Great central location near the train station. Friendly and accommodating. Loved the breakfast. Comfortable bed. Only drawback for some might be the lack of an elevator. I had a noon checkout and 4 pm bus so they kept my luggage for a few hours.

The Waverley Inn was larger than we expected with 3 stories and many rooms. It's very old with high ceilings and wide staircases. No elevator with a very basic breakfast that is provided in the basement. Great location to walk to restaurants in the area. Small window a/c. While pretty basic/not fancy it's good value for the location.

What a beautiful place! We were given a first floor room, as requested. This particular room (101), however, needs a few improvements. The air conditioner is old and LOUD. During the night, it made high pitch noises that even woke us up occasionally. Time to replace it, guys. Also, although the clock in the room was functional, the alarm was... More

Very happy with this choice for a night in Halifax. Enjoyed the old-feel of the building and decor. Free parking. Can easily walk to downtown, waterfront, many restaurants and attractions from here. The room was a bit small, but totally fine for the 2 of us. A better breakfast was offered than what I expected. Friendly staff. A nice touch... More

I stayed at the Waverley with a friend of mine who is elderly. We spent 2 nights at this lovely inn and I cannot say enough great things about it. We had a beautiful room with 2 full size 4 poster beds, beautiful antique furniture throughout the room and the entire inn. Every member of the staff was so kind... More

We stayed at the Waverly Inn during the prime time travel season in August 2016. The accommodations were beautifully ornate, comfortable and accommodating and the Inn is located very proximal to the water and major attractions along the waterfront. The staff was very informative and helpful in providing restaurant recommendations and directions. Be aware that there is no elevator in... More

We had an enjoyable stay at the Waverly Inn, including a comfortable bed, clean bathroom and decent breakfast. It is an old building with uneven floors, but seemingly in a well-kept condition. The inn houses 34 guest rooms; not at all a traditional B&B in our experience. Our room was on the third floor facing the street. There is no... More

Great location...within walking distance to water General repairs needed. Some furniture, while old and period , was unusable. Avoid room 103.....maids station is right outside door....running water at 8am. Piles of dirty sheets by door....get a cart.

Very comfortable and extremely nice looking Inn. The room was quiet small but just what we needed with AC and a nice whirlpool Jacuzzi tub. Only stayed one night but will definitely be returning here again.

We stayed for two nights. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast had a great selection, and the staff was friendly. At the free breakfast we had a selection of boiled eggs, ham, beans, different kinds of cereals, variety of fruit, and bread products. They had coffee, tea, and snacks available all day. Tt is a...
