Stayed here 1 night and the biggest positive is the bed. Very comfy! But, I need to be honest about cleanliness the way some other reviews were. It was evident that the sweep/vacuum was done very quickly and not entirely. Dirt, hair (lots). The shower, if cleaned, was done quickly/poorly. Dried shampoo/conditioner on the walls from previous people, hair, dirt around the ledges. Something that can be easily done with a cleaning brush. Rooms are clearly not maintained when it comes to basics such as caulking in shower, paint, baseboards.. which is not a big deal but if you consider their daily rate, its excessive for the type of property they maintain. I've stayed in cheaper hotels that were much much cleaner and well taken care of.

Kind of a disappointment. We had stayed at the Fairfield nearby a couple time and thought we’d try this o e. Well it won’t happen again. Starting with the unenergetic front desk person who could care less that we were there to the evening crew that really didn’t want to put there phones down to deal with us Room was nice Went to pool and had to go back to front desk to sign for towels and again no enthusiasm from any of the staff. Underwhelmed...Not sure how to write this review. They did upgrade me (Platinum member) but room was kinda sparse and lacking. Not bad, but just underwhelming. Do miss having a free breakfast (was offered some confusing choice of upgrade or breakfast for 1 or breakfast discount for 2--couldn't really understand the front desk clerk)
Room was quiet (important to me). Mediocre pillows (note: to mgmt. stay at a HIX and use their pillows as reference point.)
Check-out experience was uneventful and smooth.

As a professional Hospitality Manager, it was a pleasure to review the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Barrie Ontario. Front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. Booking dot com reserve even numbers facing Rona and Zehrs. While the best views are on the odd numbers like #303 with a breath taking view of the wildlife in the ravine with Japanese Cherry Orchid blossoms out in May 1st. The spacious lobby with seating on comfortable couches is cosy. The restaurant breakfast and Dinner areas are able to accommodate 60 people including the Bar area. The swimming pool is 40' by 20' and if a temp above 75° is desired, please ask front desk. The large Hot tub can have 12 people and is 102° so take breaks after 5 minutes. The large Queen beds were plush Sealy posterpiedic. Three face cloth, two hand towels, two large bath towels and one tub mat were brand name " Textile " made in USA. Four pillows from soft to medium for each. Keep in mind there is only one elevator though we did take the stairs most times.

My family and I chose to stay here to break up our drive up North. This was the first time we have stayed in a hotel since the pandemic and we were a bit nervous but this hotel advertised advance cleaning measures were in place. When arrived at our room there was popcorn on the floor and another persons clothes in the dresser. We called the front desk and they just took the clothes but didn’t offer us a different room. We were going to ignore it but then we opened the fridge and there was half eaten cheesecake and cold meats. We called again to request a refund and they wouldn’t give us one, they told us to “go out for dinner and they would get us a different room” they also proceeded to tell us that all of their housecleaning called in sick that day. So I imagine the room wasn’t cleaned at all. We went out for dinner and didn’t come back. We didn’t feel valued as a customer. The reception was extremely rude to us.

If something like this occurred a mistake could have been made where you were checked in to a room that had not been cleaned at all. I usually stay next door but unfortunately they were full booked. To start, our room wasn’t ready (after 3) when we arrived, desk clerk had trouble finding our reservation. The room wasn’t great (base of toilet leaked) and the sheets didn’t fit the bed….I think they used king sheets on a queen bed so the sheets kept coming off. I felt bad for housekeeping (the one girl we saw was still cleaning @9 pm) not sure if she was the only housekeeper! We were asked upon arrival if we wanted a breakfast bag or the next morning we said, no (all the restaurants in Barrie were open so I do not understand why the kitchen sitting area was closed) guess they are trying to save money. Do not change your mind about having a breakfast bag the next morning….apparently you have to make up your mind when you check in….so we left….no breakfast bag! For $210 a night (tax included) it wasn’t anything special! It was my first & last time staying there!

Dear guest, we are sorry to see your room was not done on time and you felt you didn’t get value for your money. That’s a frustrating feeling and we understand that the sheet should have been correct and toilet not leak. I hope you reported it so it could be rectified. However to assume we only have 1 staff member is presumptuous. We have staff on hand in the evening to help rectify some of the issues you had, had they been reported to us. We hope travellers understand that the safest way for them and us is to have breakfast in the comfort of their rooms during these times. Our restaurant is small and to safely distance everyone from each other in a lobby restaurant open to the public is not possible at the moment with the restrictions in place by the provincial government.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in March of 2023. The day we checked out we realized that we left some personal belongings in the hotel room, I called the hotel that same day to see if they could locate and hold the items for us, we were informed that we would receive a call back after they checked with the cleaning staff. After the day passed with no return call, i called again the following day, again I was told they would check with the cleaning staff and return my call, this time they returned the call to inform us that the items can't be found. So it appears that the staff have claimed our personal belongings as their own (only a few hours after we checked out of the room), it's apparent that they can't be trusted.

We are truly sorry you lost your items. However to call us thieves is not nice. We looked everywhere for this item and it was not in room. Perhaps it was lost somewhere else? We have seen this review on all sites. None of the staff would risk their job to take anything for one and secondly in all the years we have operated we have never had incidents of theft.

this property was a bit more expensive than other options but it was also much nicer than other ones i considered. the room was much larger than average and the place was nice and clean. there wasnt many other guests at the time so there was no noise or parking problems, didnt even encounter another guest in the elevator during my stay at this hotel. The location was good for me but depending on what brings you to the barrie area it might not be ideal for some others, make sure you check the map before you book. overall i would highly recommend this hotel unless you are on a budget and looking for a cheapo hotel, then this isnt the place for you. I liked it and give it a recommendation and 5 stars.

The dining room not open, breakfast came in a paper bag for take-out, the rooms have paper-thin walls so you can hear everything from the next room. Our neighbours in next room partied and carried on until 1:00AM. We had banged up furniture in the bedroom and the decor was sparse, and cold . We got a "seniors discount" but it was a lousy stay for the price. It was much like staying in a cheap roadside motel, but it cost nearly $200!! for one night.
