WE stayed one night on our way to PEI and enjoyed the lodgings immensely! We will most definitely stay at the Lord Nelson when in Halifax again.

Hotel's Favourite
We had a great stay at the Lord Nelson. The location is excellent, close to Dalhousie University, restaurants, shopping, and the Public Gardens. The rooms are modern and clean. The aetvice is friendly, and the Arms Pub is very good!

Told the front desk I was extending my room and each time I would come back after a long day at the hospital caring for a loved one I couldn’t get into my room. Was told the hospital was covering my room for a night by the front desk staff, this was not the case when I checked out, when I questioned this I was very rudely addressed by a male staff member that the hospital never does this. Then why did the other staff member tell me it was! Horrible service

I enjoyed my time at the Lord Nelson. My petite room was just perfect for one guest, and I spent a lot of time in it because the weather was foggy and rainy. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the layout was really good. Meals at The Arts were excellent.

We enjoyed our stay here. Easy walking distance to many venues including the Scotia Bank Centre. This is an old property with a lot of history. If you want a modern hotel, go elsewhere. However if you enjoy imagining the people who have walked the halls then this place is for you. Food was great, bed comfortable, staff friendly.

Right near downtown and a very pleasant view of the park. I enjoyed a spacious suite with a good work area. Very quiet room and just what I was looking for. Nice to see a hotel which still offers complimentary newspapers.

We stayed for two nights to get our pictures taking at the stunning location. Our room was upgraded to a suite for free. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The common areas are stunning and the restaurant was newly renovated.

I needed a room for one night so I treated myself to this historic jewel in downtown Halifax. The room and bathroom were beautiful and the towels and bed linens excellent quality. There was no noticeable ambient sound from the hallway which allowed me to have a really good sleep.

A beautiful site made more attractive by the elegant decor and attention to detail. Warm, welcoming staff, ever ready to assist and explain, for example, the complexities of the parking garage for two novices.

I travelled to the City for medical and social reasons. The Lord Nelson makes me feel very cozy and safe. Staff speak to you as soon as they spot you. I love the doorman, the beautiful chandeliers, the gold , wood finishes and just the elegance.
