DO NOT STAY HERE! First, we arrive to find out out they can't guarantee you parking because they don't own the lot. The woman told us it was $15 per night - our confirmation email said $5 and there website says $7. The first room they gave us smelled horribly of cigarette smoke in a non smoking room. AND the smoke detector had been ripped out of the ceiling. They gave us a new room right way no problem. What we did not know was that there is a raging nightclub attached and right below our room. I called the desk 3 times and went down once at midnight as they were still amplifying music out onto the patio. Apparently nobody cares about noise restrictions in this city. I don't care if you're a bar, you aren't supposed to have music blaring after 11pm on a patio!!!!! The noise will continue till 2am. We are here for a wedding nearby and booked out of convenience. Never will we stay again and will not recommend. Will be sharing on social media as well. I cannot believe how terrible this hotel is. They really should take better care of their customer service with the new hotel that opened up on the other side of the lot. They will lose their business to them.…
We were lucky to be given rooms on the water view side and everything was good. When we walked back to the hotel from a wedding we attended the noise outside from the bar beside the hotel was out of control. A long line of people were waiting to get in and many were inebriated. A constant stream of cars circled the parking lot. The outdoor patio between the bar and hotel had a wedding in full swing. Our friends had a room on the other side and were told at the front desk that this is what it is like every weekend. When asked what time the place closes and the noise stops they were told 2:30 am! They turned on their air conditioning and bathroom fan and still couldn't sleep from all the music and people yelling. They arrived before check in at 2:30pm and were not warned of the partying and noise until 2:30 am as they had to get up early to drive to another out of town wedding. These rooms should not be given to guests unless they are advised about the weekend bar activities and patio events. Refuse any room offered on the city side and get it in writing when booking. Breakfast is not really a buffet just a selection of items and some hot food that has to be requested. We would have given the hotel a 4 star rating except for the issues with the noise.…
We chose this hotel as it was within walking distance to the Burlington Arts Centre and has a pool. We were so impressed with this hotel that looks like it has been fully renovated. Our beds were comfy, the bathroom tiling very stylish. The bedside tables have USB ports and sockets. I found the USB port on the desk lamp didn't work well though. The breakfast Covid-friendly buffet delicious and good choices. The pool's temperature was perfect for us. The hot tub was out of service but that didn't matter to me as I don't usually use one. There is a gym overlooking the lake. The lobby warm, welcoming with comfortable furniture and sparkling lighting. Full package.
Hotel is a great value for the amenities and price. Hotel is very modern and has undergone recent upgrades. Disappointing to spend off and on over the past two weeks and Hotel hot tub still not repaired. Stayed in three different rooms over psst two weeks and every room has missed updating or repairing bathroom ceiling fans very noisy and old. Cable TV is static on half the channels
I booked a stay at this hotel for a "staycation" with my family. We chose this location as we heard they had a lovely pool. I was curious if I had to "reserve" the pool due to CoVid regulations as a friend had to do earlier that month. I called and messaged 2 days before and was unable to get a response. Finally the day before I was able to reach them (23.5 hours before our visit). Their pool was closed and awaiting public health to inspect. I explained my situation and they agreed to waive any cancellation fee, but I booked through booking.com so they needed to go through them by sending one little email saying they waived the fee. Back and forth for almost a month with booking.com blaming this hotel and vice versa for not communicating. I have called this hotel, emailed, spoke to managers, even tried Facebook messaging to no avail. Apparently the hotel's communication system was "down". But for a month? So frustrating because neither unit will send me emails etc as they insist they must only deal with each other. 0/10 would NOT recommend this hotel. I would have loved to try another visit elsewhere but they will not give me my $200 back even after saying they would multiple times. So frustrating.…
When we check my wife and i , nobody was there to take care of us for nearly 5 minutes, i have to yelled hellllo!! and someone yelled back at us from the office saying i’m on a phone call !!! illl be right there , a few minutes later this girl came out and she didn’t apologize for her behavior so i ask to talk with the manager ,,,, by the way they were 2 more guests behind us and they were in shock !!!! Two ladies came out and help the situation and they were very apologetic and upgraded us to nice suite , next mortimer woke up early went downstairs to see if i can find a manager to talk about what happened and there she was , a “Manager “ i asked if i can talk to her and she told me that she already knew what and they upgraded me to a better room , this people are missing the point i don’t care about your upgraded room …. it doesn’t mean anything to us !!!!! Again no apologies or nothing , i guess she was in a hurry to leave the hotel ! shame on you ! and in our “Upgrade Room” when we try to make you in your best rooms in the hotel , the coffee maker was disgusting 🤮 Again they are a few nice ladies one from Romania 🇷🇴 and another lady from portugal 🇵🇹, they were sweet heart s and another girl she took her time to listen what happened when we were checking out ! thank you 🙏🏽 The manager and the girl inside the office horrible people and again very unprofessional!…
I had the absolute worst "stay" here. When I arrived there was a homeless man peeing in the bushes against the front of the building. The room I originally booked was gone so they gave me a different room. No big deal. I get to the room, the hallway was disgusting and covered in bits. The sheets on the bed had bloodstains. The mattress was soiled and covered in all sorts of bits. The floors in the room had stains of some sort all over and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. The walls were so thin I could hear every word the lady next door was saying on the phone. I asked to switch rooms, the next room was just as bad. I ended up leaving without staying the night. When I was leaving there was a lady clearly on some sort of drugs in the front lobby and the security guard was trying to get her to leave (unsuccessfully). I ended up finding a different hotel and had a wonderful stay there. Like night and day. I asked for a refund and did not get one. I only have videos of the rooms so I can't upload anything.…
I've stayed at the Waterfront hotel on several occasions in the last 5 years. I have absolutely loved all my visits. All the staff whether it being the Front Desk Staff, Maid Service and yes even Maintenance have all made it a pleasurable experience. From Paula, Nicole and Dwayne at the front desk, and Jason and Will in Maintenance. I'm sure I've forgotten a few and don't know the names of a few... I have always enjoyed your smiles and how I have been welcomed on every visit. It's an amazing place, great location, great place to have your Wedding Reception, close to many great restaurants and walking trails. They have made it like a second home for me. The beds are super comfortable... the grounds are clean the staff is always happy and respectful.... Hotel is close to several amenities....restaurants..Keora spa (highly recommend), walking trails, shopping, go train...perfect spot... And yes the breakfast isn't the greatest...it wasn't always this way....but they are working on it...but I have to say I'm missing my Belgian waffles.... ;) ***have travelled here as a couple , solo, business, with friends ....highly recommend for any type of travel.…
The hotel website states that a breakfast (buffet) is available when that’s not the case. Inform your clients that this breakfast isn’t available. A breakfast in a bag is provided. Our king room was cold and the heater wasn’t operating. The television picture quality was poor. We were moved to another room once I asked the manager. The hotel has been updated but the quality is poor and the rooms are tired. There are better hotels in the Burlington area.
First impression, very nice hotel, room was clean, beds were comfy. Overall hotel was clean. I felt safe staying at the hotel during covid time. No room keeping due to covid. That was OK. Bathroom a bit outdated. Room came with daily breakfast, but due to covid, there was no breakfast buffet. Every morning we lined up in the lobby to pick up breakfast. Food was not that great, but...it's covid time. I am very understanding. No free parking. Hotel charged $7/nt, which was not bad compared to others. It's located right in downtown. Loved the location of the hotel. Right on the edge of lake Ontario. Beautiful location for taking walks on the pier or along the waterfront trail. I would book again if I go back to Burlington someday.
