We stay here when we visit Sandbanks Provincial Park which is a 45 minute drive away. This hotel is clean, comfortable and friendly. We booked a King Studio suite which was a bit small, but we were only there for 1 night, so it was fine. Even though they offer breakfast, we made our own as they have a full kitchen which was a good thing as breakfast is awful. Unfortunately because of COVID they do not offer the buffet breakfast which is understandable, but what they offer isn't any better. They decided to put out a table with buffet items such as juice, yogurt, bagels, fruit and I think a breakfast sandwich. They had a green line there and if you went over it you were severely reprimanded. I had gone up to take a peek at what was offered. I was wearing a mask, the girl behind the table was wearing a mask, but for some reason it was a terrible thing. This older woman came out from the back and started telling me to get back behind the green line like I was some sort of criminal. I explained to her I was just looking to see what was offered. Everything was packaged up so there is no way germs could be spread anywhere, we were all wearing masks and I didn't touch anything. She was very bossy and she spoiled my stay. I thing there could have been a better way to do this. Common sense needs to be used here by her and the management. You need to come a bit closer to see the offerings and also to actually pick up the bag. I asked permission sarcastically if I could go over the green line to pick up the bag. Honestly, this is very silly. I realize we are in the midst of a pandemic, but we all need to use common sense here and the green line needs to go away. All you need to say is what can I get you and I just point. That's it. I needed to say this because it upset me most of the day and it didn't have to. I had a wonderful sleep as the bed is so comfortable, and the hotel is very quiet. I would recommend this hotel, but changes need to be made. (p.s. the muffins are terrible, you need to change supplier)

My family and I just returned from a weekend stay at this hotel. The purpose of our visit was a beach trip to the Sandbanks Provincial Park. We decided to stay at this hotel because of the in-suite kitchens, so we could cook and prepare our own food.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. It was comfortable and fully equipped. However due to the Covid changes, our overall stay was not as enjoyable as it normally would have been.

1. The hotel amenities such as the gym, pool, and patio were all open, but with limitations on the number of people allowed in. Not that big of a deal, my family and I were still able to use the amenities, we just had to adjust our use accordingly.

2. The breakfast buffet was cancelled. Instead they provided pre-packaged food which you had to prepare and eat in your room. There wasn't much selection, and no hot food was served. But given that we had a suite with a full kitchen, we had the option to cook our own breakfast in our room anyway.

3. The maid service was cancelled. Meaning, the maid does not enter your room at any time during your stay. So the luxury of going out, and returning to a clean room with fresh towels doesn't happen anymore. The front desk staff will provide you with whatever supplies you need, however, if you are travelling with children, your room will eventually get messy. At one point I had to borrow a vacuum from the front desk to vacuum my own room!

For me, this was the biggest drawback, because I had learned that some of the other hotels in the area still had maid service.

I'm not blaming the hotel for these changes. It's not their fault. Every hotel has had to make Covid adjustments. But there was no Covid adjustment to the price I paid. So if you're planning to stay here during this time, these are changes you need to take into account.

Like I said, the hotel itself is good, which is why I gave it 4 stars. It is clean, well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would stay there again, but not during this time.

We always choose to stay here when we visit our family in town. Service is consistently warm and friendly. They were happy to accommodate our request for early check-in, which was much appreciated. The room itself was spotless and had everything you could possibly want - we got the larger suite and it had a full size fridge! Our room was facing the back and the highway noise was a bit disruptive at night, but that was easily rectified with earplugs. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room facing the front. The casino next door is great, we went for about an hour and had a fun time. Heads up that the convenience store across the street closes really early (like soon after dinner time). There are restaurants and shops a 15 mins walk (or short drive) down the road. We love the location of this hotel by the highway onramp as it makes it very convenient for us to drive home.

Awesome staff , very friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely clean and maintenance staff was very thorough. There is a casino next door but food may be better in the restaurants down the road . The breakfast is the usual stuff but very neat and I loved the fact that they offered home cooked oats with walnut and raisins ! It was great !

We enjoyed our stay here. It was only for one night but the room was a good size and had a small couch and table for eating or lounging. It was away from the main area of the city but still close enough to get where you needed. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. We also had a small kitchen with a stove and fridge and cupboards with cutlery and dishes and everything we needed if wanted to eat or make something in the room. Our room only had a shower though and no bath so if you're traveling with small kids that'd be a good thing to ask. Our toddler wasn't used to showers so it made for an interesting experience. Would stay again!

Normally we are extremely impressed with any hotel in the Marriott chain. Unfortunately this one had it’s disappointments.

We are all having to deal with the Covid issue but I felt they were using it as an excuse to give sub par service. We knew there was no hot breakfast any more but they made minimal effort to compensate for it. They ran out of sausage breakfast sandwiches. The egg and cheese were just processed store bought I don’t know what. You have to heat them up back at your room. Muffins were store bought, small and tasteless. No other pastries were offered. The other choices were yogurt, an apple, two slices of bread, cold boiled eggs and juice. That’s it.

Also, we were not given any information sheet (if there was one?) about the beds not being changed and what to do with the garbage. Others put it in the hallway so we did the same. Service was cold and non-caring. Like I said, we are all having to live with reduced services but I wish they could have made up for it by putting some effort into what they were providing. Not sure why their prices did not reflect the reduced services.

On the positive: The room overall was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the full kitchen and all it’s facilities.

For these reasons I doubt we would return here until the pandemic is over or they improve their services.

This was my second stay at this hotel, both times for extended periods. I was consistently impressed by the quality of the service I received, and the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. Without exception, the staff is friendly and leaning forward to anticipate your needs and make your stay better. The pool, hot tub, fitness room and laundry facilities are all first-rate, and the rooms are well equipped with everything needed to make your stay pleasant. I had a defective stove which was replaced immediately, and an intermittent TV issue which was also immediately fixed. The manager doesn't hesitate to get involved to ensure everything is as it should be, and the front desk manager is responsive to changing needs and timings. I recommend this hotel in the strongest terms.

We went to Belleville for a short friends reunion, seeing as how it was approximately half way between London, Ont. and Montreal , Qc. , and having read the previous reviews , decided to book us adjacent rooms here .
Well the reviews were true. I've never been to a cleaner, friendlier, fully equipped, more comfortable hotel than this .
The daily breakfast wasn't a couple of croissants with jam , no, instead everything you could possibly ask for hot and cold . And the sweet lady who served us on the hot breakfast side - what a darling , hard-working person.
They didn't have a bartender at this time ( employee shortage due to pandemic ) but the girls at reception happily filled in and did their utmost to serve everyone. Smiles all around all the time ( yes we could still see them in spite of cautionary masks -lol )
The pool and whirlpool were fantastic additions to our pleasure.
I could go on and on , but I would just be repeating all the good things that have already been described in previous reviews . All I have to add is I thoroughly recommend this hotel, and if all the Marriot hotels are like this , you've found a new client .

Stayed for two nights with my husband for a quick semi-local getaway.

I feel like this hotel thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay. There seems to be a lot of little things that other hotels don’t think of.

The kitchen included a mid size fridge with freezer, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, full size sink, a toaster, pots, utensils, etc. And if it wasn’t in your room, there was an additional list of things you could ask the front desk for. Lots of storage if you had an extended stay including a closet in the bathroom.

All staff we encountered was very friendly. Room was clean. Never made it down to the pool unfortunately. We didn’t realize breakfast was included and were pleasantly surprised when we checked in. They offered a large selection of items including hot food.

Plenty of outdoor parking and only steps away from the small casino next door.

My only complaint; not enough counter space around the sink.

Overall we were very impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The staff are excellent. Very organized and welcoming. Rooms are large and well stocked with what you need to cook and eat. Excellent buffet for breakfast. Very secure and safe. Large parking lot for your vehicles and well lit. Doors lock at a certain hour and require passes to gain entry. I stayed here for 30 days over a two month period.
