I rated 4 because of the wonderful manager/ owner. She went way out of her way to make my stay a success, when it could easily have crashed. The room had a comfy king size bed and was very clean. It isn’t right down on the waterfront but close enough.
You just have to commend great service.

We wanted to stay in Chrystal Beach to go to a specific restaurant. This hotel is great. The staff is helpful & friendly. Very accommodating. The hotel seems to be under renovation. Our room had been renovated and was very nice. Clean, quiet and just where we wanted to be. We will go back.

New owners have re-modeled many of the rooms, this is old style, updates include new flooring, new beds, improvements to linens, freshly painted.

Owner is on premises and is helpful.

Motel is near beach and many other attractions nearby.

We used to stay at this motel every year but you need to be aware of a few things I witnessed on my last visit a month ago, ownership has changed and its nothing more than a dumpy trailer park now, they have decided to rent U-Haul trucks out of their parking lot which declasses the motel, they now rent out rooms on a monthly basis, which brings in a certain type of customer. There is a spray painted camper in the parking lot which made me feel nervous & uncomfortable. The mattresses smells of mold. The pool is now a swamp which has attracted bugs & animals. I was told last year they were working on the pool but a year later it just looks worse. What happened to this cute and quaint motel in a beautiful sleepy beach town?? I will never be back to stay here!!!

The hotel is is very old the rooms are very small only big enough for a bed and a bathroom. We had a ground floor and above our room was another room that were so noisy moving furniture all night, walls were thin.

We were charged 192 for the night, no ice at the hotel, first impression not a great one.

The beach is a ten minute drive and super crowded, we got there at 4 and people were leaving the beach and it was still packed!! No room at all.!!

This town is cute but only has one hotel which is crystsl beach motel and one restaurant.

Every year we have a family reunion at our cousins cottage and for the last 6 years we have stayed at this Motel. This year was a bit different because it was under new ownership. I have to say it still maintained the warm welcome and charm as we checked in but the rooms had a different feeling. A feeling of great change on the horizon. The new owners went out of their way to explain the transition that was going to transpire over the next year and it really peaked our interest. The new owners had only a month to get ready for an extremely busy season and we never saw them stop working on their new venture. I am excited to see what we will walk into next year and wish both of them the best. Thank you for making our transition to the new ownership and our stay wonderful!!!! Your new friends from upstate New York.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night to attend a friends birthday party. The room was clean and the owners were friendly, so that's good. There weren't any toiletries in the room, however I didnt ask for any either so this could have been a simple oversight. My big problem with the place was the price, I found it very high for this level of accomodation. It is the only place in town aside from vacation rentals though so I can't really blame them for charging what they do, things are worth what people will pay for them certainly rings true here.

Don't stay here...this place is badly in need of a major facelift. We had specifically requested a room and it was given away. Saw the room being offered and had to leave...even one night was too many. We found rooms at the Comfort Inn...a little pricier but you get what you pay for...unfortunately Crystal Beach is not worth the price they are asking.

This person may have been there prior to the new ownership or an unhappy competition. If you are real please come over for a stay and we will be happy to prove you wrong. We take legitimate criticism very seriously and will do all we can to make our guest's stay enjoyable. We take a lot of pride in our service and quality. Thanks.

We stayed for one night. You could tell that the place was dated but the new owners are starting to spruce it up. The beds were updated. Pillows were good as were the linens. We requested at least one queen bed and we got it. Room was clean and half price deal midweek was super deal. Lady that owned it was very nice. Hope she makes a go of it (she just bought it).

Thank you for recognizing our efforts. Hopefully we will see you again this summer. You will be very pleasantly surprised. That's why it has taken us a year to respond. :) Just wanted to make sure we are up to the mark. We have worked hard through the year to bring the place back to 2016 standards. The rooms are upgraded and redesigned. We have also added a few extra rooms. Added a few indoor and outdoor amenities. And of course we are 3 minutes drive to the beach. Looking forward to serving you again this summer. Thank you.

Just recently visited Crystal Beach again with my family. Hadn't been there since my childhood in the 80's. Kids really enjoyed the beach. The motel was great - service with a smile. Will definitely come again.

Hello Marsha, Now that's the Million dollar question. We took over the Motel property a little over a year ago. There is no question that it's a great location within a few minutes driving distance from our namesake, the beautiful, sandy Crystal Beach. So along with our guests we are enjoying it as well. The previous ownership did their best to keep the place going, however it was time to give the motel some TLC. We were prepared and excited to do so. Upon opening the pool, we quickly discovered that it needed a lot more than 'just' a little paint to be brought back to acceptable standards including safety and liability issues. Although the pool was a great asset to the property, the economic reality of its resurrection spoke otherwise. So we kept the pool closed for the season hoping to find a viable solution and diverted our focus on renovating and upgrading other important aspects of the property. The current management team includes personnel with extensive backgrounds in TV Set Design, Fashion and Hospitality industries. This is well reflected in the current rooms. We are proud to announce that after a year of diligent hard work every room on the property now speaks for itself. Our Mission statement includes the comfort and safety of our guests in Bold Letters and we are constantly striving to improve further what we have accomplished so far. Our goal is to greet our guests with a smile and relish in receiving the same smile back as they are checking out. On the brighter side we are now open to suggestions from our guests on what to do with the prime former pool space. So far we are considering a Tennis or Beach Volleyball court. If you or other readers have any exciting suggestions, we would love to hear from you. It may even earn you a free night stay!!! So come on over and check us out. Enjoy the beach or other activities in the area and rest assured that you will sleep well at Crystal Beach Motel.
