Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Burlington, Ontario based on the great reviews online. The hotel is indeed new with brand new decor and furnishings. Loved the modern vibe of the hotel. There's ample free parking onsite, including a section for Hilton Honors Diamonds. The hotel is not really walkable to anything except an ice rink behind and an A&W Restaurant in the next parking lot over (root beer and coke floats were yummy!). A huge bonus is the free breakfast. There's make your own waffles, a bread/toast section, oatmeal section, cereal section, and even hot items like scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage (depending on the day), and potatoes or pancakes (depending on the day). Juices also varied between orange, apple, lemonade, punch, etc. Breakfast was definitely a highlight and it was actually good! Every staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful. As a Diamond, we were given waters and a snack, a higher floor, and a much appreciated late check-out, but no suite upgrade. The pool is on the smaller side, but we had no problem using it in the late afternoon on the weekdays. The kids liked the pool. Really had a great stay. My biggest issue with the room was the cleanliness. The room was a bit dirty, partially from the construction dust but also from lack of cleaning - for example, there was hair everywhere (not ours!). We had already started unpacking when we noticed the condition of the room, so we made a trip out to the dollarama store to buy a Swiffer and wipes instead of trying to change rooms. Other than the cleanliness factor, this would have been a 5 star review, but we had to take off a star for that. We loved staying here and would not hesitate to stay again.

We were excited to stay in a brand-new hotel. We passed the hotel the first time because there’s really no signage from the street. It’s right next to an auto repair shop and car wash. Nothing really within walking distance.
At check in, we had a little bit of a wait for someone to return to the front desk. She was friendly and helpful enough. I was surprised when I was asked as a diamond member to choose between points or water and snacks. I’m used to always getting water and always count on it after the traveling in.
The room is nicely appointed. Everything is updated and aesthetically pleasing.. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. The TV was a large size and offered many channels, including US networks. Toiletries were In large bottles that were wall-mounted in the shower and by the sink. The bed was very comfortable.
Our only concerning observation was the cleaning. We like brand new because it means no mildew, less wear and tear, etc. But it didn’t look like everything was wiped down in our room and the bathroom floor and shower floor looked like they need a good scrubbing. It wasn’t disgusting but it can be better.
There were two young men at checkout who were very friendly. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn fare. Everything was fully stocked. The dining area was pretty full so we returned to the room to eat. According to some of the staff there, the hotel has been open for just a couple of weeks and they have been fully booked for a lot of it! Hopefully they can keep the staff to maintain this beautiful hotel.

Used this hotel as a base to attend the Honda Indy Car weekend in Toronto as didnt want to stay in the city centre and a rental car as was also doing a large amount of travelling that week. Located extremely well with Appleby Go train station just minutes away with free parking, and just a 35 minute journey into Toronto city centre. Also right in between both the 403 and 407 and easy access to nearby retail areas and restaurants - although car is needed.
Hotel is brand new, so much so that when I tried to book it earlier, reservations were still not being accepted so had to wait until May.
Facilities are extremely clean and well appointed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was excellent, as was free wifi.
Breakfast was also very good for a complimentary offering with lots of choice and plenty of seating. Staff were also constantly wiping everything down and refilling options - very reassuring in this covid age, especially with how busy it was on one of the mornings with families clearly all staying for a baseball match.
Only downside was that we asked for a quiet room, which we though we had away at end of corridor.....that was until the baseball kids staying decide to play games on the stairs at end of corridor, which ended up vibrating the whole room when groups of them were charging up and down the stairs. No issues the second night when, families were not staying.
Would definitely use this hotel if needing to stay in this area.

My kids watched the Black Pink concert at Hamilton on Sun evening, Nov 6. My husband & I decided to spend the night close by instead of driving all the way back to Toronto late in the evening. We've stayed at other Hampton Inn locations previously and we were quite happy with how clean and comfortable the rooms were. We also enjoyed how there is a hot buffet breakfast to start our day off.
So when I was looking for a place to rest for the evening, Hampton Inn came top of mind. We stayed in a 2 Queen Bed Suite with sofa bed & kitchenette. The suites, which are more spacious than the standard rooms, are located at the end of each floor which is great since they are further away from the elevator & tend to be more quiet.
Husam was the front desk manager who checked us in and he was professional and friendly. He sent a text within an hour after we checked in to check if everything in the room was ok. I thought that was a nice & thoughtful gesture. We ran out of shower gel and he was prompt in sending someone with a replacement.
The following morning, I had a minor problem related to breakfast which was promptly resolved by Gilbert who was on the morning shift at the front desk. Thank you, Gilbert.
If there were 3 areas of improvement I can suggest:
1. Improve the water shower pressure. My suite was located on the 5th floor and the water pressure was weak. I didn't have any issue with the water temperature. It was easy to adjust using the small lever. If the water pressure was strong, it would have been a more enjoyable bath experience.
2. If would be nice if they can have additional chairs in the room - especially if it's a family using the suite. With COVID, my family still doesn't dine out since we keep our masks on when with others. We buy food to go & eat it inside the hotel room. But there wasn't enough chairs for a family of 4 to dine in the room. There's 1 chair by the office table. Then one small desk by the sofa bed. So to eat at the table, we had to take turns.
3. The mattress on the sofa bed was not comfortable. We ended up not using the sofa bed. Good thing the 2 queen size bed can fit 4 guests.
All these being considered, I would be happy to stay again at this location if my family is in the area. The queen size beds were comfy to sleep on, the pillows so soft and fluffy that you sink into it and we had a good night's rest. The room was clean. Staff were nice, courteous and friendly.

The hotel chain is well known and offers well appointed rooms with an on-site restaurant on the premises. The rooms are clean and inviting, but the parking is limited and the hotel borders right on the highway. Noisy , and the location is far from other sources of entertainment unless you are willing a 20 minute drive

We had to book the Hampton Inn & Suites Burlington for our family of four, including 2 young children, after a disastrous Airbnb failure. We had an excellent two-night stay. Customer service at check-in and throughout my stay was top-notch. The room was 2 queen beds, large and clean. The hotel overall is new and quiet. Included breakfast was good with variety for the children. Kids loved the indoor pool. As a reminder, as with most hotels now, housekeeping for shorter stays is on request. I definitely recommend Hampton for your Burlington stay!

Check-in staff: Check-in was fine. But it turned negative when I raised the issue with shower water temperature. John’s bad attitude and ineffective responses reminded me of similar experiences from Country Inn & Suites in Wichita, KS and the Presidential Inn & Suites in Aztec, NM, except it's a milder version with less aggressiveness, where the staff got upset and impatient when I asked clarifications or when I couldn't provide additional information than originally agreed upon, and they did not want to listen to my concerns and reasons. Did not practice active listening nor made me feel like a valued Hilton Honors customer.
Cold shower even after John’s suggestion on letting it run longer, let it run 5 minutes before doing the shower, and it was cold. The longer the shower, the colder it was. Room 404
The biggest issue with this stay is lack of hot shower.
The room, lobby, and common areas were clean.

Hotel is less than a year old was told and honestly had issues with room already.
First off, wasn’t given room reserved. Wound up getting a handicapped room. This wasn’t requested or needed.
Howling noise coming from bottom of door. Had too put a towel along the door to block the air and noise. Shower was for a wheel chair and shower handle extremely tough to turn.
No body wash as shower bottle on wall was empty. Luckily had soap with me. Door to adjoining room had large gaps and door barely closed. Luckily there was a deadbolt.
Not impressed with this hotel at all and doubt I will be staying here again.

New, comfy beds, quiet hotel near the Highway, not much around but the drive to Burlington only 10 minutes. Lots of amenities there. Hampton inn offers free breakfast which is quite yummy, unfortunately on Plastik and paper only which is always a bit of a downturn in these Environment friendly times. But apart from this we enjoyed the hotel very much, litzle pool and gym, free parking, friendly staff. Ideal for a stay bith was to Toronto and Niagara.

Fantastic Room, Quiet,Clean and Spacious!
Highly recommend this location. It’s very close to the QEW and the Niagara/Toronto region. Breakfast was delicious and well stocked. The only recommendation I would make is that being a Silver Hilton Honour Member I wasn’t eligible for a couple of free bottles of water. I would be nice if that was offered to all guests, just a suggestion. Look forward to a return visit.

Responded Jul 24, 2024
Hello Jeff, Thank you for the fantastic 5/5 review! We're delighted you enjoyed our quiet, clean, and spacious room, as well as the breakfast. We apologize for any confusion about the bottled water. At all Hamptons (as compliance to Hilton standards), complimentary water is provided to Gold and Diamond Hilton Honors members. Other Hilton brands, do provide for all tiers. We appreciate your suggestion and look forward to welcoming you back for another great stay! Always happy to help, Gilbert Navarro Front Office Supervisor
