No elevator, so make sure you know which types of rooms are available -- 2 queen rooms were only available on the second floor. The front desk staff was great and moved us to a room with working fridge and microwave. WiFi was good. Shower pressure was excellent as were the towels. We needed a tub stopper for the bath which was delivered to the room, but not everyone takes baths. TV worked as did the A/C.

Other than this hotel being well-worn, it was a satisfactory location for my one night stay. The TV lost reception shortly after my arrival at 10 pm but did return to service in the morning. Breakfast is my only complaint since the cost the night was comperable to many other local hotels but without the complimentary breakfast. A bag including a child-sized artificially flavoured juice box, hard granola and vanilla yogurt cut isn't close to an adult's expectation for breakfast. Coffee and tea were available 24 hrs in the lobby to which I had to walk the length of the hotel for my morning beverage.

The location was awesome. We were close to just about anything we needed or wanted, and in a lot of cases within easy walking distance. Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Room we stayed in was very dated. AC unit wasn't working properly, we asked for a fan which staff did quickly bring us. Mattresses were quite comfortable though there was an indentation from where previous customers had slept. Our room also had glue or something on the mirror in the bathroom which was weird and a bit offputting. Overall cleanliness was great. We had breakfast included but weren't up early enough to partake so I'm not sure how it was.

This place was absolutely horrible. Everything was negligible. The "continental" breakfast was granola bar, a yogurt and a juice box in a paperbag. We were stuck at this hotel due to circumstances and did try elsewhere first. We did not have superior expectations based on cost or previous reviews but didn't think it would be this bad. On top of all of the things we ignored to just have a place to put our heads, they locked us out of our rooms at 10:30am and charged us an extra $50. When we tried to ammendment this error, they were not available and will not answer the phone. The main customer service department keeps rerouting to the front desk. The one thing that I can say that was positive is reception was incredibly friendly upon check in. Perhaps it was because she knew we would have to have to get tetanus shots updated

First off, most the staff are great so no prob there. The rooms on the other hand…. Stayed in more than one room over a few weeks, black mold in the bathtub of all of them. I inquire about the mold to the front desk guy and he tells me it’s been disinfected? HAHA like what? “Clean black mold”. Totally disgusting. The place looks like a porno from the 80’s which is likely the last time it seen a reno. Literally everything in the room is dated. Hair on all the “fresh” towels and sheets. Stains and holes in the comforter sheet. Long story short folks spend literally another $10/ night and go down the road to the Best Western Plus. Waaaaaay better everything there.

Don’t come here with a company card they do not accept them , as they tell customers they will trash rooms. The customer service is terrible as they all know nothing and will pass you to someone else who will get back to you. And for whatever reason you do have to stay here don’t bring heavy suitcase as they will giggle watching you struggle brining your stuff up the stairs. And make sure to have a taxi number as they don’t know taxis number for the area.

This is the second time i have been the the first time was great this time how ever. The place has gone down hill. If i had not know where this place was i would had thought it was out of business. the outside need a paint job, the insidie the loby looks good lot of flyers from ottawa area. The room, wall paper peeling, sink moved 3 inched and the tape leaked, The was the good part on our 2 day we were laying in bed when another couple entered out room therir card opend our door. I meet the kind young man at the front desk he was more upset than i was, the front desk went around and corrected the problem by resetting the door locks. When we checked out no one at the front desk only the maid. I WILL NOT BE BACK.

Contrary to many other reviewers experience, my room (222) was spotless and very quiet. The bed linens were cosy and the furniture was fresh (maybe newer). This was a good deal. The only hiccup was that there was no one at the check out counter when I left. (waited 20 min.) The location was very convenient for food options and easy access to the 401.

If I could give this 0 stars I would.
The second floor smells so much like stale cigarettes, it is absolutely disgusting.
It took 55 minutes to check in. “The system is down and we can’t give you access to rooms” is what the front desk told everyone waiting. There was no manager in the building, and no one could get in touch with him. I had to get ready for a wedding in the Indian restaurants public bathroom.
They took a photocopy of my ID and credit card, and processed my credit card 6 times, then banged on my door for 40 minutes at 2am because the card on file was maxed out. Yes, you charged it SIX times! Do not stay here, the super 8 motel down the street is cleaner, easier, quieter and less expensive. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Our room was absolutely disgusting. The carpet was so dirty, that when I accidentally dropped a pair of clean socks on it, I threw it back into the "dirty laundry" bag because I didn't feel comfortable wearing them.

The bed cover was dirty and dusty so we removed it as well and were quite cold at night because there were no other covers, and when we called the front desk, there was no answer.

At night, the walls are so thin that we heard everyone's conversations in the hallway at 2am, and could hear our neighbours move around in their room. Everytime someone opened a door to their room, it was so loud, we thought it was someone opening our door and we remained awake at night thinking someone was going to break into the room.

I truly feel that they shouldn't be charging over $100 for these rooms, and think they should actually not rent these rooms out at all. I can see that other reviews seem to state that some rooms are renovated, but this room was obviously not cleaned since the 70's or so.

Please don't waste your money here.
