Spent a couple of nights here and it was a pretty standard and unexciting stay. Around a 15 minute drive from the airport. Surrounding area is nothing special unless you want to do some shopping. Plenty of parking close by to the hotel.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is a Starbucks in the lobby with a small, but tasty, menu for breakfast as well as offers warm meals and drinks in the evening. The gym is small, but enough. Pool is for families, not big enough to swim laps. I saw many comments about the elevators and during my say both worked perfectly.

Good location with walking access to a variety of eating places and shops. Room and bathroom was adequate but very dated compared to similar international locations in the hotel chain. Toilet flooded on first night so had to ask for another room because there was no one around to fix it. Staff were friendly enough but not that helpful. They refused late check out which is unusual, considering it’s proximity to the airport (other locations do). For some reason I had to ask three times for replacement towels - eventually someone came up late in the night to deliver (the room cleaning person refused to give me one at the time). Only one of two elevators was working, so make sure you ask for a lower floor.

I'm a Marriott bonvoy loyalty person and stay at many Marriott's. The Marriott folks need to take a look at this property under license. Bathroom shower was positively third world. A bath spout, w/ shower diverter, 10 inches off the floor (??) barely connected to a loose copper pipe, and with a 1 inch gap to the wall.
Nice enough people generally - but when they asked how my stay was and I shared the bathroom situation they simply then asked how I wanted my bill. Zero interest in actually understanding the issue.
Also an old jetted tub in the bedroom which is weird in and of itself.

August 31st - Bed not made & cleaning lady rude behavior

Hello,

This is a formal complaint to the General Manager & Owner

Attached are the photos of the state of my room when I returned from the hospital

Cleaning lady said she did make the bed, I showed Rose the house keeping manager & she agreed the bed was not made

The cleaning lady was giving me dirty looks and kept saying I was lying & the manager only told her to stop

Attached are the photos and I'm still waiting for a Manager..Kimberly is busy and I'm here sitting at my door waiting for the matter to be addressed

I'm posting this experience on all of Social Media and will never return to this location.

Guest Services- Maria, Natalie, Melinda, & Mansi have been polite & made my stay stress free. Management should take notes from them.

Tuesday, September 05th 2023 woke up to a fire alarm at 4:45 am. The most traumatic experience. There was a fire on the 6th floor. The floor I was staying on since August 14th when I first checked in. Everyone had to evacuate the building. When I exited my room with only my purse & phone I saw smoke at the end of the hallway close to the exit sign. The next door guests husband & wife were with me trying to get to the stairs to exit the building safely. We had to rush to the opposite end of the hallway to get to the stairs & exited the hotel safely. The fire trucks arrived shortly after & everyone was outside in shock. The firemen put out the smoke & around 6am we were able to re-enter the hotel. Everyone on the 6th floor checked out and were also traumatized. I had to wait to check out because my right hand is broken. I have a cast on my arm and had to wait for my daughter to come help me pack.

No one from Management explained what was the cause of the fire or apologized for the inconvenience we experienced. I had to demand and explanation from the General Manager Yosh & he advised is a non empathetic manner that someone was smoking in the staircase on the 6th floor and this has happened before & whoever was smoking has been banned from the Hotel & got a $2,500 fine. He disregarded my concerns of the trauma I experienced. Walking up to a fire alarm at 4:45am. Not knowing how serious the fire was & if I could evacuate safely and see my daughter & family again. No apologies was given or any empathy or compensation for the trauma I and the other guests on the 6th floor experienced. Horrible terrifying experience & I'll never return to this particular Courtyard Marriott (Brampton) location ever again. I have videos of the after math & how poorly Guest Services Front desk staff treated me; however I will not post it as I've been advised by Lawyer.

Responded Sep 14, 2023
Dear MISSRIC, I hope this message finds you well. We would like to sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your recent stay at our Courtyard Marriott Brampton hotel. We take your feedback seriously and value your perspective as it helps us improve our services. Firstly, we deeply regret the distressing incident with the fire alarm during your stay. We understand how traumatic such an experience can be, and we want to assure you that your safety was our top priority. The fire was caused by a guest smoking in the staircase, which is a serious breach of hotel rules. The responsible party has been banned from our premises and incurred a significant fine as a result. We apologize for not communicating these details to you more effectively and for not offering the empathy and support you deserved during this unsettling event. Regarding your room condition upon your return from the hospital, we appreciate your understanding of the situation that unfolded with our room attendant. The room attendant had noticed valuable personal belongings on your bed, and out of caution, refrained from making the bed. Subsequently, our Housekeeping Manager, Rose, offered to have someone clean the room, which you declined. We appreciate your patience in this matter. Our team takes guest satisfaction seriously, and we are glad to hear that Maria, Natalie, Melinda, and Mansi from Guest Services made your stay stress-free. We will ensure they receive the recognition they deserve for their exceptional service. Please understand that our staff's safety and well-being are equally important to us. We were concerned about the confrontations and abusive language you directed at our housekeeping and guest services staff, as well as your inquiries about other employees. This behavior compromised the safety and comfort of our team members, and we kindly request respectful communication in all interactions. We would like to acknowledge our General Manager, Yash, who did his best to provide empathy and assistance during your stay. We also want to express our gratitude for your extended reservations, discounted rates, complimentary upgrade, and long-term accommodations, which we offered in an effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We deeply regret that your experience did not meet our usual high standards. We value your feedback and will use it as an opportunity to learn and improve our services. If there is anything further we can do to address your concerns or improve your impression of our hotel, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. Once again, we apologize for the inconveniences you encountered and thank you for choosing Courtyard Marriott Brampton. We hope you will consider giving us another chance to provide you with a better experience in the future. Warm Regards,

I’ve been staying at this location for the past 8 days. The hotel seems dirty in common areas and elevators.
There isn’t any housekeeping provided. No clean towels or sheets, you have to put garbage outside your door if you want it emptied. I understand Covid restrictions are being lifted soon but as of now they are still in place. I have seen numerous staff not wearing masks in hallways and elevators, behind the front desk. Staff video chatting while “working”. From people obviously in charge to housekeeping and maintenance staff.
The highlight of my stay has been the young lady working in the restaurant in the morning. She is efficient , competent and pleasant. After a couple of mornings she remembered me and started to get my coffee order ready as I walked up.
Other than this it has been a disappointing stay.

The Courtyard is our hotel of choice when visiting family in Brampton. Admittedly, most of our time is spent outside of the hotel and we usually just dine with the family, so I cannot comment on any of the amenities. But the rooms are more than suitable to lay our heads down at night - clean and surprisingly not very loud, given the rather busy area the hotel is located in. Staff are courteous, prices are reasonable. We plan to stay again.

This hotel seems to cater to business and large events. The majority of the guests seemed to be smokers. The so-called restaurant/bar is very limited in selection. Good enough for a close by business need but not the place for vacationers.

Nicely located. Room and bathroom sizes are good. Beds are not as comfortable as those should be.
The lighting in rooms and bathrooms bit on lesser side. They do not give you shower gel and lotion in bathrooms.
Overall, the hotel is less than expectations.

It was just a buffet when I was there - eggs, toast, sausage, pancakes/french toast, fruit... so if you consider eggs and sausage breakfast, then yes! lol
