The main inn needs renovations - bathroom had mould in the shower, dirty carpets and no hangers. Very dark and gloomy. The front desk staff didn’t inform us of much upon check in and when asked questions we received a lot of “I don’t know”. Overpriced for what you receive.
Very disappointing experience Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. The pool area and the change rooms were smelly and filthy. No shaded areas by the pool or the so called ‘lake’. Customer service was not efficient.
While the staff was very helpful and pleasant the hotel rooms were tired and not maintained. The carpeting was stained and the room smelled of cigarette smoke. The shower was ringed with mold. It wouldn’t be hard to bring the facility up to parr . The setting was beautiful.
Beds are too old. (Unbalanced if two sit on one end of the bed. Missing Disposable hotel toiletries. Service was good. And family vibe made it very enjoyable. Kind pricy. There are flies inside the hotel.
We chose to com to Horseshoe because we visited in 2019 with our three year old daughter and had a wonderful time. I have to say that this time around, I was sorely disappointed. I now have a 6 year old and 2 year old and we were so bored and frustrated that we left early. You advertise yourselves as a "resort" with slopeside activities, so when I book a stay at a resort, I expect there to be activities to do. Everything was an additional charge except for use of the pool and the small lake. When we came in 2019, we were able to ride the lift and we brought a picnic to the top of the hill, we played a few rounds of mini golf, and there were lawn games and inflatables for the kids. I was upset to find out that lift tickets were $20 per person, per day. So for my small kids to take a ride up the lift it would have cost us $80. Mini golf is now also an additional charge. Needless to say I was not impressed. I have told many of my friends and family about Horseshoe Valley and the great time we had there. It WAS a great place to get away with your kids for a few days where you could take them for a couple of nights without the risk of being too far from home. I paid over $1000 to essentially use an overly chlorinated pool and play in a playground. …
For $300 a night there was mould in the shower, the toilet ran all night, the duvet wasn't even in a proper cover but rather sandwiched in between 2 flat sheets, and the bed was squeaky. only thing I enjoyed was 1 of the pillows on the bed that was actually down filled and comfortable. The other 5 pillows were bricks.
Looks tired Staff were friendly Uncomfortable beds Great staff at restaurants Location is ideal for access to Vetta Nordic Spa. Staff is what made experience enjoyable and reason for return - value for room product wSnt there
Great place to stay for couples or families. Lots of fun things to do. Room was nice and I love the big tub and seperate shower. A few dated things. Staff was excellent. I love that there was a live band playing at the restaurant Crazy Horse.
Great golf course, great facilities! The stay and play package was very well priced. We enjoyed dinner in the deck, overlooking the action at the bottom of the slopes. A great time in a superb area of the province.
Being seniors, this is certainly not a place to visit. Walking was quite difficult, all uphill. Very few places to relax and enjoy the sun. You could only sit at the patios if you were buying food and drinks which were quite expensive. This resort is geared to children and young adults certainly not conducive to seniors.
