable as is their venue - a small family run boutique motel, with charming decor, beautiful pastoral scenery, an extremely quiet location, and a wonderful breakfast including their famous homemade blueberry scones. Each room has a small kitchenette, wi-fi, robes, slippers, and an inspirational quote! Laundry and ice are available. Even during the cold and rainy/snowy Nova Scotia winter, their place is cozy and relaxing. Only a 3-minute drive from the downtown and the university, and a short drive to the spectacular coastline, the Evergreen Inn is an oasis. I’ve stayed in small hotels around the world, and this is by far the best. Make sure to book early for any visits in the summer as they fill months in advance.

It would be easy to blow by this little 8-room inn just outside of Antigonish, but give it a second look. It's a lovely family-run spot with exquisite attention to detail and amenities you would expect at a 5-star hotel. The rooms are average but each has a kitchenette, including stove, microwave and small fridge. There is fast wi-fi, robes, ice, laundry, breakfast, handwritten welcome note, friendly service (always with an added story to share) and you just feel like you're almost at home. Congrats to the team at this unexpected find.

One of the cleanest rooms we’ve stayed in ever! It isn’t an outdated motel, it’s a very comfortable, well-equipped, incredibly clean spot. Very quiet and comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious. We met Christie and she made us feel at home. You won’t be disappointed!

An Absolute Gem!!! Every once in a while,, we come across an Inn where the service level and attention to detail vastly exceeds our expectations. This Inn falls into that category. I have been travelling globally for work for over 30 years and have stayed in many hotels, inns, etc.. The quality of my accomodations has spanned the spectrum between rustic indoor camping to the extravagant. The attention to detail, beautiful breakfast, presentation of the room, wonderful amenities and extremely helpful owner and staff made our stay at the Evergreen Inn absolutely fantastic and memorable!!! Thank you and we shall return.

What a lovely experience! With the spacious suite (with kitchenette!) and all the amenities - the bathrobes are 5 star! - and the fact that it is kept spotlessly clean, I know I'll be back. Now... on to the scones! (Oh well, I can get back to my diet tomorrow....)

What a lovely place to stay on our Canadian road trip! We had planned out how far we would drive each day and then looked for a place to book to stay the night. So glad we chose the Evergreen Inn. It is clean, brightly decorated, live plants - just so welcoming and has everthing you could ask for which greatly impressed us. Kristie, the owner, is a delightful young woman who wants you to enjoy your stay. She makes breakfast which is served in the "lobby" which she has managed to decorate in a way that makes you feel like you're sitting in a friend's kitchen. Tables also available outside if you choose to eat outdoors. I was impressed with the selection of breakfast food especially the homemade scones (lemon/blueberry and Delicious!) and steel cut oatmeal with blueberry compote - excellent! A selection of cereals and every topping imaginable, eggs, etc round out the offerings. No need for lunch after this! We very much enjoyed staying at this little gem of a place and would definitely recommend!
