The Pearle Hotel & Spa is lauded for its contemporary rooms with breathtaking lake views and a commendable level of cleanliness, creating a relaxing environment that guests love. Its ideal location near Lake Ontario and dining options adds to its charm. While the modern amenities and attentive service receive high marks, some guests have experienced minor setbacks with noise, water pressure, and occasional slow service. Opinions on value are mixed, with some visitors finding the extras pricey, despite the overall comfort and views.

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and chose The Pearle for its waterfront location and close proximity to Toronto via Go Transit.

This was one of the best anniversary celebrations we’ve ever had and we’re already looking into returning at the same time next year, all because the team at the Pearle handled every detail to perfection, surprising and delighting us with welcome amenities and unparalleled service.

To start, the hotel is only 2 years old (it still has the new hotel look and feel) and the decor in the lobby and all the rooms is very modern. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the wonderful Patrizia, who upon learning it was our anniversary, offered us a choice of rooms and even brought us up to see both options so that we could make an informed decision.

We ended up selecting a partial lakeview room which offered a stunning view of Lake Ontario and the clever layout (e.g. with a barn door on the bathroom and the safe in one of the closet drawers) optimized the space nicely. The hotel is located only a few steps from Waterfront Trail allowing us to go for beautiful walks at our leisure.

Last but certainly not least, we had high hopes for the food at The Pearle, and both Isabelle Restaurant and Pearle's Cafe exceeded all our expectations. The breakfast at Isabelle was over the top with the freshest eggs we've ever tasted. Pearle Cafe's gourmet pizza (the Bee Sting slice is a must-try) was comparable to any pizza you'd enjoy at a high-end Italian restaurant, and even the drip coffee was top quality.

Having travelled extensively it takes a lot to impress us, and we'd recommend a stay at The Pearle without hesitation.

Absolutely the most friendly, well-trained professional staff (from the valets to front desk to restaurant employees) that I have ever had the pleasure to meet.

The room was immaculate, the bed incredibly comfortable and loved that we could open the door and hear the waves hitting the shore as we looked at the incredible lake view … it was truly magical.

Also loved their unique “signature”, which are these wonderful postcards with historic images that you can write to loved ones with special pens wrapped in wood, and then mail them by placing them in an old-fashioned brass mailbox in the lobby (the hotel pays the postage & really mails them as a gift for their guests).

Lastly, I had no idea Burlington’s waterfront was so spectacular … so glad we’ve discovered this treasure!

The pearle hotel is conveniently located on the waterfront of Lake Ontario. I stayed on the 4th floor but we had people in our wedding party on floors 3, 4 & 5, each with stunning views out of the floor to ceiling window. I loved that you could open the window, smell the rain and get fresh air into the room. There is every amenity you could imagine from an espresso maker to a mini fridge in the room. The towels are fluffy and the robe ridiculously soft and cozy. Perfect balance of posh meets comfort. The beds feel like your sleeping in a cloud.

So disappointed in the spa. Family member booked for a celebration with the best of intentions but very disappointed. Was not told that my pedicure was going to be a “dry” pedicure. So had my feet out in the cold in a 90 degree angle poked at for an hour and a half. Didn’t even get the dead skin off. The whole point of a pedicure is to be relaxed by the warm water. Then to be charged $200 for it was highway robbery. Miserable experience. I wasn’t told that they coffee they offered me wasn’t free of charge. Which at a place like that is the least you can offer consider when you’re charging people for the services. So $25 later for 3 coffees. The treatment room was cold and none of the oils were heated. Having cold oils and balms rubbed on my skin was not relaxing at all.
Do no recommend at all.

I was in town for a business meeting and was so fortunate to stay here at the Pearle. From the moment I arrived, with Shane greeting me at registration (and every time I went by there), and every staff interaction, this was a memorable stay. My room was contemporary, while still comfortably cozy, with all of the luxury conveniences you'd hope for in a high-end hotel. My in-room breakfast, berries with yogurt and granola, was fresh and delicious. Next time I'm in Burlington, I'll be back.

The hotel was okay - customer service was good, suite was clean and tranquil, but the spa was overpriced for the QUALITY. I paid $195 for a massage, $75 for a manicure, and $95 for a pedicure. That would have been fine, HOWEVER, my pedicure was splotchy and the very next day my manicure started to chip at the tips. The nail technician was lovely and kind, but there was nothing special about the manicure and pedicure to merit the $75 and $95 pricing. For that price, I expect at least proper technique to prevent chipping. They could have at least given me extra topcoat. Disappointing.

Our experience at The Pearle never disappoints! The best urban retreat! Feels like home! This property is so great with a baby everything was just so comfortable and all staff are so helpful and thoughtful. I only wish the pool schedule was a little more accommodating for families.

We stayed at The Pearle on a busy Friday night. Upon checking in, we were told our room was “upgraded” but what we received was a room on the fifth floor facing the street with no view at all. I called down to front desk and Sam answered (I wish he checked us in originally because his hospitality was amazing!).

Sam moved us to a lakefront room on the 8th floor and the view was beautiful! This really made all the difference in our stay. Thanks again, Sam!

We had dinner and brunch at the Isabelle restaurant on their outdoor patio and loved it. Elizabeth was our waitress and she was very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu.

We also enjoyed the spa and highly recommend getting a massage. The hotel was busy with lots of guests and weddings but the spa was quiet and relaxing.

Thanks to the Pearle for a great overnight stay. My room was a studio suite with lakeview on the 4th floor and had terrific views of Lake Ontario. The room and bathroom were large. I slept incredibly comfortably – the bed reminded me of the Ritz Carlton beds. The room included free snacks and beverages (toffee, chips, flavored sparkling water) as well as a Nespresso coffee machine. Also included are robes, slippers, hydration station, and valet parking. The valets are very friendly...as are all the staff I encountered.
This modern hotel is located in walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in downtown Burlington. Isabella was nice for lunch with a view. The only warning I have is that the rooms with terraces are on the 3rd floor, so being on the 4th floor I could hear clear conversations of the people below me when they were on their terrace/patio. Luckily they were not too rowdy!

The hotel is nice not great. Only two elevators for a 9 story hotel leaves you spending a lot of time waiting for an elevator. Attention to detail is poor. All of the pictures in the room are glued to the wall crooked, the “closet” is too small to hang a shirt without it having to be turned sideways a bit and it still hits the ironing board, the bar to hang clothes on is too low for a dress let alone a gown, and there are no racks in the room to put suitcases on.
While none of these are huge issues, they are when you’re paying over $800 per night. For that kind of money I expect much better!!!
Marriott, shame on you!

Room Tip: Avoid wedding season, it is crazy busy at that time. Try to get a lake view in a high floor.
