Check in is done at the Western Bar on the ground floor. The waitress had my envelope with key fob and card and explained everything clearly. The room was amazing with a separate sitting room, a queen bedroom, a kitchen with full sized appliances and small but perfectly adequate bathroom. They tell you on booking and check in that there is no elevator, but the first floor rooms are reached with not too many stairs. Ideal for events in the downtown, as I was attending. Would definitely stay here again

Had a romantic getaway to celebrate our 37th anniversary on Friday night. So happy my husband chose this gem in Guelph. The hotel has so much character, it was clean and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended!

Great location in heart of downtown! Good for who those is using the public transport. Close the Guelph Central Station, restaurants etc The place is clean and comfortable. We rented the king bedroom. The place don't have elevator and the check-in was strange at the restaurant. They said I didn't have a reservation that was the name "Joe" my name is "Jessica" well after everything worked well.

Great apartment, with lost of space. Nicely decorated and attractive hotel. Nice amenities. only problem was there was a lot of noise at 2am, although i said something to the offenders, and they were fine after that.

Not everything will always be perfect or exactly how we expect it; however, I am always hopeful when I experience impeccable customer service. In our experience with The Western Suites in Guelph, we were so impressed with how they responded to an issue we had that we felt it was important to share with future clients. This is a clean, modern, tastefully decorated, hip boutique offering that I feel is one of the best options in the Guelph area. Bang for you buck and great staff. You won't be disappointed.

This was the first time I had visited Guelph on business and most of the other options were standard North American roadside inns! This was a breathe of fresh air, located right in the heart of downtown Guelph. It is an old Coaching Inn with beautifully restored spacious suites above a lively an busy bar/restaurant. The suites are spacious and stylish with nice living areas and a well appointed kitchen complete with a fridge freezer and coffee machine. The living room is comfy with a flat screen TV which is Netflix ready. The staff are all lovely and welcoming and you have a great choice on your doorstep for bars and restaurants. The train station and bus station are also two minutes walk away. I would definitely recommend this cool place!

We stayed in the 2 bed 2 bath penthouse suite and everything was perfect ! Laura at the bar when we checked in early is such a friendly kind person. The suite is huge with everything you could want including incredibly comfortable beds, pillows and bath towels. It is a little noisy with the bar downstairs and other bars in the area but ear plugs are provided. Location, comfort, value are great!!!

Only stayed a night but wish it could have been longer. Check in next door at the restaurant and we got a tour of the hotel and our room. Our tour guides were very friendly! The room was amazing- clean and spacious with many unexpected extras (such as a Keurig). Parking is down the street and their are stairs to climb which may not be suitable for some travellers. We loved it and certainly will stay again soon!

Check in a little complicated as you have to ask for check in at the restaurant/bar next door. However staff was very friendly and helpful. Once checked in the hotel has great and comfortable suites. Perfect for a relaxed stay for more days. Rooms are comfortable, Big and nice. In the heart of Downtown and plenty of dining options around. Parking a bit complicated but OK just make sure you use the lot behind the hotel.

It is a bit odd having no front desk but checking in during the afternoon (after the lunch rush and before the dinner rush) was no issue. Bar staff were friendly and very accommodating. Had to switch rooms after the first night due to AC not working properly and the guest services manager was quick on addressing the issue and switched us to a nicely appointed room. Yes there is huge issue with bar noises at night time but having had lived in Guelph for more then 12 years we knew what to expect. This is the best hotel to stay at if you want to walk and explore downtown Guelph and the area.
