Nestled in the heart of downtown Sydney and in Sydney's historical Northend, Celtic Charm Bed and Breakfast is ideal for anyone who wishes to leisurely discover all that Sydney has to offer. We are walking distance from the Big Fiddle, fine dining, walking tours, theaters or, if you prefer, just a stroll to catch the sunset on the Sydney Boardwalk.
Stayed at the Celtic Charm B&B for one night while in Sydney and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was very nice and had all required amenities. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and put on a great breakfast. As we were the only people staying that night, I think we got spoiled a bit although they probably do that for everyone. The location is great, about a 5 minute walk to the waterfront, shopping, restaurants etc. I would recommend staying here and would definitely return when near Sydney

When we think about the ideal B&B, Celtic Charm would hold our top spot. This +100 year old home has been lovingly restored and maintained. Kudos to Lisa and Chris. The room and bathroom were so clean and comfortable. The breakfast was to die for (blueberry crumble, waffles and bacon). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B. Will stay here again when we return to the Sydney area. My advice to Lisa? I know that Covid has been tough but I hope you hang in there as you were meant to do this. We so enjoyed your Cape Breton hospitality.

This is a beautiful B&B located a few minutes’ walk to the harbour and cruise port in Sydney. The house features antique furniture and beautiful stained glass windows. Our room was comfortable, clean and well-appointed. There was an air conditioner but we found it a bit noisy. The breakfast room was available anytime for coffee/tea and homemade sweets. Breakfast was elaborate and delicious. We really enjoyed sampling the “white pudding.” We were able to park our car on the street, directly in front of the B&B.

We stayed for 1 night in the Cabot Room in this beautiful home. Room was very clean - bathroom floor shined. Large bathroom with great water pressure in shower and deep soaking tub. Bed was very firm. Hosts are super friendly! Fully stocked coffee bar with sweet treats and some cold drink available anytime in breakfast room. Breakfast was delicious. Short walk to the big fiddle, boardwalk and a few restaurants (Governor's Pub and Eatery and Flavour on the Water.) Would return to this property if we are ever in Sydney NS again.

The house is very well restored with original woodwork; a beautiful property. Our room was gleaming and very comfortable. I really enjoyed the jetted tub and the homecooked breakfast was above and beyond. Lots of attention to detail and the owners take great pride in their business. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I make a habit of heading off for a B&B weekend in Nova Scotia every few months to decompress from work. We've been to plenty of B&Bs, but this one really impressed us. Even more so because we're in the middle of a pandemic. Every little added touch was incredible. The coffee and tea bar in the dining room, with delicious desserts out for the taking were so lovely. The décor makes the house really feel like home, and the hosts are just the kindest people. Our room had everything we could need, was super cozy, and brunch was really phenomenal and delish. Cannot recommend this cozy B&B enough!

What a lovely spot to explore Sydney and the area. Good distance - able to walk to downtown, or a short drive, with free parking at the B&B. The hosts are very thoughtful - from homemade shortbread cookies in the room upon arrival, tea/coffee/water available throughout the day with snacks, to their accommodations for our gluten free diet - everything was fantastic.

From our warm greeting to our final goodbyes our experience at Celtic Charm was exceptional. Our room was sunny and comfortable, perfect for recovering after a long days drive. The food was awesome and plentiful. It is within walking distance to restaurants and waterfront. Any future trip to CB will definitely include a stay at Celtic Charm B&B.

This is a great location for exploring the downtown. Easy walking to restaurants and shops. Also a good base for hiking and touring the Cabot Trail and Fortress Louisburg. Lisa provides a variety of options for breakfast. All of them delicious and filling. The charmingly decorated rooms are so clean and they strictly adhere to pandemic requirements. Lisa is very welcoming and knows the area well. She was very pleasant to chat with for ideas on touring. We had a comfortable stay and highly recommend this BnB.

Wonderful breakfast served freshly cooked at a agreed time. Not the "complimentary" low quality sugary stuff you get at hotels. Lovely private bathroom. The A/C-unit was very noisy. Excellent service even though I arrived quite late.

Thank you for your review. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the air conditioner can be a bit loud. It was on our list to be replaced until COVID hit. Best of luck and think of us if you plan another trip to Cape Breton! Kind regards ~ Lisa
