The Lord Nelson Hotel is a very nice stay and also centrally located in Halifax. We walked everywhere (Waterfront, Citadel and so much shopping) and felt safe. One concierge , Ryan, stood out above the rest. He has an award winning smile and such a welcoming attitude. We really enjoyed his knowledge of the area and his recommendations. Our room... More

We decided a few months ago to book a hotel room so we could enjoy the Pride Festival without worrying about parking, taxis, bridge closures and who would be the designated driver. We decided on the Lord Nelson due to its great location right downtown and also because we had heard good things about it. We already new the "Arms"... More

We were at this hotel attending my cousins wedding and the service they had received was terrible from flower delivery being misplaced to a table collapsing on two small children. Thankfully they were not seriously injured. Some of the hotel staff were very rude. After my wife and I paying for $176.00 for our room it was no way worth... More

Amazing suites and amenities are just a small part of this hotels charm. The staff are what really what makes the experience here enjoyable. The suite was absolutely perfect for this business trip, allowing us to spread out and still enjoy a bit of space. Checking in with Elsbeth at the front desk and being greeted by the ever courteous... More

Large hotel near the citadel about 15 minute walk from the harbour and good base for seeing downtown Halifax. Efficient and helpful reception staff and porters. Big bedroom overlooking pretty awful rear of adjacent building with large air conditioning units. Downside was that we could not have window open particularly as room air conditioning was very noisy. Two double beds,... More

A major fitness show was taking place and the hotel was full. Still the staff were exceptional - clam, polite, helpful from the front door, to check-in, to the restaurant to check out. Sarita is a fabulous ambassador for the Hotel and Halifax.
