We booked the Lady Katherine suite and the Lady Claire suite for my daughter's wedding on the hottest weekend of the summer!. The Lady Claire was cute and served our purpose well.. it has a lovely bed and ensuite washroom. The Lady Katherine suite was lovely, it allowed the girls to get ready for the wedding and we practically had the entire B and B to ourselves
even though it was fully booked. On Saturday after we left the concierge came and tidied up the room and got it ready for the Bride and Groom. The ac can be a bit noisy at times....But what really stand out is the charming hospitality of Lise. She is right there to take care of your every need and desire no matter what it is! The food is wonderful ( and more than ample) and presentation is great. We were able to get some great photos of before the wedding, much better than a hotel would have been. There was enough room in the house that the girls were able to sit and have some 'alone time'. The location is very central and parking for all! Thank you.

An exceptional B&B, owned and operated by Lise, was comfortable, clean and convenient. Breakfast, prepared by chef Cathy, was amazing and accommodated my special dietary needs. Lise ensured our 2 night stay was the best experience possible.

We were quite taken aback by this B & B!! We originally wanted the room with the ensuite bath but since it was undergoing renovations, we were upgraded to a delightful king suite. The entire establishment was gorgeous!!! This owner has great taste in decor and knows how to treat her guests. She was very flexible and accommodating and we really appreciated her kindness. The suite was stunning. It had a wash basin conveniently located in the suite (cold water only) and there was use of a shared bathroom which did not bother us at all like we originally thought it would. The place was very quiet and we had a very nice sleep. The BED, ohhhh the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever experienced. The entire place was VERY VERY clean and the breakfast was superb. The chef did a splendid job with the quiche and there was definitely plenty of food. You did not leave hungry!!! The care taken to serve the guests was impressive!!! the only thing I couldn't find was a hairdryer but I could have just asked and Im sure there was one there somewhere. Overall, the place is a gem.

There's clearly some disconnect between our experience and the positive reviews here. I sent this note to the inn post-trip, but after 4 days have received no response so am posting here: Now that our vacation is over, I would like to express our great disappointment with our stay at St. John's Inn and B&B. I appreciated the envelope left with the key, as it didn't tie us to a specific arrival time. However, as is customary in B&Bs, we did expect to see someone at some point before the morning to let us know what was where, how things 'worked' in the house, etc. As it was, we were left to search through cupboards for towels. No one on site made themselves known so that we could ask questions or see if we could move to another room (which would have been nice since we were the only guests in the house and were given the smallest room). It all felt rather odd, to be honest. There was no welcome basket or bottled water in our rooms, as is noted on the website. In the morning, we were not served the 'full hot breakfast' as indicated in [the manager's] email, but rather were given a bit of fruit, some sliced cheese and cold ham, and VERY MOULDY bread. The table cloth was filthy and obviously hadn't been changed. For the price of the room, which was incidentally the most that we paid for any room on this trip, we expected much more and much better service. We certainly won't be returning.

Our two nights in the Lady Elizabeth Suite were cramped and uncomfortable. At the grand old age of 68 I had to climb over the end of the high bed and crawl along to get in because the double bed was tightly jammed against the wall. We had to live out of our suitcase because there was no where to put our clothes. Leaving the suitcase open meant we had to walk sideways to get past. Worst of all, there was an open freestanding toilet in the room with only a flimsy screen for modesty. This room needs completely changing and making suitable only for a single person. At breakfast, despite a request for a low fat diet, we were given full fat cheese and ham the first morning, then more acceptable cereal the second. My tablet had tea poured over it by the clumsy waiter (though thankfully no permanent damage). In the evenings we had to negotiate with other guests to use the only two chairs downstairs. Come on, St John's, you can do better than this in such a beautiful house!

Thoroughly disappointed with St John's Inn this second stay. No-one to greet us when we arrived Friday just after diunner time and inn was dark and gloomy. Last years visit the breakfast was lovingly prepared and served by one fellow who was friendly and knew his craft he was there to greet us when we arrived. This year, no-one to meet us and unfortunately there was a buffet breakfast amateurishly prepared and the omelette proved to be without flavor and had too many uncooked peppers and was cold. In the attempt to economize with buffet and not providing full service they have lost us as clients. BP

Booked a room for a family of 3. The 2-queen bed room is clean and nice. The only thing is the room is on ground floor with one side facing the parking. At night the curtain is not good enough to keep the light from outside. Breakfast is beautiful and great service. Vegetarian-friendly with vegan option!

I stayed at the St. John's Inn several times while in Belleville on business. The location is great, close to downtown and restaurants, and has on site free parking. The inn is quiet and the bed was very comfortable - I had a great sleep. The Lady Elizabeth suite has it's own bathroom / shower which was very convenient for me. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed one night in the Duffield Suite. It was comfortable peaceful and beautifully furnished. A nice surprise was a private patio right out the back door.We were walking distance from the Empire Rockfest which was why we were in Belleville.I cannot fail to mention our breakfast. Fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, scrambled eggs and french toast served in a lovely dining room. We met our host Bernie at breakfast and felt right at home. Really could not ask for a more pleasant stay.

We stayed with Lise and Bernie for the second time in October 2016, the first time being last spring. The property itself is exquisitely maintained and your hosts go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable.

Last spring we stayed in a large upstairs room on the south side, which was extremely comfortable and more like a suite. Our friends stayed on the ground floor in another suite. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the neighbourhood is quiet but a short walking distance to downtown. The staff were glad to make spot on recommendations for restaurants and wineries to visit on our tour.

This month we stayed in a smaller upstairs room which was cosy but included an ensuite bathroom with shower. The breakfasts are served in a very classy dining room on fine china, and Rolf, our server, wore formal attire!

We will definitely return soon when we have the chance to enjoy more of Prince Edward County's amenities.
