We stayed there for 7 weeks and the staff is extremely friendly especially Yvonne and Georgia one of the owners. They make you feel at home and will try to do what ever they can to make you feel welcome. Our only issue was the restaurant and the menu didn't have much of a variety to chose from, just 2 eggs and bacon and toast and home fries I would have been happy to pay 6,99 or 7.50 if there was enough on the plate. My husband ordered fish and mashed potatoes one night for over 15,00 and he got 2 small dried out scoops of potato and 2 small, and I mean small pieces of battered fish that were not worth cooking up little lone serve to anyone. The only meal that was worth the money was the ribs. they came with soup , caesar salad, fries and coleslaw and the ribs were big and tasty. My suggestion is serve some meals that have a different lower price that people can afford in this time of uncertainty. the specials they post are all for the same price, make some different price selections and they may get more people coming to eat. Good luck and stay safe.

Clean room that comes with a fridge and coffee maker. The staff was so friendly and made sure my stay was comfortable. There is also a restaurant on site which is great when after a long drive you just want to stay in!

We booked our room 8-10 months in advance, said we wanted a non-smoking executive room on the ground floor for medical reasons. We were assured it would be no problem, everything would be taken care of. However when we arrived it was after midnight and found out that our room was indeed on the second floor, told there were no executive suites left on the ground floor. So they put us in a smoking room on the main floor with one double bed, which was extremely uncomfortable. For one neither my husband and I smoke and that's all you could smell, we only brought absolutely what was necessary into the room didn't want everything smelling of smoke. When we woke up in the morning our chest were very from the smell, seems they should be able to air it out a bit better then that. The next morning we talked to the front desk on our way to breakfast, they had a family checking out and had the maids clean the room first thing. So by the time we finished our breakfast our new room was ready to move into. The restaurant at the hotel is good, the food is tasty and the prices and reasonable. We chose this motel over the other chain hotels cause we were they for a wedding and it was the closest and central to the different places we needed to be with the family. But decided not to stay with the family since we were on our honeymoon still and wanted a but of privacy as well. Next year we'll stay in one of the bigger chain hotels, event though there further away from the events, be less hassle and I don't think the beds could be more uncomfortable, Chebucto beds are pretty hard. The Wi-Fi didn't work so great, in our room it worked only about half the time and was very slow.

Booked a week but left early. Toilet flooded leaving bathtub and floor covered in sewage water. When elderly and disabled mother asked to be moved to another room she was told to “f off” by manager. Finally was given another room after she threatened to call authorities. Workmen cleaned sewage water by dumping it in the parking lot and smoking area. Evidence of narcotics use present around building. Avoid this place. Rude staff and unsafe conditions.

One weekend after a couple above my Metcap managed apt. were making excessive noise i had to get away for some peice & quiet. I decided to go to the Chebucto Inn. Have stayed there numerous times in the past. Mostly friendly staff & food is okay. So that evening I picked up some food in their restaurant. The following event happened prior to date shown. Posting to make sure other people are on guard as to what can happen in Halifax. On the way back to my room there were three middle aged Caucasian men blocking my walkway & they immediately surrounded me. Almost lost my food & we excanged some words. I am a senior & it was a terrifying moment for myself. Never slept that night & never will go to near the Chebucto Inn ever again.

At 11 pm, someone tried to open our deadbolted door. About 15 minutes later, the front desk clerk opened the door with a master key. My elderly mother and I were in our nighties! He apologized; there was a room mix-up. In the morning a workman tried to take the door off its hinges while we were still in the room! The air conditioner was so loud we couldn't have it on. On a positive note, the room was clean, staff helpful and they took $10 off the bill for all our trouble. The restaurant served us an excellent supper and breakfast.

This hotel has a good location to access downtown but is way overpriced for what you get. No microwave, no coffee maker, breakfast available for pay. Rooms are small with double bed not queen. Overall a cheaper motel that charges prices comparable to much nicer motels.

So we check in we pay our room on cash (cash deposit is allowed) rooms are alright clean. Housekeeping is very well mannered and very nice. We both work night shifts and sleep during the day, so we like to pay room during the night. Jobs are very spontaneous and we go to different locations on short notice. So the manager tells us we can't pay it during the night and won't allow us to pay it at night and book it. Being that we have to pay between 7-11 it cuts into our sleeping schedule and we both work from 5 pm until 3am. She also says that if we don't get the room cleaned regularly we won't be able to stay at the hotel! She also was being body asking why we were here and being completely rude to the both of us. We were quiet never damaged the room and did not deserve the treatment we got from the management.

We have stayed at this location more than a few times and find that it is good value for the price. Right away, updates to rooms were noticed and the staff is as friendly and helpful as ever. As mentioned by others, the attached restaurant never disappoints. There is a great selection on the menu, food is very good and the value for the cost of a meal is the best I have seen in the city. Really, a hidden gem of an eating place.

You would need to call the reception to inquire. But it’s about 20 minutes drive to the airport. The staff is very nice.
