The location is great, close to Harbor, good restaurants. Be sure to eat at Liz Bistro, Mcelveys and Henry's, all good food and ambiance Rooms ok, not large, no desk, wicker chairs No coffee until 830 but Starbucks and another coffee place 2 blocks away. Joan was tired when we arrived and very rude, rude again at breakfast So we...

We spent 2 days there in July and we were very happy to have picked it as our B&B in Halifax. We stayed with our toddler and were well greeted by Joan, the owner. She is very friendly and always smiling. The breakfast was good and we had everything we needed to make our stay a very nice one. I...

We stayed with Joan on July 20 when we arrived in Halifax. A nice home that could accommodate the 3 adults travelling in our group in the 3rd floor loft. There was one double bed and a pull out couch that was very comfortable. Joan was very social and treated us well. Breakfast included back bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, fruit...

We loved the location of this B&B. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The house is gorgeous. We loved sitting out on the veranda after a long day of touring. The only downfall was our bed was very squeeky but very comfortable. Joan, the proprietor, was helpful with suggestions for sights and restaurants. She was very...

My experience interacting with this B&B is limited to the reservation/cancellation phase. After making a phone reservation in March 2015, in early July I had to cancel my Sept 2015 reservation due to a health crisis. This represented more than the required 48 hrs cancellation notice. Multiple refund requests were made by email and phone (when she rudely hung up...

All I can do is make a list .... 1. We were made to walk to a bank in order to pay cash up front to the owner. She couldn't even wait until we came back from dinner because she was broke. 2. She leaves the front door open until very late which did not make me feel safe. 3....

We needed to stay a night in halifax and booked this B&B in the last minute. It offers a great price for staying in downtown halifax. The room is OK but the private bathroom are outside of the room. The breakfast was also good. If you need a place to stay for a night its an option. The host loves...

My husband and I have visited many B&Bs all over the world. I can honestly say we have never encountered a more rude proprietor. The sign in the room says that breakfast is served "8: 30 ish". We showed up at 8:25 and she complained that we were early. When a fellow guest asked if we could have toast with...

We cannot speak to the quality of the B&B because unfortunately, for health reasons, we could not travel. However, beware of placing a deposit with this establishment. Despite their promise to reimburse before a specified deadline, they do not do so.
