Nice place to live during vacation and spend time with families. Good view and you could boating there. Or even just stay outside is good way to relax. I go with “wild group” , a very professional travel group.
Wonderful stay for us over the last weekend, friendly staff and food was unexpectedly good. The room was larger than other resort we had stay in the past. Highly recommended for people going with kids.
Nice hotel, great location get a room overlooking the lake, breakfast was fine but a little overpriced, if you have a balcony room overlooking the lake you will enjoy it, easy access to downtown huntsville.
Stayed here because they accept pets. My dog is well behaved and a seasoned traveler, unfortunately not the one next door. Owners left it alone for an hour and it barked constantly. The walls and adjacent door are very thin so it sounded like he was in our room. When owners returned he stopped barking but i could hear every word they were saying. In the morning I turned on the light to the bathroom and silverfish scurried about. Only 1 night and got out of there before the sun came up. Would not return.
We had booked our Hidden Valley resort stay after cancelling our camping trip. It was a last minute decision, we read no reviews, and they only had one pet friendly room available. We were desperate to get away before back to school and said we'll make the best of it. We arrived early with full intention of waiting for our room. The lady behind the reservation desk was friendly and nice. She checked us in so that we could use the amenities (canoe, kayak, paddle boards...). We included breakfast in our package. It was nice eating on the patio and indoors. French toast was amazing!!!!! We also had their omelettes - very good as well. The room we received was great, #317. It had a balcony, view of the parking lot. No issues there. Two queen beds, clean washroom, mini fridge, & tv. Because of Covid, no housekeeping was allowed for the duration of the stay. If we need anything, extra toilet paper or towels, we asked and it was brought up. Great service! Our puppy had a great time on the dock watching people fishing, he went on peddle boats, canoes and kayaks. The only place he was not allowed was on the beach sand. Totally understandable. He sat on the beach chairs with us and soaked up some sun as well. We took morning and evening walks up the ski hills across the street. We definitely recommend this resort. Staff was always friendly and polite. It's a small resort with a lot of charm. It's also close to town. There you'll find great local restaurants Family Place, Local Kitchen, a Winners, and of course Starbucks. Would definitely return.…
