My friends and I booked rooms at Come From Away for a pre-night stay before our whale watching excursion. We were checked in by the owner who was friendly and helpful. At check-in we were asked to select a breakfast time of 7:30am, 8:30am. and 9:30am. We then checked into our rooms which were very clean, and the beds had fam top mattresses so they are very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend Come From Away B&B.
Great location in downtown Digby. With ocean frontage, this is more a 2 story motel than a bed and breakfast. Our room I the detached from the house with its private bath was good sized, comfy bed & tv. The owners are friendly and familiar with the area to give local advice. The breakfast could use some improvement but they tried.
This inn has two buildings...the original house and a newer annex on the water. We had a delicious breakfast in the original building which was lovely. The buildings have a wonderful view of the harbor and town. Excellent seafood restaurants are in town and only a few minutes drive. Our room was up a number of steps so anyone with mobility issues should book for first floor. The room was very clean, but dated. Lots of space with more than adequate seating area and a nice refrigerator. We sat outside and enjoyed wine and cheese we had brought along. The view was impressive, and rooms come at a reasonable price, but are not fancy. Easy drive to Digby ferry in the morning. Nice owners.
We rarely stay at a B&B since it can be a little much if you’re introverted, and, they are often not pet friendly. Come From Away met those challenges beautifully! There’s the main house (very traditional B&B) and a separate 2 story building (motel style) with 4-5 units on each level. This is where the pet-friendly rooms are. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the water and harbor. We got food to-go for dinner from the Wheelhouse (yum!!) and ate it on our little porch. There’s off-street parking between the two buildings and a nice grassy area with some chairs and a fire ring overlooking the water. The decor is nautical, bed very comfortable, nice bathroom (although it could use more hooks for clothes and towels), coffee maker, ‘real’ coffee cups, water and wine glasses. Breakfast in the main house was very nice, fresh and filling. It was a comfortable walk into town. Barb and Joe were kind and helpful without being intrusive. We would definitely stay there again! …
