Excellent hotel. Clean, friendly staff, clean lobby, great breakfast. Guest laundry, coffee and tea available in the lobby 24/7. Pool and waterslide. Waterslide needs to be painted as it is heavily rusted but that seems to be the same everywhere there are waterslides. Do not hesitate to book here, you will not be disappointed.

This hotel is connected via medway tot he tree and convention centre so it is unbeatable if you are attending a wedding or concert in that location. We stayed in one of the suites and the price point was exceptional compared to other hotels across the country. Room was new, clean, and very well appointed. Overall this was an excellent stay.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. I am so happy you had an excellent stay in our beautiful king room suite. I agree that the pedway is so convenient with it being attached to the trade centre, especially while staying here for a function there. No having to go outside! Again thank you for staying with us and we hope you are able to stay with us again soon.

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending a hockey tournament. The accommodation was clean and the service was friendly. The hairdryer overheated but it was replaced quickly and pleasantly. The breakfast had a a reasonable menu choice and we appreciated the time til 10am

Double billed and when asked about it they said it was my credit cards problem. They said I had to call my credit card company it’s not their problem. In actuality the little boy they had working that night billed someone else’s room to my card as well as my own. Also FYI.... their breakfast staff.... don’t ask them where the milk is cause they will bite your head off. Lol!!

I am sorry you had a bad experience resulting with your credit card being authorized for too much. Unfortunately we require a credit card to guarantee the reservation and then upon check in to cover room, tax and incidentals. If you book more then one room with your credit card on the reservations there is a chance your credit card will be authorized for all rooms. Again I do apologize we let you down this stay and hope you do decide to stay with us again in the future.

First I have to issue a shout out to Stacy at the front desk...... We showed up a day early for our reservation and the hotel was totally sold out. Stacy called around to others to see if they had rooms - no luck. Not an issue as we had planned to visit Louisbourg the next day so will see what we could find there. Success!
We came back to the Hampton the next day for 3 nights and enjoyed our brief stay. Room was clean and comfortable, albeit during these times, there is no housekeeping during a brief stay. Extra towels and other amenities are easily available.
Breakfast is included and is easily accessible.
Bottled water can be sought by simply asking the front desk.
Bonus ****there is a washer & dryer on the main floor*** (coin operated of course)

I can’t believe we have been overlooking this hotel during our stays in Sydney. With newly renovated/immaculate rooms, FREE parking on site (other hotel chains on the waterfront will charge $20-$25), breakfast included with a warm, informative greeting from Mark at the front desk who met my requests, we felt right at home!
That being said, we did run into a few nuances while staying. Although the breakfast had numerous options and was well stocked/kept, the potatoes were under cooked. We didn’t have hot water to shower that morning neither, needing to take a lukewarm sponge bath at the sink which was not ideal after being at the pool.
The pool is small but has an enclosed water slide with its separate exit from the pool to the right. I am unsure if this is typically a heated pool, but the water was cool when my daughter and I entered. With the boisterous children doing canon balls in the already limited space plus the cold water, we ended up leaving within 15 minutes. The towels were equally not available to guests, needing my daughter and I to retrieve our own room towels as advised by the front desk as they were “washing the pool towels.”
Overall, the hotel has a lot to offer. Superb customer service at check-in and outstanding cleanliness standards is a win for us. Thanks for having us!

I stayed one night here as a stop-over. My room was well cleaned, comfortable and large, (some furnishings were dated, but no big deal). Lots USB and power outlets was nice. The breakfast isn’t a full serve “restaurant breakfast”, but for an “included in the price” hotel breakfast, it was excellent - hot dishes (cheese omelette, potatoes, sausage when I was there) plus oatmeal, cereal, muffins, juice, bagels, toast, fruit, and make your own waffles with two kinds of batter.
The attached restaurant is great as well. I loved that outside the restaurant you could learn about some of the local L’nu’k culture (also known as Mi’kmaq). When I go back I really want to visit the nearby cultural centre, sounds very cool). Overall, a very convenient, comfortable place to stay!

The guest service from the reservations department is the worst I’ve ever experienced.
I was scheduled to stay here and contacted the hotel as I needed to cancel/postpone my trip and the voicemail when called said that they were busy and to leave my name and number and they would call me back when free. Well I never heard anything and my credit card was charged for my stay, still 2 days after I was supposed to stay and haven’t heard anything from them.
My business used to have quite a few nights that we stayed here each year, but we will no longer consider this hotel as they are only out for money and not looking to make their guests feel appreciated. I stay in hotels upward of 100 nights a year and doubt I will stay at another dpmurphy group hotel unless absolutely no other choices are available.

The hotel is clean. The location is great, especially the restaurant. The bed is comfortable, shower is great. All things I look for. So why 2?
There are 3 things that make me happy in a hotel - a comfortable bed and bedding, a good shower and not being able to hear people in the hall.
I happened to be here during a hockey tournament. Everyone in my hall was here together. When I walked down the hall the security latch was closed over so it stopped the doors from closing all the way (allowing friends and kids to come and go). I knew there would be noise. I’ve been at other hotels and experienced this. But it was worse than I expected and people weren’t even being unreasonably loud.
You could hear everything in the hallway clear as a bell. Even someone trying to be quiet. You hear people running up and down the halls and constant banging of doors as people let them slam on the lock. I could clearly hear conversations.
I could hear people running in the halls above.
The walls must be paper thin. I could hear the tv in the next room perfectly and my neighbours did not have it at an unreasonable volume. Maybe leaving the doors slightly ajar make it worse.
It is the worst I’ve experienced.
I did not bother complaining. The hotel is full and I expect location would not fix the issue. The staff cannot sound proof a room.
If you are here for a tournament or party and don’t mind some noise, it’s a great hotel.
