We ended up in one of the cabins and enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful place to just relax and let the world go by. My daughter and I were really tired that night and the beds were comfortable and the quiet after a hectic day was wonderful
Stayed just one night- wish we had traveled on for better accommodations. Very stuffy and musty room, bed was very uncomfortable, bathroom fixtures need replacing, shower pressure was a dribble and the ceiling fan noise kept us awake for much of the restless night. Manager Debby was friendly and informative and made suggestions for points of interest and was very honest about the lack of places to eat in the area. Wish the absentee owner would spend some $ on improving the accommodations. The place has a lot of charm and could be really something.
It's an older place so it is bound to smell a little different. But the couch in room one was so musty it affected my wife and myself, scratchy throat sneezing etc and I am sure the carpet didnt help this much. There is nothing around to get food and there is no available way to make food yourself or even make a coffee and the advertised wifi does not work. So if you do choose to come here bring food with you.
the place is charming, lovely character, clean however the room was very musty smelling, had wi fi log in however location was in a dead zone, no connection. Breakfast was good. For the price it was not a good accommodation.
This place was perfect for my weekend road trip. The area is quiet, beautiful, and relaxing, and the people are very friendly. The Inn was quiet and hassle free. I was looking for an old inn in a rural and peaceful place to drive my vintage Lotus sports car to for the weekend and the Olde Village Inn fit the bill perfectly. Debbie and Randy, the Inn manager and care taker were very accommodating. I found some interesting hiking in the area and the Sandy Cove beach is a wonderful spot. The local area is beautiful and geologically & topographically interesting. If you want a peaceful, quiet and interesting get-away spot, this may be your place. Be aware that there are no convenience stores or gas available in the area, so be sure to gather your snacks and supplies in Digby before proceeding to Sandy Cove. Be aware also that there is no air conditioning in the rooms (really not needed in this area) and no TV in the rooms (which suited me perfectly), though there is free wifi. The only gripe is the rather bleak continental breakfast provided, so if you need fruit etc in the morning, bring your own.…
