Our first trip to Residence Inn by Marriott but not our last! We planned a staycation here with our kids and friends and were very impressed with the rooms, the facilities and the customer service. The rooms were large and comfortable and the kitchen was so handy to have with small children who smack often. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the water was warm and the area was clean and the water slide was a hit. Everyone at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. We had several requests and questions and everyone we spoke to was eager to help, we were very impressed with the customer service. Can’t wait to go back again!

The people at this hotel are so friendly, we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The suite we stayed in was fantastic, we had a full kitchen that included dishes and cutlery dish towels, you name it it was there. The location to Dartmouth crossing is amazing. we were in walking distance to so many places. We really enjoyed out stay here and we will be back.

This was a great new find for us. It's been many years since we stayed at a Residence Inn but we definitely will make it a new choice. The check in was quick, easy and friendly. They upgraded us to a one bedroom suite which was unexpected. The room was exceptionally clean. The kitchen was very well equipped with most of what you would need to have a light meal in the room. Wifi was great and best of all, we couldn't hear the air conditioner/heater. Breakfast offered both hot and cold choices (served, not buffet at this time). Plenty of parking. Many restaurants and shopping were within walking distance. Great spot over all and we were very pleased.

First, this is a new, clean and comfortable hotel. Staff are great and location is perfect. As a regular at Marriott’s (titanium member), I love what is similar about the chain and loath what is different between them.

So, the room was fantastic. Like I said, it’s clear and large and everything you come to expect from a Residence Inn. Also, the desk faces the window and while this may seem like a little thing, after a long day of work, coming back to a hotel room to do more work only to face the wall (like other hotels) is draining. This is a nice change.

While it’s nice to see buffet breakfast back, it was busy and a few items were not available and so we were limited in our options. That was disappointing.

A big thing for me is that I bring a FireStick with me when I travel. Like many, we stream our favourite shows and while it’s great that Netflix is on the television, it’s not the only streaming service and this is one of the few hotels that wouldn’t allow the FireStick to work. For me and many other heavy travellers, this becomes a decision factor when other options close by make this work.

We spoke to the service tech and they seem to know it’s the box on the back that impacts it and I hope they are able to correct this.

Lastly, the EV charging option is fantastic! While the streaming issue is one factor, being an EV owner, so is a charging option and so we would recommend this location to those travelling with an EV.

We stayed at this location for 8 nights while visiting family and exploring the Halifax area. The staff were very welcoming, and the manager was very great, and helped us get an extra room on very short notice. The Starbucks in the lobby is great, and the baristas are very accomodating. Pool is great, and waterslide is fun for the little ones. The location is great, as it is close to lots of shopping, restaurants, Tim Hortons, gas stations, and IKEA. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and very modern. Would recommend for anyone! And I should mention, once arriving to the floor I stayed on (floor 7 of 8), the view of the shopping and surrounding areas is fantastic!

This was our second time visiting this hotel. It is beautiful and quiet, while located next to shopping and an amazing park. We went to Shubie Park and kayaked and we went swimming at the beach. There is also a dog beach at the other end of the park.
It is great staying here because you have a full kitchen and there are lots of restaurants in walking distance.
The only negative this year was our room windows looked on a brick wall and an AC fan. I was a bit disappointed as we are Marriott Bonvoy members and have stayed at other Residence Inns this year. Overall, it was fine though as we weren’t in the room much.

Location: Excellent location at Dartmouth Crossing. The Keg Steakhouse is next door. Plenty of free parking.

Check-in: Quick, friendly, professional service.

Room: The room was excellent. It has a kitchen area with a close to full-size fridge, two burner cooktop, and dishwasher and a kitchen table with chairs. The livingroom/bedroom area has a dedicated work area, a sofa and a bed. The room and the bathroom were very clean.

Wifi: The complimentary wifi was good.

Breakfast: The breakfast had limited options but several listed options were not available during the three breakfasts we had at the hotel. It was adequate given the circumstances.

Overall: Excellent hotel.

The hotel was nice and comfortable, not enough parking, pool was not checked for cleanliness and the hot tub was not working and was just as cold as the pool, not impressed for New Years Eve. The assistant general manager, Jason Brown, was not very compassionate in fact he was just the opposite. He suggested that we shouldn.t stay in regard to all the noise of New Years Eve.However our room was very quiet and we heard little to no noise despite his warnings that the hotel would be extremely noisy. Did bring it to the attention of the morning staff.

I have been a regular guest at the Courtyard side of this hotel. I have stayed about 30 nights collecting enough loyalty points to redeem for a free night in the Residence Inn side that was to be a treat for my wife and myself. Apparently what you get for being a loyal customer is the crappiest room available when redeeming points. Hanging light fixtures that are missing their shades, basically bare bulbs hanging from the ceiling. Some kind of decoration scotch taped to the ceiling? Dirty nightstand, marked up walls, no amenities provided. Went downstairs to discuss with front desk staff, but got nowhere! I have paid a lot of money to stay here all those nights, but when redeeming points, feel like we were treated like second class. It’s probably time for me to find a new hotel when in town for business.

Stayed at this hotel in September for my son's birthday party. It was the 2nd time we stayed here. We live in Halifax but we love hotel staycations.

There were 4 of us adults and 5 kids including my son. Ages ranged from 8 to 10. We had booked 3 rooms.

Rooms were very clean, spacious and big! It had everything we needed! From cutlery, dishes, freezer for the ice-cream cake, nice big fridge to keep cold drinks etc. The t.v has Netflix and everything else on it for the kids to enjoy watching movies and listen to music.

The pool was a major hit! Nice size pool and water slide was a blast for the adults and kids!

The hotel staff were very friendly and accomadating.

Breakast in the morning was excellent and everything ran very smooth. Went down to pick up bagels, eggs, juice and sausages, cereal etc in the morning. Very friendly, fast and efficient service.

My son and his friends had a blast! We will continue to stay at this hotel for all of our staycations. Very affordable! And I will continue to recommend this hotel to everyone!

Thanks for the great time !

Lisa
