Detailed Reviews
We stayed for one night a couple of nights ago with our 11 month old son. The hotel provided a crib with mattress and sheets for him for the night. Check in was easy and the staff member who helped us was polite, friendly, and very welcoming. It was also quick, which was a plus.
Parking is great, and secure. Underground and operated by a pass code or opened by the front desk after speaking through a speaker. We felt very safe there. $25 a day/night with being able to come and go as you please was very good.
The room was clean, although extremely outdated. Towels were fluffy and fresh.
The room was across from the elevators, and it was not the noise that bothered us, but the smell of pot drifting in from under the door at night. We had to shove some towels in the crack to try to block out the smell. Not the hotels fault, but was not pleasant.
Checkout was just as easy and quick as check in, if not quicker. Great location, about a 2-3 minute drive to the Market/Waterfront and close to many great restaurants and bars. The hotel provided a $10 voucher for each guest for Cabin Coffee right next door for breakfast. It's a local coffee place with delicious baked goods and strong, hot coffee! A very nice perk!

I stayed at the 4 Points Sheridan this Sunday past. Check in aws great. I booked my space through hotels.com that day and had no issues. The gentleman at reception was great.
After checking into my room I decided to check out the hot tub. I would recommend not doing this. About an inch above the water level there was a line of grossness, dead skin cells and dirt all the way around. It made my stomach churn...since i didn't notice of course until I was in the tub. I didn't last long. Then there were no towels in the swimming area and I had to drip wetly into the fitness area in my swimsuit to get a towel. Less than ideal.
Flash forward to getting ready for bed. My bed didn't have a fitted sheet. Just a VERY think flat sheet that was so worn, I could see through to the mattress pad below it. The hotel is also rather loud. They very graciously offered ear plugs which I took advantage after an unfortunate accident in the hall where it sounded like all the dishes in someone's kitchen hit the floor.
The next day, check out was a breeze and I had forgotten my parking code to get out of the underground parking. Again, the staff was great for helping me to get out.
I've stayed here in the past and at the time I remember thinking, wow this place is swanky. Now I think it's mainly tired and needs some love to justify the prices it's asking for.

Had a lovely stay at Four Points Sheraton. Ryan at Front Desk was very helpful and accommodated our requests so that we could enjoy a socially distanced Thanksgiving dinner in our lovely King room. We had a partial view of the harbour. Very comfortable and clean. Parking on same floor as lobby, so very convenient. Easy walking to shops and restaurants and next door to the fabulous Cabin Coffee! We’ll be back!

The rooms are not bad for this price range and the location is very central to any place you would want to walk to in downtown Halifax. However, there were several annoyances /disappointments about this hotel. Approx. half of the rooms face an 4-walled, open air courtyard that has been turned into a sports bar. The rooms are not soundproofed so you have no choice but to listen to the loud noise from the bar until at least 11::30pm. There was only 1 of 2 elevators working, With social distancing very awkward when there is only one working elevator, many guests chose to use the stairs. Thankfully is it only a 6 story hotel. There are no glasses in the rooms (you have to request them), and overall the rooms seem underequipped. Guests can't expect everything ng to be normal in the times of Covid, but you should be able to expect a quite room that you can get to safely. If you do stay at this hotel, ask for a room facing the water. Hopefully it is quieter.

Mobey we are very sorry for this negative experience. The Courtyard patio beer garden is something we had to try this year to help our local restaurant. There has been some balancing to ensure it's not too loud for guests. While most nights it has not been an issue this weekend proved different. We will address this with the owners to ensure noise is better managed on a go forward. For the in rooms cups you are correct we had these all removed do to covid. We are beginning to re introduce coffee stations, and cups to the rooms in the next few weeks. Just need to ensure it is the correct setup and all per-wrapped. It has been challenging to find. Again, we are truly sorry for this experience. It is not the levels of service we are known for or capable of providing. With hospitality, Dave

+1
My room was adequate and quiet (surprisingly, as it faced a busy city street). So if an adequate room is enough, then this hotel is for you. I would not recommend it for the following reasons: (1) It’s dated and dreary. I’ll post photos of the nondescript lobby. (2) Two tiny elevators, with one usually out of service. Most guests tried to be respectful of others’ space, but that meant long waits. (3) No food service. No breakfast, not even coffee. (4) And most of all…the parking ramp is a nightmare. While I don’t expect them to redesign it to make fewer dead ends and add better lighting, they could at least have decent signage and clean up the trash. Parking spaces are at a premium, but the garage is cluttered with heaps of laundry and discarded hotel furniture. Sheraton seems to have given up on this property and maybe it’s too far gone now to be renovated.

My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel for one night and I would never stay at this hotel again. We’ve stayed at a quite a few hotels now around the city and you can get something much nicer for cheaper. I can excuse the “old feel” of the hotel because renovations could be done but it is what it is. What I can’t excuse is the poor service at the front desk during check in. They swiped my credit card without telling me they were charging me for anything (I had prepaid the room - they didn’t tell me I was paying for a deposit). The room had some kind of fluid stain on the bed skirt, AC was noisy which didn’t bother me but I can see how it would bother others. The loud partiers were a bit much though. If you were a smoker there were no places to smoke except outside on the busy streets. Just not a nice relaxing place to stay if that’s what you’re looking for! The only reason it’s getting 1 star is because Niche restaurant attached to it was amazing.

Very disappointed - our room was very dirty. When we went to get into our bed, we found blood on the sheets. The person at the front desk came up right away with clean ones, and was very apologetic.
In the morning once we opened the curtains in the main living area, we found dirt and what looked to be kitty litter all over the couch and floor. We looked around the room and realized nothing had been cleaned (dust covered everything). The bathroom appeared to be the only room that had been cleaned.
We didn't thoroughly look through the room upon arrival as we had an appointment and didn't get back to our room until night. If we had, we would have requested another room.
The only reason I didn't rate the hotel as 'Poor' is because the staff were great, and very apologetic about the state of the room.

We had a bad experience at check in, our connecting room request wasn’t honoured and one of the rooms we were given smelled of cigarette smoke. Ideally this wouldn’t have happened, but I was very impressed with how the manager and staff responded. They compensated us for that first night, fixed the rooms for the rest of the stay, and every single staff member was super friendly. They really turned it around, which I appreciate.
The bed was comfortable, lots of space in the room, but it’s getting to the age where it needs a bit of a refresh. The internet was also struggling a bit while we were there, it slowed down quite a bit at night.
Parking is one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. We were traveling with a Thule roof carrier, which doesn’t fit in most parking garages. The Four Points garage has one level with extra high ceilings that can accommodate tall vehicles. Spaces aren’t guaranteed, but we were able to get a spot every night even when the hotel was sold out.

I've stayed at several Four Points and usually they are nice and clean. This place is tired, it's clearly a very high traffic property and it's worn-out! The whole place didn't feel very clean. The guestroom we had felt grimy and in need of a refurbish, the couch did not need a cleaning, just replace it, please pull that thing to the curb. The bathroom also had some black mold in the grout around the tub. The whole experience was just "ick". The underground parking was very dark and dirty, a horror movie could be filmed there! Most of the time only 1 elevator was working and it sounded quite "rickety" as well. We had a good deal, but if the price would've been 200$ per night like I've seen before for this hotel, I would've been quite unhappy. On the positive side of things, I must say that the staff was friendly and fairly efficient, so there's that. I don't plan on returning, there's too many nice hotels in Halifax. They need to renovate this place ASAP. Maybe it works for some people but not for me. Back to the Westin I guess. ;)

No need. we do have pay parking on site and underground
Yes. Ask and thou shall receive!
The airport is about 30 minutes away. When I looked into it I just decide to rent a small car.
I stayed there last October. No the hotel parking is not free. Keep in mind that this is right downtown where parking has high demand. Parking will run around $20/24 hrs., or overnight. The street parking is free, but around the hotel it is maximum 2 hours. Overnight on the street is okay on weekends, but good luck in finding a spot. Very high demand for a limited number of spaces.
