Supposed to be a pet friendly hotel. I paid 15$/night to have my dogs. 5 hours after checkout they called and said they had to charge 77 extra for pet fees because of dog hair. On the phone they told me it was “per request of the owner” why charge a pet fee if you’re just going to charge more when I leave? Scummy ass money grab.

My Love and I spent last night in suite L. It was amazing: the view the plentiful and comfortable chairs and footstools, the loveseat in front of the fireplace, the elevated private balcony, beautiful flooring, comfortable bed, three huge windows on the harbour and thoughtful tasteful details too numerous to mention. We loved it and can’t wait to return. Today, we will reserve it for an extended stay, next year. It was exceptional value for the money! Thank you for all the considerations and work that went into it, Dayle

Room was large, small fireplace in batroom, fireplace below the large Tv. Great wifi. Comfy bedding. Large walkin-in shower. Room service offered everyday. Balcony overlooking the water. It was quiet during our visit but perhaps might be more livelier in higher tourist season (we were there Sept). 3 restaurants minutes away, things do close up very early. No entertainment when we visited. We enjoyed a day at Westport Brier Is for whale watching (great excursion). Enjoyed a round of golf at area golf course. Leaving area we took the Ferry from Digby to St John NB, saved a few hours of driving, costs about $200. This hotel, the building does not look like much on the outside but the interior is updated & would stay there @gain if in the area.

We stayed in a king harbour view room at the Fundy Complex Dockside Suites for 1-night in late-Sep ($199). Our 2nd floor room, beautifully situated on the water just across from the home harbour of the Digby fishing fleet, was spacious, modern and elegantly finished with subtle neutral tones, wainscoting and wood trim. Its dark wood furnishings included end tables, a desk and chair, a large chest of drawers topped by a large high-definition TV; there was also a leather chair, microwave, Cuisinart bar fridge, coffee maker. The bathroom was also elegant, with a large, trendy glass vanity, walk-in shower and a wall mounted fire-place feature, a unusual but nice touch. The room's most impressive feature, though, was the views – the window and sliding glass doors led onto a wide deck shared only with one other room, a fabulous spot to watch the sun's last rays illuminating the boats across the harbour. The inn's location was right in town, close to everything, but one of the town's best restaurants was right downstairs, so there was no need to travel further. A great option for Digby, and a good base for the whale watching tours just down the Digby Neck.
