Deirdre is an absolutely wonderful host and her place, the Yellow Door Bed and Breakfast, is warm and inviting. Our family of 6 stayed there for one night as a stop on the Great Niagara Circle Bicycle Route. After a long tiring day of biking, Deirdre invited us in and gave us mugs of hot cider, pecan tarts, and friendly conversation. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and warm and the breakfast was delicious and filling. I would highly recommend a stay here. I can't say enough how thoughtful Deirdre is, from drinks in the mini fridge in the rooms, to a place to lock up bikes, and so much more. The location is perfect for the cycle route and Crystal Beach is a quaint community. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Thank you for your amazing review. It is not every day that I have the wonderful opportunity to host an entire family of six. A full days's cycling can indeed be challenging. Thank you for acknowledging that a glass of warm cider and a tasty treat can provide a much needed welcome to my Bed and Breakfast. Should your cycling or driving plans ever bring you back to this area, I would be more than happy to welcome you again to the Yellow Door Bed and Breakfast.

Our stay in the County Cavan room was very comfortable, and Deirdre was an excellent hostess who bent over backward to be sure we and her other guests were comfortable, including provision of extra beverages, energy bars, etc. Her Irish heritage is also displayed for all to enjoy. We enjoyed our stay at the Yellow Door as well as the surrounding area and bike trail to Port Colburn. Crystal Beach seems to be enjoying a bit of a rebirth, with considerable building in the area as well as promise of some new restaurants. As mentioned above, The adjacent village of Ridgeway is quite nice and offers good dining and other services.

Thank you for your kind review. Here at the Yellow Door, I strive to ensure that my guests enjoy a restful and revitalizing stay, especially my guests who arrive after completing a day’s cycle. A nutritious breakfast begins their next day, as it did yours. As you mentioned, Crystal Beach and adjacent Ridgeway offer a selection of eateries, from casual to fine dining. My guests always find one to their liking. The Friendship Trail which connects Fort Erie to Port Colborne and beyond is part of the Niagara Circle Route, which enables a complete circumnavigation of the Niagara Peninsula, from the Falls to the wineries, and so much more. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and hope to be able to welcome you again through the Yellow Door.

Although we only spent one night, our stay at the Yellow Door Bed & Breakfast was very nice. Our host, Deirdre, was very welcoming. We were made to feel right at home. Our our room was clean and comfortable. Deirdre thought of everything we might need, even had a small fridge in our room with some sodas and water. Breakfast was delicious and prepared us for our busy day at the canal. Deirdre was thoughtful to ask about any dietary need/restrictions. Should we find ourselves back in the area, we would definitely stay at Yellow Door Bed & Breakfast again.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. All three of our rooms have a small refrigerator to accommodate not only the beverages I provide to my guests, but those that guests bring themselves. I have always tried to accommodate my guest's dietary requirements. It is a standard question that I ask upon booking, to ensure that I am able to provide a hearty nutritious breakfast while accommodating my guest's needs. I hope you enjoyed your time in Welland. If you ever find yourself back in Crystal Beach, I would more than pleased to welcome you again.

We stayed in the County Cavan room while in town for a family wedding. Deirdre was most welcoming and accommodating. Her home is very well equipped, with beautiful and interesting decor that trends towards an Irish theme and many thoughtful touches throughout. The Yellow Door B&B is situated in a quiet location that allows for an undisturbed night's sleep. Our bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts were a creative, tasty and nourishing start to our days. In general, Yellow Door exceeded our expectations!

Thank you for your wonderful review. It was a pleasure to be your host while you were enjoying a family wedding. I absolutely agree that a good nights rest is very important. Although I cannot take credit for the quiet neighbourhood, at least I can provide a comfortable bed for my guests. When you are back in Crystal Beach to visit family, please do not hesitate to touch base if you have the time. Thank you again for your very kind review.

What a wonderful stay at the Yellow Door BnB. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome by our wonderful host Deirdre. The accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. Located ideally about a 15 min walk from the beach, with many delicious options to dine out on. Bonus was all the live music going on as well. All in all a nice reset over the weekend with the benefit of a good swim in the beautiful Crystal Beach. Thank you Deirdre!

A winner in every way! We loved spending time with Deirdre at the Yellow Door B & B. Deirdre is a gem and a superb host! Thanks for your hospitality, thoughtfulness and great stories. Breakfasts were amazing, the location is perfect and the Cavan room was comfortable and spacious. It was also such a relief to have a safe place to store our bikes in. Deirdre you really think of everything ! We came as guests & left as friends. We can’t wait to come back.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I do try to ensure that every guest has a memorable stay at the Yellow Door. Our location, as you know, is close to both the Bay Beach and to our great choice of restaurants. So even at the end of a day’s cycling, enjoying Lake Erie and having a delicious dinner is easy. I hope that your future travels may find you returning to our little community. If so, the Yellow Door would be most pleased to accommodate you again.

My friend and I stayed in the County Cavan room as part of a bike ride around the Niagara region. It was perfect for us! The bed was comfy, the room was air conditioned, it was very quiet, and Deirdre is such a wonderful host! We were immediately made to feel welcomed. Greeted by apple cider upon arrival! And it’s within walking distance to all of the downtown shops and restaurants and the beach, so we left our bikes in the safe bike shed. We liked looking at all the lovely houses in the neighbourhood. Breakfast was great and filling and we got a couple of snacks for our ride the next day! We really enjoyed staying here. Many thanks to Deirdre!

Thank you for your kind review. Cycling guests are very special to me and I am pleased to host many at the Yellow Door during the warmer months. My home is indeed just walking distance from shops, restaurants and our famous Bay Beach. And with your bikes securely locked away, you can wander about our little town without worries. I’m pleased that you enjoyed the County Cavan Room. A good night’s sleep is important for all our guests, and especially for cyclists. And I take the saying, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day” seriously. So glad that you enjoyed it. I hope that perhaps your travels will bring you back to the Yellow Door again one day. You will always be most welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yellow Door and Deirdre was the perfect host. We stayed here while cycling from Niagara on the Lake to Crystal Beach, Welland and back to Niagara on the Lake. Check in was a breeze. Our room was very clean and quiet and the bed was comfy (and we are fussy bed people!). We enjoyed the touch of Ireland throughout the B&B and Deirdre's stories of Ireland. Deirdre really goes out of her way to accommodate the needs of cyclists, from a secure bike lock up to an early morning breakfast before we hit the trail. She even sent us off with a snack and drink for our day on the trail. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the Crystal Beach area.

Thank you so much for your wonderfully detailed review. Cyclists form a large proportion of my guests, and I really enjoy making sure that their cycling tour of Niagara is highlighted by their stay here at the Yellow Door. Thank you for noting how comfortable the bed was. A good night‘s sleep is always important, and even more so for cyclists who need to recharge their batteries after a day of exertion, and in preparation for the next day‘s ride. Breakfast is always important, and I do my best to ensure that my cycling guests depart with a nutritious hot breakfast to fuel their ride. I look forward to your return visit, when your travels bring you back to Crystal Beach and the Yellow Door.

Thank you so much for your kind review. Cyclists are often our guests, here at the Yellow Door, as they travel the by-ways of the Niagara Peninsula, visiting our many attractions, from wineries to antique shops. I always make sure that they start their day with a hot, nutritious breakfast to fuel their onward journey. Thank you for noting the refrigerator in each guest bedroom. Having cold drinks available after a day of cycling is something that many of our guests appreciate. I hope that your travels may bring you back to Crystal Beach one day. The Yellow Door will always welcome you again.

Two of us stayed at Yellow Door for one night during our two day bike trip along Welland Canal, Friendship trail and Niagara Parkway. The stay ended up being one of the highlights of our trip! The property was excellently maintained. We stayed at a room with shared bathroom which was spotlessly clean. There was also a shed to keep our bikes. We really loved the breakfast which was very tasty, filling (for us it was egg croissant sandwich, fruit, granola parfait, orange juice, Irish tea/coffee etc!) and gave us lots of energy to start cycling for the day. The room itself was really comfortable as well. We were really exhausted from a day of cycling when we arrived at the place, but were very refreshed in the morning to go on another day of riding. Lastly, everyone already mentions in their reviews, but Deirdre is just an excellent host! Our only regret was that we didn't stay there longer to spend more time at the B&B itself. We will be sure to come back again!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. Reviews are very important to a small B&B such as mine. I truly enjoy hosting cyclists who come to explore the by-ways of our unique Niagara Region. Wineries and vineyards give way to Lake Erie vistas, and our Bay Beach is always available to enjoy after a day’s ride. I take pride in providing my guests with a clean, comfortable and welcoming abode, whether for one night or several. And they say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that may be doubly true for cyclists. I look forward to your return visit, whenever you come, and be it on two wheels or four. You will always be most welcome at the Yellow Door.
