My friends and I booked rooms at Come From Away for a pre-night stay before our whale watching excursion. We were checked in by the owner who was friendly and helpful. At check-in we were asked to select a breakfast time of 7:30am, 8:30am. and 9:30am. We then checked into our rooms which were very clean, and the beds had fam top mattresses so they are very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend Come From Away B&B.

We enjoyed two nights and a day and wish we had stayed longer. Cozy spotless room with easy access to the back lawn and seating for enjoying a book under the shade or watching the stars. Comfy bed with very respectful cleaning service. Nicely and tastefully decorated. Morning breakfast was delicious both days, quiche one day then waffles with a nice sausage and bacon and fruit with yogurt and drinks. Decking outside our room didn't even squeak if someone walked past. Quiet area for the b&b with a view of the harbour, seabirds, clean ocean air, and an amazing view of the tides. We loved the easy walk to restaurants and gift shops. Kayak rentals and clean walking trails to beaches within a 5 minute walk. In a beautiful town with friendly thoughtful people who clearly love their town. Historical plaques about telling both the good and bad sides of history. We hope to return. From Montreal with love.

We stayed one night only (Wed. July 6, 2022), but had I known exactly how wonderful this place is, I would have booked a longer visit. I truly did not want to leave. We did not use the AC in the cleanly appointed room, as we only had to open the window and let in the cool, ocean breezes. We could even hear the surf although we were on the second level. The ocean bay view was spectacular from the upper deck as well as from the chairs and rocks on ground level. I spent my morning (6:00am) worship/Bible reading/journaling time out there, as I watched the glory of nature unfold around me. The food was delicious and filling. Such a gourmet feast for breakfast. I highly recommend this Inn, as Barb and Joe will spoil you and make you not want to leave. I hope to return one day and stay longer. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Room Tip: Choose a room by the ocean outside the main house for a more authentic East Coast feel.

We stayed three nights at the Come From Away and enjoyed every minute of it. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the most comfortable bed in our trip across Canada. I am extremely sensitive to noise and it was so quiet we could have been the only ones in the building, even though the B&B was booked solid.

The staff made the bed, freshened towels, and cleaned the bathroom every day while we were out and about. We saw them cleaning other rooms and they are really hard workers.

Janet and Joe are great hosts. Janet even let me set up a computer in the dining area after breakfast to do some work. Thanks, Janet! Joe make a lovely breakfast each morning and it was a different menu every day, no repeats. (Although I could eat his poached eggs every day of the week!)

The B&B is within walking distance of downtown Digby and the major restaurants. There is a world-class view of the bay from the back lawn of Come From Away with several chairs so guests can enjoy it.

Come From Away B&B is everything I hope a B&B experience will be. Janet and Joe, you rock!

This was my favorite place to stay on our recent vacation in Nova Scotia. They have a total of 10 rooms, for upstairs in the house and six on the waterfront, and what is essentially a revamped Motel. There are three room upstairs and three downstairs. As I have mobility issues, we selected the Captain's Quarters, on the ground floor. The room was lovely and nicely decorated, providing everything we needed. Parking is directly outside the waterfront rooms. There are Adirondack chairs on the lawn facing the water. Sadly, the weather included some pop-up showers during our stay, but the view was still worthy of photos. The owners are very hospitable, providing excellent recommendations for dinner. In the morning, we were treated to breakfast which included crepes, bacon and fresh fruit in the dining room. It was wonderful being served on quality vintage dishes. You are best to reserve directly; you'll get a choice of rooms. Be aware the house is not wheelchair accessible. There are several steps to access the check-in area and have breakfast.

Welcome was warm, and our request to arrive late was accommodated without difficulty. Room was clean and beautifully decorated with lovely artwork. Pretty, comfortable and fresh bedding. Hot breakfast was a scrumptious plate of crepes, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage and yoghurt, with homemade jam. The back lawn on the waterfront was a wonderful spot to eat our picnic dinner. Thanks for a great stay!

Great location in downtown Digby. With ocean frontage, this is more a 2 story motel than a bed and breakfast. Our room I the detached from the house with its private bath was good sized, comfy bed & tv. The owners are friendly and familiar with the area to give local advice. The breakfast could use some improvement but they tried.

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay, we have 4 rooms in the Historic house that are a little more B&B like if that's your preference. Our waterfront rooms are more like an Inn with private entrances. We are sorry the breakfast was not to your tastes, most of our guests rate it quite well.

We spent a night at Come From Away and enjoyed our stay a lot. Arrived early but our host still accommodated us. Breakfast was great along with the company. Plenty of advise when requested.
In the end this is an older B&B but it's character and attention to details makes it enjoyable. Along with the views as it sits right on the harbour. You can watch the ships come in, enjoy a glass on wine on the lawn or even an evening bonfire.

We stayed at this lovely Victorian B&B for 2 nights while on an 11 day vacation with n NS, New Brunswick, and PEI. Room and bathroom were comfortable and it was very quiet . The hosts were wonderfully attentive; we had a delicious and different breakfast the 2 mornings we were there which included homemade crepes the first morning and Eggs Benedict the second morning, both accompanied by fresh fruit ,toast of choice, and a breakfast meat . Would highly recommend if you are in Nova Scotia area.

I would suggest that you don't stay there at all as it is filthy and smelly. There are a lot better choices along the waterfront in Digby.
