At the Travelodge By Wyndham Barrie, guests' opinions on comfort and cleanliness diverge, with some finding the rooms to be tidy and of good value, while others have encountered dirtiness and a lack of amenities. Although the hotel is appreciated for its cozy beds and satisfactory breakfast, the state of the pool and a shortage of linens have been points of contention. Service quality seems to be hit-or-miss, with instances of both commendable assistance and disappointing neglect. While value perceptions vary, the updated rooms receive particular praise.

Clearly under Reno's but everything was dirty. The rooms have laminate so take slippers the floors are freezing. Can't tell you where to get breakfast no one told us. Also don't listen to the booking center. Call the actual hotel for the real answers/price

We just stayed here one night to break up a 9 hour drive to London. I appreciated how close to the 400 it was and nearby restaurants. It was under renovation in some areas that we had to walk through, but nothing dangerous. We stayed on a Saturday, so that’s probably why. The room was ok. Beds comfortable. Bathroom huge compared to most. Shower would've been great except most of the water holes were clogged up on the shower head. We had a ground level room and were able to park right out front.

The hotel is under construction; you can see dirty and stained carpets. Cleaning in the room is deficient, artifacts are old, the air conditioning is rusty and noisy. The towel rail fell several times. The doors are in terrible condition.
We slept there for three nights; when I asked for cleaning service, they denied me saying they wouldn't expose their employees (you know COVID policies and procedures). The breakfast was deficient too, only a cereal bar, a pot of fruit (Dole) and juice. All this experience costs $215 + taxes per night. It was costly, considering the poor conditions and the service that this place provides to its guests.
Unfortunately, this weekend Barrie was packed, and it was the only place with availability. However, we could survive, we left the hotel early in the morning, returning late at night just to sleep.
I wouldn't recommend anyone this hotel.

We stayed for 6 nights here last week. Fab little hotel, we were so surprised. The staff were great and so helpful and polite. Room was clean and very comfy, yes could do with a bit of updating but for the price we were thrilled. The fridge and microwave were a great bonus. The shower was powerful and hot, towels clean and fluffy. The breakfast was unexpected and great. Ok limited choice but for free it was cooked great and tasty. The location was excellent, esp when the snow storm hit and we didn’t want to drive, there is loads of places to visit on foot - food, shopping and entertainment. The pool was a great extra. It was warm and clean. Loads of towels, ok, again a lick of paint wouldn’t go amiss but a great little extra for us. With the free parking and WiFi I would highly recommend this little gem for anyone’s base.

We arrived late Friday night only to find out our room was gone, or given away. The 4 of us had to sleep on a king bed with only 2 pillows. The floors were dirty, the maid had a hissy fit when I asked her to clean the floors, she sprayed the broom with something and wiped the floor. I actually went to the dollar store to buy a mop to wash the floors. This hotel was nicer when my family and I stayed here a few years back which is why I returned. They should have advise their customers that they are renovating prior to booking.

The hotel is very unclean and dirty.. The staff is little arrogant. They charged us extra without even letting us know about the charges.. Beware when you share your credit cards with them. The hotel is under construction and sinks are blocked, air conditioners dont work, ice vending machines are broken, carpets are dirty and on top of all this they dont even mention that hotel is under contruction before booking it over phone. We paid $285 dollar per night for hotel under contruction. Can you believe it. Once we reached in the rooms, we realized the hotel was under construction. Had we known it we would have stayed somewhere else. And on top of it ,they charged extra on our cards without even discussing with us. So, think twice before sharing your credit cards with them.

If I wanted to clean up after people Id be a maid. Nothing in the room was clean. There were pubes in the tub, hair on the pillows, garbage everywhere. The floors were sticky for some reason so I felt uncomfortable being barefoot. They’re definitely 100% understaffed. It took over an hour to get my room key, only one person was working the front desk and she wasn’t very polite (probably from being understaffed and overworked). the entire time I was there I saw more bags filled with garbage then hotel staff. Garbage stayed inside instead of being thrown out so it stunk the entire hallway. The shampoo and conditioner they provided were watered down (the shampoo didn’t lather). So bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap. The ONLY good thing about the hotel is that it’s close to everything and cheap. Everything else is stressful, gross and disorganized. I’d recommend this place to my enemies.

The Travelodge was a pleasant surprise! It is within walking distance of some nice restaurants. The price was very economical and the breakfast was terrific with a wide variety of things to eat for breakfast (even if you are not much of a breakfast eater)! The Staff were polite and friendly. The room was clean and neat.

Located on bayfield road the hub of barrie the travelodge serves as my home while I work in barrie. I have been staying there for 15 years. I now all the staff by name and they now ne by name. The staff are outstamding friendly knowledgeable and efficient the rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is good the orange juice delicious. Close to what is happening in barrie I can walk most everywhere I need to go. The price of the stay is totally worth staying in this hotel. Kudos to the staff as they always make my stay a wonderful experience.

Our pool will be in working order. We no longer have a hot tub as it was closed almost 2 years ago.
