We found this quiet, quaint place around the corner one morning from one of the horrible motels in Digby NB, which we got stuck at one night, and felt so blessed Saskia and Claude allowed us to bring our small 17yr old dog with us and they provided a me a private room for my fiancee and our dog. They... More

The owners are the ones who will welcome you at the door with a beautiful smile ! This is like a home away from home. Also, they have young travellers as volunteers helping you at the hostel, which is amazing, since you can meet so many interesting people.

We ended up staying at the Digby Backpackers Inn as we made our way from Halifax down and back up the coast of Nova Scotia. Clean, comfortable, and the friendliest hosts and staff! Full of recommendations on where to eat (the Wheelhouse was amazing!), and what to see on our way to PEI. They made excellent breakfast companions, and we... More

I stayed here with a few friends for two nights for a wedding we were attending in the area. The place is very nice, extremely clean and quiet. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice spot to stay in Digby.

I stay every year for Wharf Rat Rally at the Digby Backpackers Inn. What a find! And it's perfect for bikers!!!! They have a drive in/drive out two door large garage for starters plus plenty of places to park your bike. The owners, Claude and Saskia just can't do enough for you and the place is clean and very well-run.... More

Prior to my stay at the Digby Backpackers' Inn, I had never stayed at a hostel. I was apprehensive before arriving, but am very glad that I chose to stay there. The lady who operates the place was very welcoming and pointed my friend and I in the direction of a couple historic themed things to do around the area.... More

I spent one night there with my grandson. We had reserved one of the four bunkbed rooms. I did not know though that it would be in a little cabin outside. And that there was only the bathrooms in the house. Unfortunately, there was a patio and the younger people played games and listened to music on the porch where... More

Thank you so much for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay here. At the time I did ensure that the music was stopped and they would not remain on the balcony, as I was aware that others would want to sleep. Unfortunately at the time I was not aware of some guests smoking right there and the... More

This is a homey place that is an excellent value, but not more than that. The accommodations are clean, with soft old mattresses and no tub, but plenty of hot water and quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The breakfast is mostly cereal and fruit - no eggs or bacon unless you bring your own - but it is... More

We traveled to Nova Scotia in October and our plans were changed a bit by a windy harbor and a delayed boat. We ended up riding our motorcycle to Digby, not Halifax as originally planned, as the sun was setting and the cold was growing stronger. I remembered reading about a hostel in Digby. After asking around we were pointed... More

This is a spotless, comfortable and welcoming place. The owners are fabulous hosts and have great knowledge of the local area and attractions. Breakfast was laidback and we enjoyed conversation with people from all over the world. Check this place out.
