Welcome to Hillside Landing B&B in beautiful Digby, Nova Scotia! Our home is a Victorian 1910 home overlooking the Digby harbour. We have 3 guest rooms that include full ensuites, air conditioning, queen size beds (with extra cots available), a prepared hot breakfast and a balcony view of the Annapolis Basin off the Bay of Fundy. Includes free wifi. Lots of local restaurants/pubs serving fresh caught seafood dishes just steps away from our home. Whale watching tours off Briar Island, local golf courses and a local winery a just a few of the activities you can enjoy here. Also, you are only minutes from the Digby ferry that can bring you over to Saint John, New Brunswick.

The property exceeded our expectations. Henry, the proprietor was very welcoming and cordial in addition to being a wealth of local knowledge. Our room was very spacious and despite the house being over 100 years old, our bathroom fixtures rivaled the most luxurious hotels. There is a very comfortable sitting room with a large TV and the view from the balcony is fantastic. Our breakfast was gourmet.

It was by chance we discovered this gem! The hosts Henry and Linda were so charming and personable. Our room was exquisite and the breakfast delicious with scallop pcs topping off the eggs Benedict! (That I must try at home, delicious!) There are 3 rooms at the Hillside Landing which makes it very cozy and no pretentious vibes at all. Our sizable room and amenities exceeded my expectations. Everything was so clean and not cramped with unnecessary paraphernalia. (The bed was comfortable, room temperature controlled by a heat pump and a private spacious, clean bathroom with a great shower!) We had an evening drink and our morning coffee on the east facing deck which overlooks the water/ boats. The street below had a great little pub and the next street puts you on the main Water street so location is great as well. We thank our delightful hosts, especially with that little birthday surprise, so sweet! As mentioned, very personable and great place to stay. We also inquired as to buying scallops before leaving Digby and they directed us to Birch Street Fish Market! We def bought more than scallops; what a great market. Thanks for the tip!

Hillside Landing in Digby is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in over many trips in Canada. Henry and Linda couldn't have been more welcoming or more helpful. It is in a prime location right in the centre of town with views out across the harbour. The rooms are a spacious and the shower is amazing! Breakfast was delicious and Linda's butter oatcakes provided a lovely evening snack. Thank you Henry & Linda for your hospitality.

Henry & Linda go above & beyond as hosts and the property is finished to the highest standards. They had a cancellation and upgraded me to a beautiful harbour view suite at no charge. The house is beautifully done to retain the original features and yet make it feel like it was built yesterday. As soon as I walked in I felt the peaceful, calm energy and was welcomed like a long lost friend. Breakfast was delicious, the view is amazing. Location is convenient and parking easy. By far the nicest, cleanest most comfortable B&B I have ever stayed in (wish I stayed longer).

Can't recommend Hillside B&B enough. Everything was 10/10. We had the Rutherford room and was a fantastic size and the comfort level superb from bed and linen to the very modern shower faucet! Communal areas were so homely with tea and coffee available all day AND a delicious home cooked oatcake to go with it. Games, jigsaws, binoculars a bonus. The verandah was so relaxing, taking in the vista of Digby. We could of stayed for a week. Now the hosts, Henry and Linda, were the friendliest kindest people and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast blew us away, not only fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, but also home made waffles and then the scallops hollandaise with poached egg, bacon and muffin. Delicious. Thank you so much Henry for your hospitality and Linda for your kitchen skills, you made our stay so memorable.

It would be difficult to imagine a better experience. The house is meticulously maintained and renovated—perfect to the period although modern bathrooms—-meaning very comfortable! This central accommodation in Digby was outstanding. From our arrival to departure 4 days later, our hosts, Henry & Linda, couldn’t have been more welcoming, helpful and personable. The bedrooms and ensuites were beautiful, with excellent bedding/pillows/etc, and the most amazing en suite showers. There is such a friendly atmosphere around the house, and it was great meeting fellow guests at the breakfast table. We had 4 amazing different breakfasts prepared by Henry, and each day Linda would bake something so there was a mid-afternoon/evening snacks always available. There is a beautiful outdoor deck facing the harbour front – perfect for an afternoon coffee or that wee glass of wine in the evening. There is also a very modern communal lounge area – again, just perfect. Thanks to our wonderful hosts, Henry & Linda – true and genuine hospitality shown throughout our stay. Highly recommend this accommodation.

I am writing this review with honesty and much sincerity. Karyn and I decided to have a little stay vacation and visit Digby and the surrounding area and specifically go whale watching. After looking at the accommodations in the surrounding area and speaking to Henry we decided to book without hesitation on the Hillside Landing B&B. Henry and Linda are amazing people who have poured their hearts and souls into restoring the Hillside Landing B&B to unimaginable tastes and comforts . Thank You! Henry greeted us and helped us with our luggage and belongings at arrival and showed us to our room. Our room was the queen room with king sized proportions and with an on suite only equaling to the bathroom we had at the Bauer Hotel in Venice Italy. After settling in and meeting Linda she treated us with tea and the other guests to the most amazing oatcakes we had ever tasted. Breakfast was also one of the best we had ever tasted . Starting with a mouth watering fruit and yogurt par fee followed with the best eggs benedict I have ever tasted. Thank you Linda! The exquisite details to your breakfast certainly didn't go unnoticed and were greatly appreciated by Karyn, myself and your other guests. We didn't want to leave such warm and hospitable B&B owners, Henry and Linda. Karyn and I recommend to everyone staying or passing by Digby, Nova Scotia. We will definitely book and stay with Henry and Linda when we visit the valley of Nova Scotia again. Thanks again for such a memorable stay.
